They think the defensive players freezing momentarily on the juke is the same as giving up on the play lol. People callin it a fake slide are justifying it based on what the defense did and not what Josh did.  Didn’t look like a sliding motion at all and he stopped so abruptly which would make literally no sense if he was planning on sliding…he could’ve jogged a few more yards and slid

There isn’t any lol. He hits the brakes and runs in a different direction because the safety was misplaying it that is not even remotely close to a fake slide

Yes lol that’s the point of a juke…the safety completely blew his angle and ran himself out of the play.  The defense didn’t just quit like the play was over at all they were TOO aggressive

He was bracing to truck the defender like he always does - and the defender never went for the hit - so Josh kept running.

There was a juke before that and the defender took a horrible angle because of it…he didn’t let up at all.  If this somehow was a fake slide (it wasn’t) it didn’t work at all

Lolll ultimate troll job I applaud you sir…no one on the Steelers thought he was sliding there he was clearly loading up to truck a defender after juking…then when he very clearly was sliding later in the game they hit him late 

 

I do think they could be a little more lenient on the sliding qb late hits but there was no universe where that was a fake slide
