Yantha You are on purpose starting threads that have been either talked about all year long/beating the bush on a topic/or just flat out troll threads.  with 160+ replies/posts, I have come to one conclusion... your a troll.

Move along.  Nobody is forcing you to read my posts.  Better yet, set me to ignore.  Thanks.

That goes for the rest of you who seem to have an issue with my posts.  Best for everyone.

The wheels are already in motion, bud. All you can do is buckle up and hang on 😎

"I hate talking about Tremaine Edmunds!!!  .......  so I'm going to continue talking about Tremaine Edmunds!!!!!"  Bahhhhhh!  lol....

I need a psychology degree to stick with this discussion board.  Seriously.  haha

EDIT:  Case in point, Rochesterfan's 12 year old "barf" emoji below.  To you sir, I say "barf" back at ya!  :)

Stop posting and move along.  Hoping to talk about linebackers here as we get closer to the draft.

  3. Guys....  with respect.....  considering some of the snide responses here, I'm guessing that if I bumped an old thread, I'd get equally lambasted for doing so.  If you don't want to discuss T.E., then please just stop posting your responses.  Nothing is forcing you to.

Move along to a discussion you are interested in.  Just a suggestion.

The struggles vs the run stemmed from the defensive line more so than the linebackers. I did some breakdowns during the season which highlighted a lot of this. The change of guard on the defensive line this offseason did not happen by accident.

Good points.  Do you feel we are "done" on DL for this draft, and to what extent will our run defense improve if we don't make a change(s) with linebackers?

  5. Look...  The Bills ranked 20th in run defense, their worst team stat....

The fact that we have not seemed to be even putting much stock into drafting a linebacker early (I know.... cornerback.....) to me was something I was curious about.  There have been some suggestions to draft linebacker, but considering that run defense was arguably one of the bigger weaknesses last season (not just my opinion, just going by team stats), should we not be putting more of an emphasis on stopping the run?

Von Miller will help, and we added some DL FA's.

Yes, there have been lots of Tremaine discussions... but at the CORE of my post was a draft question.

If this title is a troll, you are amazing literally LOL at thread title.

While were at it, has anyone talked about Breece Hall?

I've been here for 3 weeks maybe and didn't see a dedicated thread.  I'm hearing that there are lots of other threads but they are buried in the later pages.  Sorry I don't go mining back into the past, bringing back STALE threads.

I love talking about the draft, but honestly some of you make this annual visit rather painful.  We are all Bills fans so why is there always a core group of bad apples that just like to throw insults and cause conflict.

geez....  People...  Try being positive and happy. for a change.

To be fair, we haven't talked about Edmunds the entire offseason

Yeah I've been wondering why we haven't.  Time for a respectful chat!

Personally, I say "he's a Bill", so we have to hope he steps it up and plays to his potential.  But I think that Beane knows best of course, and Edmunds has a value according to the team.  Will he be traded?  Given an ultimatum?  Surely he wants a big paycheque, so he has to EARN that.

  8. Linebacker is a need.  But just how BIG of a need remains to be seen and I am guessing that most would agree that Tremaine is at the center of that discussion.  So?  A few questions from me to you.

    What happened to Tremaine?

Why hasn't he really held up to his first round grade?

Can he rebound?  What are the chances?  Will money motivate him as he finishes up his current contract?

Any insights on what Beane and the Bills brass think about Tremaine and his future in Buffalo?

Could Tremaine be used as trade bait on draft day?  Or before?

This draft is fairly deep in LB talent, even on day 3.  Should we move on or put our faith in Tremaine?

Generally speaking, I don't disagree.  However, the Bills are in a great position to make a super bowl run. Thus, they are in a win it all mode. All those picks in the lower rounds aren't likely to contribute to the win it all theme. Maybe, I'm wrong thinking that? I'd much rather have them trade up in rounds 1 to 3.  Personally, I'd love to see Sauce or Stingly in a Bills uniform. Unfortunately, I think the price is just too much.

    That's fair.

    No, you're not wrong.  :)

The chances a player will be successful in the NFL go up, the closer you get to day 1.  I'm sure there have been some analyses of this.  Personally I'm thinking that the Bills might try to trade up in round TWO, and/or THREE this year, but not ONE, unless a player they have graded as a top 15 slips to 20 or so, and is a "must have, at the expense of giving up a valuable 3rd rounder for example.

I'm definitely no troll (and yes I can see that label was unleashed while quoting someone else, but you did pluralize it). I AM someone who tries to question hyperbole and fallacy. Jordan Poyer is NOT currently holding out. And while it's not unreasonable to argue that a holdout could be on the horizon, that isn't what you did in your post that kicked off this particular sidebar.

You are allowed to make fallacious arguments, and I am allowed to call them out. Don't get defensive. I've probably/definitely put forth some poorly supported claims myself.

See that response I can respect and get behind more than the "i'm sorry what?" which was rather sarcastic.

It's been a long long day...   The troll comment was more meant for the "you DO know what voluntary means".

    Apologies.

I'd rather have fewer picks with higher quality guys. The Bills don't need to draft 10 players who can't contribute much. We are only a piece or 2 away (if that) from hoisting that Lombardi.

I agree Newcam, buuuuuut there is another side of that coin.  While it's nice to have more early round picks for hopeufully quality players, there is value to having as many picks as possible too!  It's extremely difficult to "hit" on a draft pick and find a handful of players who will last longer than a rookie contract in the NFL.

Cast a wide net with more picks, and use that practice squad to develop players (just another point to add here).  Hopefully the scouts get it right more often than not.

You do know what “voluntary,” means, right?

There are other issues here.  C'mon let's not be naive to the situation.

And I'm not starting another back and forth with trolls.

    Have a nice evening.

    I'm sorry...what?

Poyer is not participating in voluntary workouts, has changed agents, and wants a new contract.  Beane stated he's focused on the draft and quote "can't pay everyone".

There are some indications that this issue could persist until the start of the season, but of course, everyone's hoping it works out well for the team and for Poyer.

I consider that a "holdout", but let's not split hairs on descriptions about what's going on here.  mmkay?

  14. Adding my weekly mock:

With Poyer continuing to hold out, I went heavy on secondary in the first three rounds.

Added a linebacker, Interior OL, a short yardage/goal line back, a DL sleeper pick (check this dude out!), as well as the "do everything" FB/TE/KR that I'm hoping for in Heyward.

This is the " I reached draft " using picks to add players who i think can make us better this year and beyond.

    25. Christian Watson WR,

we just don't have anyone on the roster with his length and speed. He adds another dimension to the O. Beane want to add speed and he has it.

    57. Coby Bryant CB, he's got the athletic abilities to do really well on our D. We just need one of those basketball hoops for the sidelines.

    89. Kyle Philips WR, great routes, quick more than fast with a little more size than or last slot.

    130. Jerome Ford RB, 4.46 speed with size.

    168. Zyon McCollum CB, he's got what you want, needs coaching and playing time.

    185. Cade Mays IOL, backup for both guards and RT. LT in a pinch.

    203. Alec Lindstrom IOL, developmental C.

    231. Zander Horvath RB, he can be used all over the place. Plus I just think he's a badass.

Love Kyle Phillips, arguably one of the best route runners and slot SR in this draft.  Would love Ford in the 4th!

  15. Sorry to bump this one up but I am wondering what the opinions are on the chances Poyer will be asking more money than the Bills are willing to sign him for, and if SAFETY, along with CORNERBACK are both going to be big questions going into the draft.

I just have this gut feeling that Poyer will be holding out to start this season, and that could add even more of an issue for let's say the first month of the season.

Some have talked about drafting a S/CB hybrid type player.

I'm starting to wonder if we might be seriously considering players like Cine or Brisker (true safeties) in the first if the top Corners are gone.....

Might we be looking at both a corner AND a safety in the top 3 rounds??  Starting to think so.

I don't know why Daboll and Schoen are keen to move off him, maybe it is all character issues, I don't pretend to have the answer on that. I do, however, know that my biggest knock on him coming out was route running. He has some Stevie Johnson in him. He runs every route his own way, he is sloppy coming out of breaks and he doesn't get to his landmarks consistently. There is no doubt he is dynamic with the ball in his hands, but if you think about the Daboll offense it is about sharp, precise route running that requires the receivers to read the defense and adjust their routes and puts a lot on their plate in that regard. Someone who does his own thing like Toney doesn't scream immediate fit. Whether it works for the Bills depends on how much Dorsey is sticking with what they had, and how much he is willing to adjust. Whether it is worth it price wise depends on how much the Giants are after and what the truth is character wise.

Good points.  I guess the hope when they drafted him was to coach him to being less sloppy but his character just wouldn't allow it.

Being an NFL football player is a privilege and I can't stand "attitude players".

Send him to McDonalds for minimum wage.

  17. Top corners and actual first-round-graded players drafted already when we picked at 25.

Traded down and got two extra second rounders this year and gave up a 6th rounder this year and 4th next.

CB Hill was the first pick, and I nabbed Brisker as INSURANCE/LEVERAGE with the Poyer situation.

LB Chenal was a good value at 57

Didn't plan on taking two WR's back to back but that's what the board produced.  Metchie can stretch the field, while Phillips adds slot competition

    Went OG in the 5th

    NT in the 6th

Closed it out with a TE/FB/KR hybrid player (and personal late pick "hope")
