  1. I don't have many OG's in this second round bracket, so I think that "interior OL" might be better addressed in round 3.

    Great WR options here!

I also like TE Greg Dulcich here!

Linebackers look very strong as options in round 2.

Would be happy to see Hall or KWIII in the second round as well, one way or another.

  2. THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT.......

I conducted 46 first round mocks on the pff mock draft platform to see on average who the BPA would be when we pick at #25.  BPA as defined by the PFF big board (take that with a grain of salt).

Here is what I found in order of how many times said player was listed as the BPA at 25.  What is interesting is that you get a sense of probabilities of higher graded prospects dropping to 25.  Note also that it is not reflected in the data below, whether lower graded prospects were still on the board (for example, in MOST mocks, Andrew Booth was on the board).  Just posting the BPAs probabilities here:

THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT.......

OC Linderbaum:  BPA 22% of the time:  (10 times out of 46)

LB Dean:  BPA 20% of the time

DT Wyatt:  BPA 17% of the time

WR Moore:  BPA 13% of the time (hope this isn't our reality....)

WR London:  BPA 9% of the time

LB Lloyd:  BPA 7% of the time

WR Olave:  BPA 4% of the time

DT Davis, WR Williams, WR Wilson, CB Booth (TIE):  BPA 2% of the time

Of course....  the real draft could fall very differently but still.  Interesting to see this I think.

  3. I feel that Tremaine could be offloaded for a draft pick if we pick a linebacker in round 1 or 2.  I think a third round pick this year and a conditional pick next year could happen with the following teams:

    -  Denver Broncos

    -  Washington Commanders

Both are in need of a linebacker and may feel there could still be some potential there.

It may depend on how the draft falls for all 3 parties.

    Extra note:

New England and Miami also need ILB and linebacker in general, but I'm not sure how eager Beane would be to deal "within" our key competitors.....

The problem is, every QB in the draft has at least one significant flaw.  There are at least 4 teams that need QBs badly, probably more, but teams may not see a particular advantage to drafting a QB in round one versus waiting a bit.  It ultimately depends on how many GMs are going to be seduced by need versus being faithful to pest player available.

I agree, but the way it usually goes..... is that QB needy teams go into a bit of a panic as soon as the first QB flies off the board.  Personally, I think that one of the only ways to trade down for the Bills in this draft is if THREE quarterbacks are gone before we pick.  A "panicky" team may feel the need to recklessly trade up for a second-round-graded QB....  before the next QB-needy team nabs him.....

May be the leverage we need to get multiple day two (or three) picks.  Personally, I feel that if all the best corners are gone, I hope we trade down for Hall, get extra picks to go after the next bracket of DB's....

  5. Seems to me that there are quite a few teams in the market for a QB this year.  That could really shake up the top 25 picks.  I have FOUR going before we pick.

Fingers crossed!  That "virtually" gets us to pick 21 if you exclude QB picks......

  6. And there are other lesser talked about options like ZaQuandre White that are interesting.  Interesting running style and very quick.

With Hall, he's all over the place, and arguably one of the biggest hyped players in the draft right now.  There's no telling how high he could go.

Allen can't sling the ball if teams are able to slow us down by keeping both of their Safeties deep.

If Allen has a guy that he can dump if off to that can turn a 5-8 yard gain into 20+... that will force them to bring their Safeties up, allowing Allen to sling it.

I may be totally wrong, but Breece Hall - if we draft him - isn't a guy they plan on handing the ball off to 15x per game.  He's a guy they want out there to punish teams when Allen is forced to stay disciplined and check it down by the opposing defense.

Yeah I'd agree with that.  Definitely adds another layer to defend.

I'll add that an "elite-level" slot WR can also open up the deeper routes.  A dominant interior OL can also help... opening holes no matter which RB is back there.

  8. FINAL MOCK:  Locked in. :). No trades in this version.

Disappointed in how WR fell in this draft, but I took the BPA approach.

Top 3 rounds addressed the CB hole, potential Safety hole (if Poyer decides that he needs an extension before he plays), and gives competition to Tremaine Edmunds to either step up or step aside.

Wasn't planning on an OT but Deisch was a great value in the 4th round.

Added depth to interior OL, RB, DL, and also took a flier on Leo Chenal's teammate LB Sanborn.

    HOPEFUL UDFAs:

    CB Derion Kendrick - Georgia

    TE Jake Ferguson - Wisconsin

    S Brad Hawkins - Michigan

TE/RB/KR Connor Heyward - Mich State

WR Dontario Drummond - Ole Miss

WR Jalen Nailor - Mich State

    CB Vincent Gray - Michigan

OG Ben Brown - Ole Miss

    TE Cole Turner - Nevada

I'm not one to make a lot of big, bold predictions for the draft, and while I follow the various mock drafts, I almost never create a mock myself.  However, I do have some thoughts about how the Bills will handle this draft.  They are:  1. The Bills are not likely to move up far in this draft.  It simply costs too much unless they are able to package #25 with player on their roster, and those kinds of trades are very rare.  2.  Beane looks for player traits over need in the draft, but doesn't ignore need altogether.  The Bills have only one of what I would call an acute need - cornerback.  3.  There is likely to be a relative lack of high impact elite players left in the first round when the Bills pick.  Tyler Linderbaum may be around, but his position limits the level of his impact, and his size makes him a bit of a question mark for any team not running a pure zone blocking system.   Breece Hall certainly qualifies as a potential high impact player, but there is that axiom about not picking a running back in round one.  I don't rule out Hall as the Bills' pick, but it's not the only possibility.  On defense, besides cornerbacks, there are a handful of players that might be considered a reasonable value at that point.  The only elite talent who might fall could be Devonte Wyatt. Whether Buffalo would consider Wyatt would depend on whatever due diligence they do with respect his alleged off field activities. Some other names who may be available are Dean, Karlaftis, Hill and Ojabo.  There are reasons to pass on any of them.  On offense, outside of Breece Hall, maybe Dotson will be available, Zion Johnson and/or Kenyon Green, Trey McBride (if the Bills think he's a first round value) and various QBs.   I don't think anybody believes Buffalo is going to pick a QB.  Among CBs, the first two on most pundit's boards will be gone.  The next group varies on its members depending on who is doing the evaluating.  Trent McDuffie has the production and experience, but faces questions about size and arm length.  Some like Booth.  Some like Gordon. some like Elam.

Putting all that together, and stopping short of a prediction.  Here are the possible outcomes for the Bills from most likely to least likely:

    1.  Buffalo stays at #25 and drafts a cornerback.  take your pick (other than Sauce Garner and Derek Stingley who aren't reasonable)

    2.  Buffalo stays at #25 and drafts Breece Hall.

    3.  Trade down either to the bottom of the first or the top 3rd of the second round.  Buffalo could target a RB or CB after the trade down too.

    4.  Buffalo stays at #25 and drafts an interior offensive lineman.

    5.  Buffalo trades up.  I couldn't guess the actual trade, but I think #15 -#20 might be a reasonable target range.

    6.  Devonte Wyatt drops and Buffalo decides his off field issue is not a deal breaker.

I know we've torn apart the upcoming draft about every possible way, but I haven't seen it approached the exact way.  So what are your assumptions and what doo you think are the possible outcomes of round one for Buffalo.

    1.  I think the odds of this happening are pretty solid.

    2.  Love Breece Hall but I think this would be unlikely.

    3.  Starting to think that a trade DOWN might be difficult UNLESS a team wants a quarterback at 25.  Every GM has to know that the draft board is relatively flat with respect to "equal" talent in the 20-40 pick range.

    4.  I think that if Linderbaum (one of the 15 or so true first round-graded prospects) slips to 25, he could be the pick (Yes, I know 95% here disagree).  Otherwise, I don't think an OG would be picked here.

    5.  I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the war room to find out if Beane thinks a particular player is worth trading into the 15-20 range for.  This will be interesting.

    6.  Wyatt could slip, yes.  We will see.

  10. S Lewis Cine will be the first pick of Round 2

    Quarterbacks:

4 Quarterbacks taken in the top 10 picks

Huge reaches for QBs in the first round (more than usual....)

    Slips:

LB Nakobe Dean has a MAJOR slip down the board

Kair Elam slips to round 2.
LB Troy Anderson and RB KWIII slip to the top of round 3.

    Bills:

Bills pass on Andrew Booth for Devin Lloyd (heads explode)

Despite the fanfare, RB KWIII and Breece Hall both available for the Bills at Pick 57

Bills take a TE in round 3, still extend Knox.

😂😂😂😂 so Edmunds, multiple Pro Bowls is being hated on for not being an All Pro like Allen, Diggs and White.  Is going to be replaced and play will be better by any of these day 3 players?

    Who said that?

I just posted these players to add depth and compete.
