  1. I think we are all good fans--even the Pats trolls that flood the boards (gasp!). What this board shows is just how differently people like to cheer for their team. Some favor tough love (all the-"this team sucks, we won't win a game camp")...does that make them bad fans? No. These fans are passionate as hell and want to see the best team possible out on the field. Yet, so far they have been dissapointed. They don't make these pessimistic posts out of spite for the team, they just are frustrated. Me (and a few others) like to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. I just put my faith in the team each and every weekend, and wait till it's all said and done to pass judgment. Does that make me a better or worse fan? No. Just different in my approach. After being a Bills fan for 20 years, I still haven't become jadded or pessimistic since each and every sunday offers a chance to turn it around...especially in today's NFL. Maybe it's just me, but I see a talented team lurking under the surface. Something (lack of a leader or spark perhaps?) is keeping that team under the surface. But I just have faith that at some point this year that talented team under the surface will emerge and start to turn this club around... I just hope it happens sooner rather than later...week 4 sounds about right to me
  2. You obvioulsy didn't watch that NE game then. I watched it all (nothing like NFL ticket with two TVs going at once lol). The Cards defense pressured Brady all day and forced him to make a ton of bad throws. If the Cards had any sort of running game they would have won. Bills may not be as talented this year as the Pats, but the Pats are not unbeatable. And we will prove it next Sunday.
  3. Did you watch NE play yesterday? They won, but looked miserable...against the Cards. Are they better than us right now? Yes. Are they the best team in the league? Not even close. They have lots of flaws that are coming to the surface. They are certainly beatable. And like I said in a previous post, someone will beat the Pats this season...why can't it be us? Our Defense will hold their offense in check, we will be able to run up the middle on the Pats (something we couldn't do against Jax or Oakland's D-Line), and we are playing in our backyard. I would not be surprised in the least to see our offense snap out their funk against NE. Isn't it always the case in the NFL? One game a week everyone says "there's no way team X can beat team Y" and what happens? Team X wins. (Example, Chicago in GB)... In week 4, we will be team X.
  4. Any given Sunday... Besides, the Champs have looked very mortal the last two weeks. They should have lost to the Colts and 'Zona almost stole that game from them yesterday. This year's version of the Pats is not nearly as impressive as last years. They won't repeat. Now, do I think they are better than we are right now? Sure. But I'm not ready to write this game off as a loss just because last year the Pats won the title...the Pats can and will be beaten by someone this year, why can't it be us?
  5. I agree! The Bills will play the role of spoilers and break the streak before the Pats can set the record. How sweet it will be
  6. I think that was a picture of my aunt...
  7. Game over...here come the Sox posts... Good game for the Sox...we have to win these next 2 games.
  8. They only hit him well in the regular season. In the post season he dominates them (and everyone else).
  9. Screw Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Giambi and the like. Those records don't mean a thing since they were all done with the help of the needle.
  10. Do you think they are going to let Giambi shoot up before his at bat? Seeing how he is worthless without the smack...
  11. lol...no need. Even with this loss (yes, we will lose since you jinxed us... ) we're still up with 5 games to go...
  12. Hahahaha. John Sterling, going over the Yankee's bottom 9 lineup goes: "Posada, hitless tonight...and then you got Giambi who hasn't had a hit since July 11th" Way to rub it in John, poor guy has had a tumor from the juice...way to rub it in...
  13. 1st and 2nd, one out, Mo struggling...Thanks Rayzer. You have now made my stevestojan list.
  14. With our pitching this year, no lead is safe...especially with their bats. Thanks for putting the jinx on though
  15. Just fuel for the fires during the days between games. At least that's how I look at them.
  16. I agree. If there is one positive from this, it's this I guess: If PP's rankings are correct, and Jax really is 11th in the league, then we played a GREAT game to almost beat such a high ranked, high powered team! I love how whacky these rankings are the first couple weeks.
  17. Hope this wasn't posted already... http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/7680457 How, after watching how bad Jax looked offensively last weekend, can PP justify putting them in the top 15? In fact, Jax actually moved UP in his rankings! It continues to amaze me how two sane (I think) people can see the same game totally differently.
  18. Who's going to be the first to join TKO's fan club? How funny would it be if T-Bone were the one to win a dinner with TKO, I would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation
  19. To be fair, it wasn't in the initial title...it was edited in after everyone got so upset. I kinda wish he didn't edit it in
  20. Dunno if this was posted, but it seems like TKO will be doing one collumn a week (or every other) for IGN about football and video games. Could be interesting. http://sports.ign.com/articles/546/546854p1.html
  21. That's what's cracking me up too. I almost wish other people hadn't clued everyone into the sarcasim just to watch people over react...even people on the board that I KNOW have a great sense of humor...but I won't name names (LA... ) are taking it too seriously. Still, it's funny as hell to watch this train wreck.
  22. Coaches should get 2 years before we lable them a bust or a success (unless they take a team deep into the playoffs before then).
  23. I was there too and I agree. The play was right near the endzone where I sit and it would have been a very risky throw.
  24. It was a busted play. Drew checked off and Travis didn't hear him (I think). He looked to hand it off and Travis ran too far outside so Drew would have had to really reach to give it to him, so he ate it rather than risk a fumble on a bad handoff. At least, that is what it looked like to me through my Binocs.
