  1. Don't count Oakland out just yet. They have a lousy record but if you noticed, they played with some real fire against Tenny. Tennessee doesn't have a great record either, but they have been playing lights out lately, so that Oakland win, to me, was impressive.

That last JAX game is on the road in Oakland.

    You just gotta believe!!!

Oakland has improved. They played a great game in Denver a few weeks back and they have played well (even though they have lost) since then. If they play tough for pride, who knows? Collins has been playing some good football recently. Maybe I'll even have to cross the Bay and cheer on the Raiders that day.

  2. What I am wondering is if the jags have a let down this next week....

I mean...think about it....they are coming off a mentally and physically draining game with the packers...who almost get the turnover they need to tie it and send it to overtime.....

It is games like this that cause a team to come out flat....I think they lose next week...

I look at it like this....if we win our remaining games and we get in then it was meant to be...if not...then it is a great start for a run deep into the playoffs next year.......

Yeah, on Primetime, Tommy Jackson and (of course) Boomer were all excited about the Bills. He pulled out the "nobody circles the wagons..." and Tommy Jackson said next year we will be a playoff team for sure. I think they are really hoping we get there. I guess i'm just being pessimistic because it'll be easier for me to swallow missing the playoffs if I don't get to excited here.

I will be on the houston bandwagon all week.

  3. I know...ive been sick about that game since yesterday - that was such an important game for us.

Baltimore will lose to Pitt in Pitt. And Denver will likely lose to Tenn in Tenn or to Indy the last week (even without all starters).

Lets hope Houston wins this weekend.

Houston is one of those Jekyl and Hyde teams. They can be really tough or they can get wiped out. They did beat Jax already and it was a decisive win. I wish the game was in Houston, I think Jacksonville is not an easy place for teams to play.

  4. You can't win when you throw two picks into the endzone. It was too bad really, but we can only win the games in front of us.

(On a side note, am I the only won who thinks Leftwich looks like a tall Gary Coleman? Whatchootalkin'bout, Willis?)

You are 100% right. He totally does.

I was so psyched when it appeared to be a Green Bay touchdown and then that guy just took it right out of his hands. Jacksonville is having one of those years where all the bounces go their way.

  5. That Green Bay game was crucial. I can't believe they were able to pull it off. That team just finds ways to win (as we well know). I was really hoping for a Brett Farve led comeback that just didn't happen. Jax has Houston and Oakland and both are very winnable games. I see us getting ahead of Denver and Baltimore and losing out to the Jets and Jax. I really hope I'm wrong. If we win out, then I think this team deserves a playoff spot.

  6. I jumped in in midstream, but was going to vote Eagles or Dolphins.

The Eagles undies calender was a stroke of hormonal marketing genius. We need that firm to promote US foreign policy.

The Eagles have by far, the best swimsuit calendar I've seen. It makes me proud and thankful to be an American when I view it.

  7. For probably the opposite reason that some of you like the Patriots' cheerleaders, I think the Washington Redskins have the sexiest cheerleaders, followed by the Tennessee Titans.

The Bengals cheerleaders aren't bad, especially considering that they're from this unsophisticated plain-wrap neck of the woods.

At the risk of "smack talking," the Jills are really not very attractive.  Is it the weather up there or what?

Come on, we've been down that road already.

    I submit for your approval:

I think the Dolphins might win the overall award.

  8. I did...they passed me onto an organization. One of our fans actually just emailed us and said he is a public relations officer for a reserve in Buffalo with troops over there, so we may actually be set.

We should send money and help to the families of the guys that got killed. I don't know where you get addresses. The Buffalo area has a very high number. Tim Russert mentioned this on Meet the Press.

  9. Allison's turn on's: Hee-Haw reruns, Mel Tillis concerts, and the back seat of cars with numbers on their doors.

Allison's type of man: One that's not yet committed to a relationship with his sister.

The jury is returning a verdict: I'D HIT IT YOUR HONOR!

  10. Man this place is sad!! I thought the DENVER FANS sucked but " YALL" take the cake...If  "YALL" think OHIO  is in the south  "YALL" need to look at a map.

We cross the river and we get Canada and good beer and hot strippers. You cross the river and you get Kentucky and a bunch of toothless hags. We win!

    Retreat to your double wide.

  11. I agree - I love baseball. I wish the AAA Bisons existed before I moved, although I did see Tony Pena play AA ball at the Rockpile - and a little AAA ball before the original Bisons left. Here  in Memphis we have a AAA team and it is much more affordable. Working people can afford 50-60 games per year. That is impossible at major league prices.

I'll take hthe NHL, AAA ball and the NFL over MLB any day. Buffal ohas a good thing going.

Out here, the A's (my team) struggle every year. The Bay Area is the epitome of the haves (Giants) and have nots- (A's)

  12. Hmmmm, my memory is pretty bad for a lot of things, but I am almost positive that this was one of the very early episodes, maybe not the first...

As far as having your mind boggled, I have the same thing with Bills games.  If something happens between August and December (sometimes January!) I can usually remember who the Bills were playing that weekend, and if they won or lost.  Amazing thing though, on game day, I get so caught up in the immediate play, I forget the sequence of events from earlier in the game....bizarre!

You know- selective memory. Last week, after the game, I went out to dinner with a girl I date. I can recall everything from the game last Sunday. Can't remember what either of us had for dinner or what we discussed. I'm sure I must have been a very fun date.
