  1. I'm actually glad we play them in Week 1.  If it were up to me, we would start with Baltimore, KC, and the Bengals.  The first few weeks are such an anomaly of performance and I'd rather just get them out of the way.

Plus, besides playoff seeding, we've come to realize very clearly that regular season outcomes have no influence over post-season outcomes.  Play them, get it over with, show nothing on tape.

    Destroy them in the playoffs.

I’m not saying I follow this closely, but when teams have been affected by intolerable player behavior and players were cut, teams have sued to get a portion of their guaranteed money back. Without knowing more than what’s in this thread, maybe they’re just trying to codify this upfront. If that’s the case then I am all for it.

I don’t know what the meaning of default is in this scenario. If I knew that, it would clear things up.

What if the person is charged, but not found guilty?  That's been my issue with some of these suspensions and cuts, players getting accused and found innocent or unsubstantiated, but they still lose their NFL jobs.  Matt Araiza comes to mind.  He lost good money for being falsely accused.

I wouldn't sign it unless it said convicted, but 🤷‍♂️

No one is Barkley, and he isnt asking for Barkley money. Folks need to stop bringing his name up.

The better comparison, and in range with his ask, is Henry and Jonathan Taylor. Both are in that $14-15M range. Henry is old and Taylor is often injured. Cook is absolutely in their range. Bills fans are just devaluing their own, and not remembering his play last year.

The only reason I mentioned Barkley and Henry is because of James and his brother commenting on X about their contracts, inferring they want a new deal and like those numbers.  Based on their posts, I think it's reasonable to reference them.

It does not matter, unless you are the one paying him.

I knew I'd get this response from someone, yet didn't think I needed to point out the obvious that I'm not personally paying them 🤦‍♂️.

It matters to the team, because there's only so much money to go around.  You can't pay everyone top dollar and expect to keep everyone together.  Beane has done a great job of getting player's buy-in and gotten people paid.  If Cook is about getting top dollar, and that's his right to, then his demands will probably not fit within the team plan.  Hence, the money matters.

Go back and watch some games, then tell me how easily Cook is to replace. He isn't. He's an elite player. Figure it out and pay him.

I have no issue paying Cook, but the price tag matters.  If I were the Bills, I would allow Cook to seek a trade and negotiate with other teams so he can see what his real value is.  Comparing himself to Henry and Barkley is insane, and I don't think any team would give him that type of contract.  I'm okay with up to 12 mil per, if it's front loaded, for cap flexibility while we have it.

Seriously?!? I’m 44 (today actually) and have been to a few dozen weddings I’d say. That was the 1st that I’ve ever been to without one (at least that I remember). Keep in mind, I grew up in a big Italian family that loves the vino.

Wow.  Way to make it all about you 😋

Grant you I'm only going on what I've read in a Facebook group devoted to the PSL sale process. There are people who claim to have give theirs and are not current holders.

From everything I've read in the facebook groups for the new stadium, on STH have been given the option to purchase regular seats.  For the suites, I think those have been offered to the public, because all the STH were offered first and made their decision.

If this really is the opening game, this is stupid.  I'm good with the Eagles, but why against the Cowboys?  They were terrible last year.  I get the injuries, but what have they proven when healthy?  At a min, why not against the Commanders?

  8. To start, I am not banging the table saying either are great quarterbacks, but they are clearly capable of starting in the NFL.  They may not be great, by any means, but they are way better than who the Saints and Steelers plan on putting on the field.

Granted, the Giants just signed Winston, but then signed Russel (named the starter) and drafted Dart.   The Saints took a guy in the second round, but he is far from a sure bet of being NFL ready, let alone week 1 ready.

Am I missing something here.  How are the Saints and Steelers not all over these trades?  I can’t imagine the asking price is big.  If in a fan of either team,  dreading this upcoming season as is.  If in a HC of either team, am I not also fighting for me job?  Granted Tomlin appears to be untouchable at times, but for how long?

    Just thoughts.
