  1. Funny thread, truly... We play the Jets (win) and they go to Cleveland to play a motivated Browns team that has more talent than them. A week from today we will all laugh at this thread. They will threaten the division right to week 16 or 17, but we'll win it and have a home playoff game. Book it.
  2. NE gets the Browns and Titans before we play them on Dec 6. We'll know exactly who is who in 30 days. Seems all for nothing though, TB or LA (Rams) seems to be the obvious choice for a SB title.
  3. I think Jones is more like Garoppolo, which is still like Brady but without the "clutch" gene. 😁 I could be wrong, because a lot of guys could be like Brady with the Bucs personnel around them. That's a ridiculous wealth of talent and skill on that team right now.
  4. If Folk's kick was 10" to the right we are having a totally different conversation. I thought it was a great game and I find myself enjoying the game more when I don't care who wins. Tampa did what great teams do, they find a way to win the tough ones and walk out with the win. Hoodie and Mullet had a pretty impressive defensive game plan, fun game to watch.
  5. It's soda in most of NY State (Northern NY, Southern NY, Eastern NY, and west to Syracuse where it gets mixed. Seems to me "pop" for soda is a WNY phenomenon.
  6. LMAO, Victor Kiam.... (Lisa Olsen, Patriot Missles). 🤣
  7. I think Keith Jackson and Ben Coates are better than a few on the list, both of them were excellent blockers in the run game but could still hang with everyone else on the list in the pass game from an earlier era (without the two hand touch rules we have now).
  8. Hey, at least we're not Green Bay? 😁
  9. Awesome.... I hope the weather is good and Allen throws it all over the place to start off on a high note. (random thought) Speaking of high note... Every outdoor event I've been to this Summer in NY State has smelled like a weed fest, now that its legal. I hope the Bills home games aren't ganje parties. The smell is pervasive, even at the State Fair.
  10. I think he's half of Brady, looked like it in the pre-season. He threw well under duress, threw accurately and ON TIME. That impressed me a lot. Just watched this: FIRST TAKE | Adam Schefter "BREAKING" Patriots release QB Cam Newton; Mac Jones will start at QB - YouTube
  11. Really surprised they straight up released Newton. Wow... Guess we won't need to wait to see who Jones is. What I find puzzling is that they only have Hoyer behind him. Dunno, I saw Jones move and throw like Brady from a dirty pocket.... Not fair
  12. Last year they were crushed by a ton of dead money, opt outs, and injuries. They had to pay up on all the contracts that they had paid out in order to make that 5-6 year run happen, last year was pay up time. Clearly that team has talent this year and in comparing our depth to theirs it looks favorable for either depending on the position group. Not sure what you're looking at, could you be specific? Cheers
  13. I'm not sure re-signing a 1st round pick is a sign of anything considering how NE handles its payroll. That jump in contract from rookie to big veteran money us a sure way to have a few star players with no depth to back them up. I feel like we did that for many years.
  14. I see Bills bandwagoners all over now. In Saratoga the bunting changes between Giants - Patriots (that's lots of play off appearances in the last 25 years or so). Now there's Bills flags, hats, bumper stickers, t-shirts all over the place. Its a love hate thing, love to see it, but hate that band wagon phenomenon.
  15. I'm feeling that way too. It's the Steelers and Big Ben coming to town, not the Jets....
  16. Fair questions, we'll get answers in less than THREE WEEKS! Can't wait.
  17. Steelers look pretty solid on offense with 2 pass catching TE's, good WR's and a stud rookie at RB. Looks like they can light it up ,and the D looks to be solid also. I'm not ruling them out.
  18. It looks to me the Pats are trying to win the same way they've been doing it for 2 decades. Same coach, same methods, different players.
  19. NE showed up and more or less played the type of game we've been expecting since their spending spree. Newton looks improved, Mac Jones looks as advertised also. I am surprised that they are down 3 out of 4 TE's when that was their biggest upgrade this past offseason. We expect them to play tough D, try to run on everyone, etc. Now what I really want to know is can they rely on their kicker (either one) and can they throw the ball to win a game if they have to. Two big questions that remain. The Jets aren't going anywhere this season and the Dolphins probably aren't either, so this is a two horse race and we're the fav. I have slowly growing concern over this NE team though....
  20. Still... That was a 99 yd drive, power football. Impressive even in preseason.
  21. Last 20? We've been struggling with them since 1994. If not for Jim Kelly's Bills and OJ, this series would be completely one sided: https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/new-england-patriots/teamvsteam?opp=4
  22. Jones is Chad Pennington 2.0 He looks like the same exact player, but the major difference may show up in durability. Pennington was smart but physically limited, though he knew exactly how to play within his limits and was very efficient. I think that's what Jones is now and will be going forward.
  23. I really wanted to see Stidham in camp with them just to throw a wrench in the works. Jones has the noodle arm, Cam's is broke and Stidham has a legit NFL arm but not the leadership intangibles of the other two. It would have really muddied it up to have a guy in their camp who can sling it and put the other two in context.
  24. Fitz looked great, hope he never retires. Always fun to watch (as long as he's not playing for us).
