  1. How about them undeserving Orange! !!!!!##
  2. I can't believe there are no Bonaventures left, that's shocking
  3. Holy crap. What a turn of events
  4. as i said, doesn't sound like a company I would want to work for...hell, I turned down an opportunity to work for a company that required business dress. I'm 53 years old, have always worn jeans and golf or polo shirts, not gonna change now....my personal preference and am fortunate enough to have been able to make those decisions. how i dress has zero impact on how i do my job, i am not customer facing. name one person that does that...i dare you!
  5. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  6. Doesn't sound like a company I'd want to work for. Hell I used my cell phone yesterday to call into a meeting because my desk phone had a crappy connection.

  8. Enjoy the Heady, I had one saturday night while listening to ELP Brain Salad Surger. I'm heading out to a bar near me to hopefully score some Pliny the Younger at a tap event then watching the game, shaping up to be a great day!
  9. pretty cool....never heard of this guy http://www.jambase.com/article/jeff-tanski-discusses-prepping-trey-anastasio-fare-thee-well
  10. Hey, VCU and Shaka Smart had a nice long tenure together...mid majors aren't quite as one and done as they used to be, key is to get someone there to build the program, stick around for a few years with some success to make it even more attractive once they get to that level. My Dad went to Bonaventure so it has a small spot in my heart, but Syracuse consumes the rest of my college basketball heart.
  11. I'm not one of those that believe that statement, I am not sure if the committee got it right(or wrong) and if Syracuse beats Dayton, that won't do any more to convince me they got it right. I get the emotional let down, hell i fully believe that if Syracuse hadn't gotten in they would have declined all other post season tournaments, which is no better than mailing it in in one of the 'lesser' tournaments. Bonaventure is on a course heading in the right direction. It'll be nice to have some in-state competion...the UB crowd keeps pimping their team but so far I haven't seen it :-)
  12. i put it in the crock pot before i left work....i know it's not really irish, but my goodness do i love corned beef and cabbage

  14. Playing a Tom Izzo team is always a tall order, he is an amazing coach both during regular season, but especially during the tournament! Isso seems to really be good at coaching against the next opponent. I also think Syracuse with it's pesky 2-3 zone is the perfect kind of team for tournaments like this, they force the team to focus on that style of play moreso than if it is a regular season game, you can kinda be prepared to play the 2-3 zone during regular season and if you lose, well it hurts but at that moment, it doesn't end your season. Tournament time you need to know exactly how to play against the 2-3 zone or you do go home. But hey, Dayton first, that should be a great game.
  15. i know, but it really wasn't horrible with all the other flavors. won't order it again, but i thoroughly enjoyed it let me clarify, when i said steaks i was referring to cheesesteaks, not slab of meat steaks....sorry if that was confusing
  16. went to Gooey Looie's, holy cow, what a place, it's a little hole in the wall C-Store hidden in an out of the way strip plaza, not sure how anyone stumbles upon this place. Deli counter in the back maybe 6 feet wide, so very small. Hoagies and Steaks are 8-9 bucks and they are enormous. I mistakenly ordered my Steak with everything, not knowing everything meant pickles, catsup etc....i am glad i didn't know it because when i tasted it i was very pleased, it was delish. my one son ordered a bologna hoagie, as the guy handed it to me, he whispered he had run out of bologna so he took a buck off the price. I know why he ran out of bologna, he put enough on his hoagie for 3 sammys. My other son ordered an italian hoagie, best tasting and seasoned italian hoagie i have EVER tried. Just unreal how you can have places hidden away like that, they should be the ones reaping all the benefits that the touristy places get.
  17. are string cheese fans part of the whole nitrous mafia/hippie crack scene? that **** is cray-cray, for the record, I love hippie chicks
  18. also funny you mention stoners....walking out of the show afterwards and the usual pretzel and woodder vendors are outside peddling their wares. As we passed one guy he grumbled under his breath, due to lack of sales, "these f***ers aren't stoned, this sucks". :-)....fwiw, there was plenty of hippy lettuce being consumed in our section.
  19. how odd you mention HoG....guy behind me was wearing a HoG hoodie...i commented on it, said i had been there before, being from CNY
  20. my expectations were medium simply based on nostalgia, i expected a low key evening, i was pleasantly surprised, blown away in fact. Bonus was Tal Wilkenfeld as the opening act....didn't realize there was an opener.
  21. Holy Crap can those old dudes rock! Rodgers voice was on point, Pete was just killing it out there, 2.5 straight hours of great Who songs and everyone was joining in on the singing. No encore but a very heartfelt goodbye from both of them. I wasn't expecting that good a show from them. I had my 2 oldest with me, i told them before the show started "keep in mind, they are the same age as Grandma & Grandpa"....my mother wasn't amused when I texted her that message :-)
  22. I think it is great that there is a resurgence of NY basketball teams, Bona, UB, Stony Brook, Albany, Manhattan, Iona to name a few, being a Syracuse fan, I wish we had more games against these teams, but now i am careful to wish for such things because they aren't the 'little brothers' anymore.
  23. Tal Wilkenfeld - she's the bassist for Jeff Beck's band, a "prodigy", I knew she was incredible, just based on reputation, unbeknownst to me, she was the opener for The Who last night(and on the entire tour), she is amazing...oh and she's very cute
