  1. 10-7 isn’t going to be good enough, not with the playoff simulator i was messing around with. We can only afford to lose 1 game. Pats, Chargers, Cowboys, and Miami are all must wins. It’s between Philly or KC we have to beat. If we lose to Philly, we will have to win out.
  2. Finally, a Brilliant poster. This is 100% correct and the right take. It’s obvious to me how much better Brady is vs Dorsey.
  3. Wow what a breath of fresh air. The game flow was light years better and the amount of action from Kincaid and Shakir was no coincidence. If this team manages to get into the playoffs this year, it’s going to be fun.
  4. To most of us fans, it’s pretty clear what the issue is. Allen needs to get his head on straight and figure it out. He has the physical tools to be one of the greatest QBs to play the game. The NFL changes and moves to play players differently. Most teams now play 2 high shell all the time. Allen has been struggling this year as teams play him differently. He needs to seek help figuring it out.
  5. I just don’t understand why he basically can’t just go live with the Mannings or Brady over the offseason and just absorb all the info he can. Brady was the least athletic QB ever, but he always moved the chains, even with subpar WRs. Same with Peyton. Allen has the physical tools, but doesn’t have the mental tools. I feel like the mental aspect is more fixable than the physical aspect.
  6. I think Allen would be doing himself a huge favor if he started consulting some hof QBs and coaches after this season and maybe even going to see a sports psychologist. Sit down and learn all the nuances to the point it becomes instinctive. He’s overthinking way too much, to the point where he has to make himself throw up and making bad decisions on the field. It’s always amazing watching old Brady and Manning clips in how effortless they made it on the field, and it’s because they were mentally obsessed with the game of football. Allen is way more athletic and talented then both of those guys. There is zero reason why Allen can’t be the greatest ever, he just has to clear his head and learn the nuances of the game.
  7. I understand what McD is doing, and don’t get me wrong, I’m not the greatest McD supporter in fact I hope we move away from him. It’s clear that Allen is mentally not there and he’s attempting to reign him in. It’s a last ditch effort and if it doesn’t work, he’s likely looking for another job anyways. I’m actually quite disappointed, Allen is a gifted QB and to see such mental hang ups is concerning.
  8. It is. But it all makes sense now. Allen always had time for kid practical jokes and purely relying on gifted talents. Allen is an elite QB, but it’s all between the ears with him.
  9. It’s up to Allen to figure it out and find his center. The sooner he realizes it’s time to be an adult and get to work, the better for us fans. Allen clearly has the talents to be great, but to take it to the next level requires more than just talent. It takes obsession to win.
  10. I’m not sure anything will help. Like Josh commented on how he took it personal that Dorsey was fired and that it hurt. There is something mentally off with Allen. He seems like a kid and doesn’t act like an adult.
  11. Not really that weird. The honeymoon phase is over. McD tried giving Allen a longer leash and it wasn’t working out. So now McD is trying to light a fire under him to take things more seriously.
  12. Agreed. Diggs seems like the only person taking things seriously sometimes. Allen has had way too long of a leash and he hasn’t been respecting the offseason like some of the greats have. Firing Josh’s pick of the OC was a clear message. I think McD has been playing buddy buddy with Allen for to long, he gave him a long leash, allowed Allen to pick the OC. McD now sees that isn’t going to be a winning solution, so now he’s acting all hard nosed. I think that is why Allen has lost the passion for the game, because he’s away from the honeymoon period now and knows the leash has tightened. Frankly Allen needs to grow up and take things more seriously and get better.
  13. Honestly Allen just needs to grow up. He was having so much fun years ago because there was no expectations from him and he could rely on his elite talents to be competitive. Now that there are expectations to win superbowls he tends to pout when he isn’t able to overcome the added pressure. Only way to fix that is by reigning in Allen and getting a hard nosed approach. Firing the OC was to send a message to Allen.
  14. Allen for sure has had a lot of pull around the facility and quite frankly he hasn’t earned that kind of adulation yet. He hasn’t won a Super Bowl. We need people in place that will light a fire under Allen and get him performing like a killing machine. Congratulations Allen, you got your buddy OC fired. That might be part of the reigning in process.
  15. Because there isn’t. Born and raised in WNY and it’s just a boring place. If you like the outdoors it’s fun (boating, atv, snow activities, etc), but players in season aren’t doing that because they can’t.
  16. So many people crap on Jim, but look what he did with Kaepernick. Allen is infinitely better than he ever was. Why? All he has ever done was overperform. I mean he made Kaep serviceable.
  17. Sorry ms Dorsey we are moving on. Don’t worry, McD is on the hot seat and maybe joining your husband.
  18. If we can’t get Ben Johnson, would you be ok with Jim Harbaugh? He managed to win with Kaepernick. I feel like he would be just fine with Allen.
