Soem very interesting ideas here. The great thing about this show is that it makes you actually think. It's a smart show, even if it is merely entertainment.
I'll retract what I said before, the monster must exist in some form, as it did kill the pilot. The French woman alluded to it and everyone on the island saw the trees being knocked around. I have no explantion right now.
Then there is the buried metal object. Any theories about that?

Sawyer in the police station was amusing. There is another story looming.
Did anyone get a glimpse of the monster? It appeared to have no form. Obviously, it isn't real, it's in their heads.

Colts for me too. Manning is an easy guy to root for. I'm not happy about Irsay, but I'd like to see the Colts win.
Not the Jets or Eagles.

Those things have a full stand up bar in the them, right? That's my kind of plane.

His reputation just took a major hit.

Rather than rob the store, I would have tried to disable the car temporarily (flat tire or something), but that's not the 24 way. I like this season so far. They got rid of Kim, that is good- her stupidity will not be missed, but she was good to look at so I was a little sad to see her go. I like the evil mom, they have a good group of villans. William Devan is a good addition to the cast as well. Great strategy to get everyone hooked by showing 4 episodes right away. I give it an 8 out of 10 so far.

Daily Show
Arrested Development
Honorables- Family Guy, Chapelle Show (this would be top 5, but they need more new shows).

Nope. We don't get that or Columbus day either. Columbus day seems to be more of an eastern thing. People in the Bay Area celebrate Indiginous Peoples Day instead. They all lament that the land was stolen from the Native Americans. I say, if you are so upset, drive out to the indian reservations and hand the deed to your big house in Marin county over to a native american family and then head back to wherever it is you ancestors came from and then shut up.

I'm a big 24 and Lost fan too. Can't wait for 24 tonight. I'm west coast, so it hasn't come on yet.

Saw Oceans 12 and didn't like it. I liked the first one. This one was messy and not interesting. I haven't seen Fockers, but those that I know have, liked it.
I saw Sideways today and it was really good. I'd recommend that.

Thanks for the advice guys.

If it's more expensive, its not worth it.
It's just a black version.
However, the back is still silver (chrome almost).
As anyone with an iPod will tell you, it scratches INCREDIBLY easy.
If your getting it for a collectors item, you basically won't be able to use it. (I swear, no matter how careful, it will get scratched within 5 minutes).
But, if you're a HUGE U2 fan, and its the same price, why not?
But I really see no reason to pay more money.
I'd probably get the case to go along with it in order to prevent scratching. Agreed on the pricing. If it's more, I'll get the regular one and use the savings to downlaod all their songs.

Anyone have it? What are your thoughts on this one. What do you like about it and what could be better? What is nice about the other iPods (assuming you own a different one rather than this one).
I'm a huge U2 fan, so I'd view this as a collectors item too. thansk for your responses.

Very accurate assessment here. The truth can really hurt.

From what I understand, it was not a case of poor attendance and fan support, that lost the Hornets. It was an owner that wanted a new publicly financed arena, when the city had built one not too long before. He thought it was already outdated. The city basically said good riddance. New Orleans had a new arena in place, so that is where he went. New Orleans is not a step up from Charlotte economically. If I were player, I'd rather be in New Orleans, though. That city is great. Charlotte is a nice city, it's just a little bland there.

You said it all man, you said it all. May God, Bhudda, Allah or whoever controls how the football bounces bless this team. A tough plea considering how f'd up everything around the world is right now.

Apology acceppted. I think were all a little nervous here. You are right- teams are out to beat whoever comes there way noa matter what the situation is. I'd expect nothing but a serious effort out of Indy. I hope Manning gets at least a half. I'll take a full quarter even.

It was raining when I got back here Tuesday night and rained straight through until last night when it started to pour. People drive poorly in the rian here. worse than back east in the snow. There are big snows forecasted for the Sierra and all my friends going up for New Years will be faced with major travel problems. I know they are requiring chains in the major passes to Tahoe/Reno. The skiing will be great though. We have a nice let up on the rain right now, so Im going to try to take a run.

This looks like a pretty ambitious plan. There are some big dollar figures attached. It would be nice to see it succeed, but I'm not sure if it is viable financially. Where will the money come from? I'd be concerned about large scale residential high-rise development along the waterfront too. I'd like to see more of a park.
