  1. Two things:

1 - If Mario leaves without signing, it's over. Buffalo isn't going to let him use our offer for leverage and he clearly thinks there is something better for him out there than top money. And yes, this would be the largest smack in the face to this organization in a long time.

    2 - DDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!

  2. Not worth that much. Rivers is a good enough QB to make him 200 yards and 2-3 TD's a year better than he is. That's too much for him and happy we didn't even find out.

Plus, if Meachem really is a 1st rounder with 4.4 speed at 6'2", then we are getting a steal for him. Well, depending on how much

  3. I have to give props to the Bills FO. If they offer Super Mario the most money as a D player and he walks, then I don't put that on the FO. I am honestly happy with the effort. It's much more than I thought about Clabo last year. And with Meachem, I'm not huge with knowledge on the guy, but the treatment they are giving him....impressed. And the fact that they got these guys to come here first, especially considering the market for them and how under the radar it was. Wow

Seriously, they sign these guys, who are both first rounders that we would be getting in their prime, and I'm a happy camper. In fact, it takes all the pressure off the draft for me. They get quality guys, we are set. We don't need an instant impact DE anymore. We don't need a WR, as Meachem is an absolute burner with good size. We can go OT, trade back, whatever, and I'll be happy.

Overall, it feels good today to be a Bills fan.

  4. Does that change the Bills opinion of trading up? I'm not really a RG3 guy, but I know a lot you are. If those two get their QB's pre-draft, then I have to think that the Rams leverage goes way down. As far as I could tell, the Dolphins would really be the only team left with interest. We only pick two spots behind them.

Personally, I think the Skins and Phins will win those two guys and the Browns will get RG3. But if the original scenario works out, does that change anyone's opinion to trade up?

  5. I don't claim to know the true different between the Salary Cap and the Cash to Cap. I know you can manipulate the cap to spend more, but don't know how much more. However, I know the Bills have a ton of money they could work to make splashes.

With that, and this will never, NEVER, happen, but...

Do they have the money to throw 20mil at Peyton, 9 at VJax, and 18 at Mario Williams?

I know this is ridiculous, but if imagine if they did. Would we not become an immediate contender? Yes, we'd have to make the Dwan Edwards, Fitz cuts. But I think it's fiscally possible. And the fact that it could be financially made possible, doesn't it rub you the wrong way a little bit that we know our FO wouldn't even consider it?

I laugh at teams like the Skins, Cowboys, Eagles, Jets, and Raiders who make big splashes every year, only to have it blow up in their faces. But how often to you see a FA class like this? If Peyton checks out as healthy, and I get the impression he is, what would you have to lose? Not making a deep playoff run with Peyton, Freddie, SJ, and VJax would be an absolute failure. Then, with Mario next to Kyle and Dareus? WOW!

While it seems financially irresponsible and unlikely, I'm almost mad that I feel that way as if the FO has beaten that mentality out of me.

    Just thinking, nothing more

  6. I have a 4S and just jailbroke it because I have the .Ipa of a an app that I want to install. It's an app that no longer exists in the appstore, or I would have just bought it. I finally decided to jailbreak the thing, as I was told this would be the only way, and I still can't figure it out.

Is there anyone out there who has done this before. I have Cydia, which also is completely confusing to me.

    Any help is greatly supported.

  7. I'm seeing all of these posts about "What would you trade up for him" or "Give this Draft Away for RG3". I know he won the heisman and won their bowl game, but other than that, when did he become the second coming? Is this because Cam Newton actually worked out? (At least for this season that is).

I have no bad feelings towards the kid. I actually have no feelings about him at all. I'm just curious to know what people are seeing in him to merit these kinds of conversations. Is he that accurate and smart to be able to read NFL defenses and hit receivers in stride? Is he that durable for when he scrambles, and yes he will, that he can take a hit and survive?

In the past, more QB's don't make than do and that discrepency gets bigger when you talk about scrambling college QB's. My concern is that, in a Vick/Newton world, people forget about all the busts and now are looking for that unique talent every year.

And to be clear, I'd give the draft away and probably next years too for Luck. The dude can do everything and while prospects are always a bet, he looks to be the safest bet.

  8. Exactly. I hate it when people lump players into these broad categories.

Positive or negative, Flynn's success will have nothing to do with him once being a backup.

If it did, then Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Steve Young would also have to be a part of the argument

  9. Flynn did great today against a good Lions D. He almost beat the Pats last season. The dude is prototype across the board. Is he a sure bet? No. But is he easier to get than a rookie and would I take him over an prospect except Luck? Yes. The guy isn't going to get a huge offer and I'd be okay throwing a 3 year, 5 mil per at him.

Yes, the Packers are world champions and he has a lot around him. However, watch him play. He has the arm, the accuracy, pretty much everything you'd want in the limited glimpses we've seen of him against top competition.

Fitz can't be given a free pass again next year and Flynn is a healthy gamble

  10. I've been thinking the same thing. Unlike other's who have replied, I think the injury thing is crap. Our O is the most hurt, and they still aren't giving up sacks and are still opening holes for the running game. It's not the injuries preventing us from scoring, it's our coaching, Fitz, and WR's.

However, I think Chan gets another year because they don't have any other options. No one wanted the job last time. Cowher, Fisher, Gruden...no big name coach would touch this job. Nix knows what it's like trying to get players and coaches to come here.

I think he'll use the injury excuse, but that's only from lack of options

  11. Get over it folks. This was a clear rebuilding year. There is no way in hell that Gailey is fired unless there is some type of player mutiny or something. I expect this team to win 10 games next year. Anything less and Gailey is on the hot seat and/or fired.

What exactly do you see us building on?

  12. Depending on the Seahawks-StLouis game Monday night, the Bills will be #11 or #12 in the draft this year.

Yeah, for this week. But there is a huge logjam at the 4-9 record. And we play 1 of those teams and most of them play each other. Outside of the Browns, the majority of those teams have a winnable game on their schedule or are at least playing decent right now.

What sucks is, the Browns will pry pick ahead of us, and between them and the Colts, the worthy top 5 QB's will be gone. However, if the Colts decide to keep Manning and trade out, I think we can be close enough to them to make a deal that won't kill us.

And yes, I would make that deal

  13. I want Buddy to tell me why I should buy tickets to any more home games this season. Give me ANYTHING to be optimistic about.

And please, do not talk to me about injuries. I don't care about them. Our D sucked in the first 5 games when they were all healthy. Our O-Line isn't giving up any more sacks with the injuries. We already started losing badly when Freddy got hurt, and we still have CJ in there who was Chan's guy in the first place.

There is nothing, and I mean nothing, to look forward too with this team unless we change owners or get Barkley or Luck in the draft. And at this rate, we could pick 4th and that could happen.

  14. Say what you want about fans wanting their teams to lose, but I do. There is some legit talent in this years draft, including some great QB prospects. If we lose out, we have a good shot at picking 4th overall. (Man, that's painful to say with 3 games left after starting 5-2). But yeah, this season is done. We aren't building on anything and there isn't anyone that we are trying to get experience. This team is a trainwreck. O-Line aside, our offense is actually fairly healthy and we can't score more than 3 points. Yes, Freddie is out, but Spiller was Chan's guy in the first place.

At this point, I pray we end up 4th in the order, behind the Colts, Vikings, and Rams. 2 of those 3 have their QB's of the future. We could have a chance to trade up to the Colts or have our pick of some great talent.

Flame away, but winning is only going to continue to hurt the franchise right now. Besides the fact that Ralph owns the team, Nix can't draft, Gailey can't evaluate talent, and we just signed Fitz to a DJ deal....
