  1. I’ve been holding off on this post for a couple days but this facetious Twitter post got me off the fence. I know it’s hard to tell tone in a post so please know this isn’t an angry or demeaning rant, it’s more of a curious rant. Why do some fans choose not to have confidence in this team? We’re the best team in the league and there’s still posts about “remember the Jags game”, “any given Sunday”, “this will be the game this team gets out of their slump”, “we don’t have tape on this rookie QB so he could torch us”, etc., etc., etc. Or, there may be posts that pick out one strength from the opposing team or one weakness from us and they’re worried about that instead of choosing to be confident in the nine strengths we do have going into that game. I’ll only mention this one thing about the game day posts because many times that’s when the worst comes out. There’s posts on there where we’ll have a rough start or a stalled drive or two and people are calling for the coaches’ heads. I think most fans get that we’re not gonna win every game and that the jags game or any given Sunday game could happen once or possibly twice a year. Why not go into some games (I say some games because I get being nervous going into a game like the Chiefs, Ravens or another good team but against teams like the Steelers, Jets or another middling team?) confident and then if there is an “any given Sunday” or “Jags game” outcome then just chalk it up as such. We’re at a level where we can enjoy this team without having to worry about every negative, weakness or game. We get critique but calling for the coach’s head when he’s the winningest coach in our history? -We’re the best team in football (we know there may be a game or two where it’s any given Sunday) -Someone in another post mentioned this already but we’ve beaten the #2 seed, #3 seed and #4 in our conference -JA is one of the best, if not the best, QBs in the league right now -We have the #1 defense and a top-three offense -Our point differential is the highest in the league and the next team isn’t even close -The average points we’ve beaten the Rams, the Titans, the Ravens and the Chiefs by is 15 points -We’ve blown people out and have won close games -We’re the #1 seed in the AFC, and again, the best team in football What more do you need to be confident going into games? If you’re one of these fans, I’d love to hear from you. Do you just find something to be nervous about, do you just not have enough confidence in this team, are you just trolling or…? I’d love to hear from a lot of Bills Mafia as well. Curious rant over. Go Bills!
  2. I’m finding myself caring more about the outcomes of division leaders or potential division leaders than teams in our own division. Now, don’t take this too far (we have some bills fans on here that like to take thoughts to the extreme). I still care about the outcomes of our division teams as well. I just don’t see winning the division as much of an issue as getting the #1 seed. That’s the level that the bills are on now and I also believe we’ll take care of business when we play our division. I’ve even found myself a couple/few times this year wanting a division team to win over another division leader so that the division leader would have a worse record and make it harder to get the top seed over the bills. And of course, the Bills currently have a good starting lead from their own doing as well because of who they’ve beat along with their 5-1 record. Any of you having similar thoughts or do you always root against division teams no matter what?
  3. Great topic, Alfa. First part of the name is obvious. The second part of my name is the area code I live in; San Diego. Go Bills!
  4. It's a Bills mini-movie presented by the NFL of our win over the Chiefs. It's good. Here's the link - https://www.nfl.com/videos/mini-movie-bills-get-their-revenge-vs-chiefs-in-week-6-statement-win We have the best record in the conference at 5-1. We've beat the SB Champs. We've beaten every current division winner in the AFC. Get this one, JA has more TDs than TWENTY NINE other NFL teams. CRAZY GOOD! Here's the link for that - Enjoy the movie. Enjoy the bye. Go Bills!
  5. …25 NFL teams do. On top of that, he has more offensive production in five games than the Bears offense has in SIX games. I’m sure it won’t hold up for the whole season but it’s pretty incredible. It dawned on me that it wasn’t too long ago that the Bills would've been the team in this stat instead of the Bears. We used to be on the wrong end of these types of things. So glad Beane, McD, JA and company has changed that narrative. Time to face KC fellas. Get er done. Go Bills! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/10-wildest-nfl-stats-through-five-weeks-josh-allen-better-than-25-offenses-nick-chubb-matching-jim-brown/amp/
  6. The Bills vs. the Chiefs. Our biggest game to date this season. Should be fun (and stressful at times 😂). As many have said, our advantage is our passing attack vs. their secondary. The Bills offense is going to get their points just like they did in both games last year. So, for my impact player, my sights turn to the defense. I'm going with the person we signed this offseason to be the difference maker in these types of games. Mr. Von Miller, I'm looking at you. VM is going to be motivated. He knows why he was brought in here and he's never beaten Mahomes when Kermit has started. Von will cut down the time Mahomes has to make some of his typical Mahomes like plays. Also, look for Von to make a couple plays (whether pressures or sacks) that end up stopping Chief drives. Also, the Von Miller effect will be in full force and will allow our other DL players the opportunity to disrupt and get home. These things will be enough to give us the edge on the scoreboard with the Bills winning by 7-10 points. Who ya got, Bills Mafia? Go Bills!
  7. McD preaches complementary football. The Bills are playing on another level. It’s more like complementary domination so far. The Bills have a point differential of 91 points. To put that into perspective, the two teams with the second highest point differential are the Eagles and 49ers at 47 points. The Bills almost double that total. Get this, if KC wins by 21 points over the Raiders tomorrow their differential will only be 54 points. Our defense is tied with the 49ers for the lowest points surrendered in the NFL at 61 points. You could argue that if our offense didn’t gift the opposing offense two very short fields (starting inside the ten yard line both times) in back to back games that our defense would only have given up 47 points at this point. I digress though. Moving on. Our offense has scored 152 points. That’s an average of 30.4ppg vs. 12.2ppg. We’re outscoring our opponents by a 2.5 times margin. This is all being done while supposedly being in the harder part of our schedule. We’ve played the Super Bowl champs, the #1 AFC seed from last year (and still the current #1 team in their division) and also the current #1 team in the AFC North division. This is also all being done with the rash of injuries to start the season. Yep, complementary domination at its finest. Go Bills. Bring on KC.
  8. JA had 348 yards in the FIRST HALF alone. The most yards in a single half in Bills history. He finished the game (more like 3/4's of the game) with a career high (and franchise high for a regulation game) 424 yards. He had eight plays of 20 plus yards. The 98 yard pass was the longest play against the Steelers since 1966. This is the worse loss in the Tomlin era. Not too shabby for a coach who has never had a losing season in his tenure. This is actually their worse loss since 1989 when they lost to the Browns 51-0. Gabe Davis had 32.1 fantasy points on three catches. The only other WR to do that since the merger? Randy Moss (39.3 fantasy points on three catches). Oh, and then there was this Total domination against a VERY proud franchise and fanbase. Well done, fellas. Well done. We're on to KC.
  9. The title isn't a shocker because many are on the "JA is MVP" train. But, there was something he said that was crazy. He said that JA himself has more offensive production than FIFTEEN teams in the NFL. If Jeff Saturday is correct, that's about half of the NFL teams in the whole league. To put it into context, that's pretty much a whole conference worth of teams. That's scary good. JA has ALL of our TDs at 12. He's averaging 352.5 total yards per game. Again, amazing. I tried to find a succint clip about what Jeff Saturday said but it's lost in a ten minute clip. Sorry about that, ladies and gents. I've said this to my kids recently. JA has been great for a few years now. So, it's something we're used to. That said, every time I think he can't impress anymore, he has a throw, an escape, a juke, a stiff arm, a hurdle, etc. where he leaves you amazed and impressed all over again. Let's go, Josh. Get us to 4-1 tomorrow heading into the Chiefs game. The game where you'll show everyone that you're the MVP candidate over Patrick "Kermit" Mahomes. Go JA! Go Bills! Edit - @PrimeTime101, like I mentioned in the post, it's in a ten minute clip not a succint clip. That said, here's the link. It starts at about the 7 minute and 20 second mark.
  10. The Steelers are the team I don't like most in the NFL. One of the reasons I don't like them is because I used to live in PA when they were good and we were smack dab in our long drought. Another reason is some of the fans are insufferable. Some think they'll be able to convert you to being Steeler fans. One time, one lady fan found out that I was a Bills fan. She looked right at me and said, "Why do you even live here?". This was at Wal-mart, not the stadium. 😂🙄 I hope we destroy the Steelers on Sunday, and even with the injuries, I think we will. I'm not concerned with our D against a rookie QB starting their first game. Plus, our defense has been playing lights out no matter who we've had in there or who we've played against. So, my focus turns to the O. With Knox out, Davis with the ankle and McKenzie as a unknown still for the game, I'm going with our man, Diggs. He's dominated teams this year and I expect no different in this game. With Watt being out, this should allow the line to focus a little more on Hayward which gives Josh a little bit more time to get Diggs on the intermediate and deep routes. Diggs with a monster game again. Who ya got, Bills Mafia?
  11. It's pretty crazy that this week's and last week’s game came down to a failed attempt on 2nd and Goal from the 1 (both plays amounted to negative yards). If you have 2nd and Goal from the 1, you expect to punch it in and the odds are heavily in your favor that you will. So again, pretty wild that it happened two weeks in a row. We all know the scene last week. Josh, because of the struggles of the center/QB exchange throughout the game, had to be in shotgun. The result, a play that loses a couple yards. 3rd and Goal, incomplete to Diggs (almost intercepted). 4th and Goal, the short and incomplete pass to Lil Dirty. Bills lose. This week. 2nd and Goal from the 1 and a MONSTER stop by Milano (IMO, this was the defensive play of the game) that resulted in a four yard loss. 3rd and Goal, LJ is stopped at around the 2 or 3 yard line. 4th and Goal, the amazing INT by Jordan Poyer. Bills storm down the field, win the game and all is right in Bills land. Side note - the Bills caused seven negative plays against Baltimore who is the #4 ranked offense (they were #4 at the start of the game, that ranking could be different now). That's some incredible defense we're playing especially with some significant pieces still out. What a great game and what an amazing play by Matt Milano. So glad we were on the winning side this time around. Go Bills!
  12. The defense has played very well against Lamar in the two games they played against him. I’m not saying Lamar won’t have a good game, but I’m not concerned, because I think the defense will do enough against him. Sometimes you can make just as much of an impact off of the negative plays you prevent as you do the positive plays you produce. So, I’m going to go with Mitch Morse. The center QB exchange most likely cost us 10 points last week. The bad snap that cost us three points at the end of the half and putting Josh in shotgun on second and itches at the goal line (if I recall correctly, McD mentioned that one of the reasons Josh was in shotgun in that situation was because of the struggles with the exchange during the game). Besides that, I think he’ll be a steady presence as well as a solid blocker against a formidable front four for JA on an o-line that’s banged up right now. This can give JA the time he needs to really carve up that bad Ravens secondary. Who ya got, Bills Mafia?
  13. With all the injuries this week, it's been a little tougher to predict an impact player since there are so many possibilities of how the defense could scheme to cover weaknesses/injury. I'm going with Jordan Poyer (JP). Even though he's questionable, Leslie Frazier alluded to players being able to play when they know the scheme well and go through their mental reps well. I hoping he's hinting at JP playing with those type of statements. Here's my reasoning for picking him. He could very well have a very strong behind the scenes impact. Even though Jaquan Johnson is solid and are two rookies are capable and growing each and every play, it still helps to have a veteran back there who's seen it all. JP will be able to instinctually see things that they may not see yet. JP is also a very good communicator which provides a solid presence for the other three. On top of this, JP has been balling out and already has 2 INTs on the year. That said, even if he doesn't get the stats, his impact will be felt in the ways I described above. Who ya got, Bills Mafia? Go Bills!
  14. Love the attitude and culture that Von Miller is bringing to the defense. It’s definitely apparent in the first couple wins with how dominating the whole team has been. “We have an attitude of domination,” Miller said. “We're not playing the game to just win the game, we’re playing the game to dominate the game. And we've got a team full of killers.” Also, right above the article there’s a nice video segment with Stefon Diggs about the mindset of the Buffalo Bills this season. And people are picking the Dolphins. 🤣😜 Go Bills! https://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/37476/bills-defense-stays-hot-despite-injuries-but-can-the-unit-keep-it-up
  15. They showed this stat towards the end of the game. It’s the most games by any team in the NFL since 2017. That’s the process, Mafia! Beane drafts them. McD develops them and turns them into winners. What a front office, what a team! 72-17 the last two weeks against the SB champs and the #1 seeded AFC team. The Bills are for real and much of it has to do with these two. Go Bills!!!
  16. Good article about one of TBDs favorite whipping boys (of 2021). Even the shnowman didn’t like him last year. Now, he’s proud of him. Bobby Hart mentions how high the expectations are here compared to other teams he’s been on. Love it! https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/how-a-position-switch-and-some-brutal-honesty-helped-bobby-hart-rescue-his-nfl-career/article_e3366470-35fb-11ed-8a1d-cb7dc5f76845.html Go Bills!
  17. You're predicting us to punt? Have we regressed that much in your eyes from week 1 to week 2? 🤣😜 Bills 27 Titans 13
  18. Monday Night Football in our home opener. It's going to be FANdemonium. Bills Mafia out in full force for all the NFL to see. The Titans would love to keep our high powered offense off the field as much as possible through long sustained drives. With Derrick Henry being the obvious focal point of the offense, our DL is going to need to control the line consistently on Monday night so that he's contained. Keep him contained and we have a great chance to keep those long drives to a minimum. Get the Titans in 3rd and 5 or more consistently and it's going to be a long night for them. I believe our DL will be up to the challenge. We've done well against Henry overall throughout his career. In four games against the Bills he has 334 total rush yards. Not bad but not great. Think about this. Take away his 76 yard run last year, which some would say shouldn't have even counted because of all the holding on that play, and his total rushing yards against us in four games is 258 yards. Even with Oliver and Settle up in the air, our DL comes to "eat" again and DaQuan Jones is my pick for biggest impact. Who ya got, Bills Mafia? PS - Who ya got, @Success? @machine gun kelly, @LyndonvilleBill and @muppy, it’s time for your predictions.
  19. JA breaks his single game completion percentage record - 83.9% JA had 353 total yards and 4TDs Jalen Ramsey allowed a perfect passer rating of 158.3 (PFF's initial grading). If I recall correctly, when they introduced him at the start of the game, he was the #1 ranked CB out of 116 JA had more rush yards than the Rams whole team - 56 to 52 (I know JA running, especially late, is a hot topic but still) No punt game again (four out of the last six games have been no punt games) First team in NFL history to have seven sacks, three INTs and not punt in a game ZERO blitzes in the game but SEVEN sacks We won by 21 points even with four turnovers (gotta clean that up though) The 21-point win is the second-largest margin of victory in a season opener against a reigning Super Bowl champion In the words of Sean McVay, “This was a humbling experience”. We be good, Bills Mafia. On to the Titans. Go Bills!
  20. I definitely agree. It’s probably because he hasn’t won a Super Bowl but I’m surprised he doesn’t get more credit at times for the complete turnaround he’s accomplished. Even some of our fans, they’re willing to turn on him after a couple bad decisions or games. I’m not saying he doesn’t get any credit, it’s just surprising that he doesn’t get more with how great of a turnaround he’s had, on top of how great his team is/has been. Coach McD is amazing!
  21. LETS GO!!! GO GO BUFFALO!!! GO BILLS!!!
  22. Feels great to have this thread again. It means football's back. Woohoo!!! I think it's most likely going to be a pretty tight game. Our offense is going to get their points. So, if our defense can create some sort of advantage (even a small one), I believe we win. My biggest concern on defense is our CBs especially against Cooper Kupp and company. Our starting CBs are a rookie and someone that's typically a backup if starters aren't injured (at least up until this point in his career). Dane Jackson did play well last year though in Tre's absence. With this in mind, if we can be disruptive and throw off Stafford's timing this could really help our CBs out. So, I'm going with our newly acquired LB, Mr. Von Miller. Games like these is why we got him. His presence can make the difference in a game like this with where our current CB situation is especially going against the quality of wideouts that we'll face in this game. Again, we may only need a small advantage in this game to win so I'm hoping that Von knowing the Rams players' tendencies can be somewhat of an advantage as well. Who ya got? Go Bills! PS- @LyndonvilleBill, do you know who you're picking? 🤣 @muppy, you going with your boy wonder? Or, are you thinking someone different for this game? @machine gun kelly, who ya got, bro?
  23. It's officially the first game week of 2022 which means it's time for the Bills Mafia edition of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year". 24. JA is #5 The only people ahead of him is Mahomes, Donald, Rodgers and Kupp. Cool side note is that he’s ahead of Brady as TB12 is #20 Diggs is #22 WRs ahead of him are Kupp, Jefferson, Adams and Chase Poyer is #58 Miller is #73 (surprised he wasn’t higher) White is #88 Here’s the link if you want to dive into the details.
