One thing that was said in Bills Digest this last week by Sam Adams was surprising to me. He said that they scheme NOT to get pressure with their front four. In particular, he, P-Diddy and Schobel are not supposed to apply pressure. Rather, they are just there to clog up the blockers so that the BLITZING LBs and DBs can generate the pressure! He went on to say that if the coaches asked him to get pressure up the middle, he and P-Diddy could have 12 sacks a piece. But since they don't, he just does his job. So it seems that Jerry Gray's scheme actually makes our lack of a pass rushing DE look worse than perhaps it really is. I'm not making excuses, just pointing out that a lot of people here don't understand the scheme (myself included)...

Oh, and congrats to your team on their win this evening. I look forward to watching them square off against the Yankees in two weeks

Good points, but Willis's stats are misleading. He got over half of his yards on that long run. He was a spark plug, I'll give ya that. But he didn't do much more than Henry did. I said it earlier, and I'll say it again. The Jets D is the worst D we will face all year. The fact that we scored 14 points against them is sad. But the fourth quarter gave me a slight ray of hope.

And you know this because you sit on the sidelines I assume? Gimme a break. It's FOUR GAMES!!! He's a rookie coach, you have to give him more time before you can judge him (at least an entire season).

That's not a good enough excuse. The defense hasn't been able to stop anyone on third and long all year. Whether this is a scheme problem or a personel problem, I'm not sure. But the fact is that if the defense really wants to be the great defense they claim they can be, people need to step up and make plays when it counts.

I missed those comments. Damn, would have liked to see it too. But I still don't see Ralph firing TD this season (or next) and he certainly won't fire MM (I mean, come on, it's only been 4 games, you have to give a rookie coach more time than that). I think he is just trying to fire MM up with his comments. Could be wrong, but I just don't see there being any major shakeups in the front office or coaching staff this season (coordinators don't count)

You might be right. You might be wrong. Truth is, no one knows. So why waste one second worrying about it?

If you fire TD and bring in a new GM, chances are any GM worth his salt will want his own coach. Thus, no TD means no MM. Which also means that Ralph would be paying both TD and MM for NOT working. This is something Ralph has NEVER done very well (check out Wade Phillips for proof of that). Thus, neither TD nor MM are close to being shown the door. They will both be here next year, and probably the year after that. Accept it.

I hear ya. Trust me I do. And I am just as dissappointed and upset about this team's lack of performace as anyone else. But after watching Miami's last three games I am not disillusioned enough to say that Miami WILL beat us, you know?

You are just letting your dissappointment with the Bills cloud your judgment. The Dolphins have a worse line, could possibly be coming to town with Sage Rosenfelds at the helm and they are on their 4th RB of the year and they have no kicker. There is no way they match up with us offensivly. Any reasonable person has to admit that.

What makes you say they WILL lose to Miami AT HOME? Come on. Have you even WATCHED Miami play this year? They are terrible. We may be bad, but we aren't MIAMI bad.

That's exactly what happened. Yet people want to B word about anything TD does, so they latch onto that move. As if a GM should PLAN for their team to suck, not trade a future pick knowing that it would be a high one. Gimme a break. We got our QB of the future a year early. Fine by me.

WM is a spark plug. As bad as the Bills have played, they are still very much alive. If they can pull this one out it could be a huge momentum swing.

Yeah, I wish people would stop bitching about no first round pick. THey are the same ones bitching about Drew. Well, news flash, we have a first round pick this year...we just used it a year early to get the best QB available. So stop complaining about it.
