  1. Thanks for that info. Facts are what we need here. I really hope they add some depth to OL and TE.
  2. I know that we have lots of opinionated and excitable people here. We can all see that some stories take on a life of their own (examples: trade Lynch, Whitner's a bust; draft Lefevour; trade for Gaither, cut Kelsey, etc. ). So now you expect "accountability"? What do you want? Do you ant all the "Brohm haters" to line up and apoligize because he did in fact make the 3rd string? Actually, I find some of that stuff entertaining and I enjoy the passion of the fans. When I tire of it I stop reading it. What we need are less threads like this that dwell on the past, deal in "I told you so", and call people out. Like you, I too do not wish to be negative, just adding my opinion.
  3. Hard to believe that. So we really go into the season with 3 back ups, two of which are rookies? Ho do you like this scenario? Hangartner gets hurt in the 1st quarter. Wood slides to center and Cordaro Howard takes over at RG. That scares me. I like the kid and he may develop inot a solid starter but I saw him play in preseason and he is not ready for prime time. What if Levitre or Wood get dinged next? Who plays left gaurd or center? You have Meredith or Wang, both of them are tackles. My lord I have to believe that there is a veteran C/G out there that can help us. Heck, even Chambers is availabe to back up G/T. No .... We really need a one veteran to backup C/G and a backup TE that can actually block somebody and help our tackles. I would settle for that. We have plenty of "QB projects" with Brohm and Levi Brown(expect Brown will make the PS).
  4. Um. He is really good and Pro Bowl material. Now lets see him stay healthy and make the Pro Bowl. OK? Agree. If you are a college player you are probably better off being a UDFA than a 6-7 round pick. That way you can select which team you go to and you can pick the one that needs you the most. Cordaro Howard (UDFA) beat out Kyle Calloway (round 7) and it was not even close.
  5. Finding a starter is unlikely, especially at the critical OT position. Teams do not cut staring caliber OT's. It will take weeks for the new player to learn the playbook and the system anyways. Best you can do right now is add depth.
  6. I heard of him. Git 'er done Buddy. He will improve our ST coverage if nothing else.
  7. Get a clue. Cordaro Howard, an undrafted rookie, is backing up both G and center ... and he never played center. We cannot go into the regular season with this situation. We need someone that can play the damm game as a backup. If Wood gets hurt we are screwed with Howard at RG and no backup center. We will pick up someone. Maybe not Jean-Gilles, but someone that can cover both positions. This has got to keep Chan up at night. Look at the depth chart.
  8. No kudos because is really a sign of a very weak team. I try to be positve and I love the Bills. I have been following them since I can remember (1964-65). This team has no Pro Bowl players other than the punter. There is very little depth outside of the secondary and RB. Our roster has only three back up offensive lineman on it and two are rookies (a 5th rounder and an UDFA). This is really not great news unless you agree that Nix is blowing this team up and starting over.
  9. Time for some reality. If there is inside joking going on I am not following it. Butler was a tackle in college who projected as a guard in the NFL. He was a good guard. He was an ok right tackle. That is it. Nothing special. Walker was a better RT than Butler. The only reason he even played tackle on the Bills is because our inept Front Office and coaching staff let Peters go and then cut Walker after trying to turn Walker into a LT on a no huddle offense. Geesh!!
  10. Literally. We have no one else.
  11. Expect to see some players added to OL and TE. There will be changes.
  12. OL= Bell - Levitre - Hangartner - Wood - Green Backups = Howard, Meredith, and Wang. Would like to see us pick up a veteran G/C. Cannot believe they will stay with only 8 on the OL and two TE's.
  13. This list looks more realistic.
  14. Take a chill pill. True there is only so much you can do. I just don't think they did enough to address the OL. Not even close. Are you telling me that they could not bring in any other veteran options on the OL? Other than Wood and Levitre and maybe Hangartner are you really satisfied with the players on the OL? Satisfied with Cordaro Howard as your number one backup gaurd option? Drinking the Kool Aid can be hazzardous to you and your QB's health.
  15. Nor surprised. Brown to the PS.
  16. All the pundits celebrated this pick on draft day. The Wild Cat with Pat White ... ohh boy!!! That Bill Parcells! Yoo Whoo!!!
  17. I think your point on have the done enough to improve the line is very valid. I am very concerned about the starting tackles and the depth at all OL positions. I was very pleased with the adjustment. Then I realized how basic that is. We have had bad coaching for so long.
  18. Failed attempt at humor ... I hope.
  19. i thought we were talking about Foschi?
  20. Amusing? I was bored to death. Nothing about football to back up his statements about Trent Edwards. That article was lousy.
  21. The corect rotation is no rotation. Play the guy that is hot. Game plan for situations that match their strenghts to the defenses weaknesses. Mix it up and keep them guessing. Make them change to match us. Never be predictable in a set rotation. I want to see a two tailback set in the games. Gailey hinted at this after the first pre-season game. Start with two tailbacks in the backfield and then one splits out wide like a flanker did back in the 60s. This could pull the defense out of the 8 in a box formation and back them off to enable a run (trap or a draw). Or we could pass to a mismatch with a LB covering Spiller or Jackson. We could actually force them to play nickel by using two running backs. Now, do this again but with three wideouts and who covers Parish? Which safety helps with Evans deep? Force them into 6 DBs and Spiller bcomes deadly if he can get one block to spring him past the line of scrimmage. Lots of possibilities all predicated on being able to block.
  22. I think Roosevelt makes the Practice Squad. No shame in that. No other team will take. Every team has a guy like Roosevelt in camp, I guy that looks good and "almost makes it". He looked good but we need to see what Jackson and Johnson can do. They are veterans and have 3 years on him. With Easley out, Nelson was clearly the best looking rookie WR. He will make the squad and be what Hardy was supposed to be.
