  1. Going up with a group Friday morning and I know of many more heading up from the Bay Area. Not sure if anyone has a tailgate planned. Was thinking of meeting at a sports bar near the stadium. It would be fun to get enough Bills fans together to take one over. Let me know if you are going. If anyone is from Seattle and can recommend a bar, that would be cool.

  2. i agree...i think WGR was trying to make something out of nothing with this story.  he's not randy moss, but he's the biggest difference-maker on the roster.  moulds is going to be in the league a long time and i, for one, do not want to see him hoisting the lombardi trophy in any other uniform but ours.

He made a commitment by sticking around for less money when he could have gone to the Eagles. I heard some good things from him a few weeks back. I think he is committed to this team. Of course there is some doubt right now. Every player on that roster (except maybe Moorman) is a little down in the dumps.

  3. Moulds needs to stay a Bill. He will be instrumental in helping turn things around- starting at the end of this year and into next year. His comments are not unreasonable. I'd be frustrated if I were in his position. Let's see what happens when Losman gets a chance. Fortunes can change quickly. Obviously, Losman will be a better QB with Evans AND Moulds to choose from.

  4. Monorail! Monorail! Monorail!

speaking of monorail, was that the episode when they said "we're going to make shelbyville the next utica"

"I sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville and North Haverbrooke and it put those places on the map!"

Think what the ferry will do to Rochester!

  5. Ashcroft has a lot of faults, but this isn't one of them.  The FCC doesn't work for the Justice Department, it's a branch of the Commerce Department, who also had its head honcho resign (Don Evans).  But the buck really stops with its own chair, son-of-the-SecofState Michael Powell.  He's the prude here.

Helping out is Rep. Heather Wilson of New Mexico, who claimed she was so shocked by Janet Jackson's little incident that she started crying.  Heather, have you never looked down in the shower before?

Then I'd like to see Michael Powell go. However, his father can continue on for as long as he pleases. as far as I'm concerned.

  6. Many TV stations cancel 'Saving Private Ryan' over fear of FCC sanctions

(AP) --More than 20 ABC affiliates around the country have announced that they won't take part in the network's Veterans Day airing of "Saving Private Ryan," saying the acclaimed film's violence and language could draw sanctions from the Federal Communications Commission.

This stevestojan drives me crazy. What country do we live in? I'm glad Ashcroft is leaving. That guy is directly responsible for this new era of prudishness in the media and arts. Good riddance.

  7. How many of you believe the Bills make the playoffs this year?

Start rooting hard against the Jets, Jaguars, Ravens, Chargers, Texans and Chiefs.

If you somehow pull out a win this week, 4-5 is still a steep hill to climb when you're talking about catching the Ravens or the Broncos/Chargers loser (each team 6-3)

After this week, I'll wish you luck.

If we can take the NE and Seattle games, there is a chance. It's not likely, but it's not impossible. The old adage "Take one game at a time" applies here.

  8. Given our road history and past last half dozen prime time performances mixed in with the fact that we haven't won in NE since the Clinton Administration I can't blame them for being confident. I believe our last win in NE was an OT win. Bledsoe caught his finger in Sam Rogers helmet and John Friese had to play......Sam Cowart was an animal that game. Steve Christie nailed a 53 yarder in miserable conditions. The ball never rose above 12 feet off the ground, hooked a little and tied the game....a great kick. Oh yeah Flutie was our QB also...a long time since we've had a W in NE....I guess we're overdue.

Our D was so awesome that day that we won the OT toss and elected to kick. A decision that proved damn smart.

I remember that Christie kick. It was crazy- didn't look like it had a prayer and then it hooked at the last second. Ugliest make I've seen. Great game, but it has been way too long since winning there. I think we have a shot this weekend. New England has had trouble with stopping the run this year. Willis could have a good day.
