Why is Tyrod Taylor not more revered in the Bills fan base?

Because he wasn’t that good- 279 replies

Was obviously going to happen, no matter what people say. Hopefully the heat is on and they'll be gone if we don't win a super bowl in the next 2-3 years. McDermott mostly deserves it. Beane should be thanking Josh because without him, his draft record is terrible.

I have some problems with McDermott, but I don’t care that he is a control freak. -

Should be fired instead for the consistent underperformance and lack of development. This promotion just goes to show you what being friends with McDermott can do for you.- 137 replies

Thanks coach McDermott… you’re one of the best coaches in the game.

I totally agree on Beane. Aside from the Allen pick, which obviously was amazing, the draft record and free agent signings are mediocre. The reputation he has as a "wizard" or "big baller beane" is a total joke. Do wizards sign Ed Oliver to big extensions? Or strike out on every defensive line free agent we've had? Or let Spencer Brown play right tackle? He is a mediocre GM coasting on the Allen pick. -
You are probably right. Beane is obsessed with his draft picks so Shaq will probably be gone instead of Boogie
-
Boogie is in trouble. Hopefully we can get a 7th for him
-
It is only a good thing if the players are good and actually worth the money.
-
Laughable. Can’t wait to hear the justification for this from the fanboys. 17 million a year for a guy who doesn’t produce? That is a contract for a great DT, not Ed Oliver. Brandon Beane continues to pay and overrate players he drafted.
-
Probably an upgrade over Spencer Brown. Finally some actual competition for him.
-
More sacks than bum Ed Oliver last year, and he's playing 1T.
-
So who winds with the Bills after May 2?
MWK replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poona Ford and Ngakoue/Clowney/Floyd would be awesome. -
Karl Brooks?
-
Hopefully he is better than special teamer Terrell Bernard
-
Fantastic pick. Protecting Josh!!!
-
Fine, maybe I am too negative. But his overall draft record is not good.

Misses: Star Trent Murphy Epenesa Ed Oliver at 9 Boogie Basham Spencer Brown Not doing anything significant at OL for a long time Zack Moss Trading for Hines and not using him Not having any WR's last season and signing Brown and Beasley Cody Ford Trading away Teller Dumping Hodgins for nothing to keep Jake Kumerow Tyler Kroft Frank Gore, Chris Ivory monstrosities Drafting 3 running backs in the top 3 rounds in 4 years Terrell Bernard special teamer in the third round Overpaying Dawson Knox Having McKenzie play way too much A bunch of minor misses in Free Agency (Quinton Jefferson, OJ Howard) Rodger Saffold Hits: Josh Allen (Obviously one of the greatest moves we have ever made) Diggs trade Gabe Davis in the 4th Dane Jackson in the 7th DaQuan Jones Edmunds Taron Johnson Mitch Morse Beasley Dawson Knox (in the draft) Tyler Bass Singletary (kind of) Minor hits in the draft (Harrison Phillips) This doesn't sound like the record of a top 10 GM to me.
-
Don't worry, Spencer Brown didn't play because of COVID in 2020 so the jump is coming this year!
-
Dexter or Benton will be the pick. Beane can't resist using second rounders on D-Line. Sanders or Simpson would be ideal but they are not falling to us at 59.
-
Have you seen Beane's draft history besides Josh Allen and Edmunds?
-
He says that every year about the board.
-
Ken Dorsey can’t use one tight end, why do we need two? Great job blowing a pick for him too Beane.
-
We’re taking Kincaid. What a waste.
