  1. Makes sense for Pegula to say this right now as there is still time to save the season, by beating the Chiefs. Not sticking up for McD would send the message that the Bills are giving up. And, the team we’ve seen the last two weeks is a playoff team. (Unlike what we saw against the Jets, Jags, Giants, Pats and Broncos.) Doesn’t mean he feels the same in January when reviewing the whole season.
  2. So many reasons. To me it’s on Dorsey and McD more than anyone else. You can’t chalk up the amount of penalties and unlikely plays teams have against us to just bad luck anymore. And it was tough to read this: “Since the start of last season, Allen has by far the most turnovers in the NFL at 35, according to Statmuse. Nobody else has more than 28.“
  3. Mainly this board… but he doesn’t always seem to listen.
  4. We can win any game if we blow them out or Allen has the ball last. There is no team in the NFL we can’t beat. But to win close ones we need someone who can call defensive plays better, use timeouts better, motivate the guys better and get them to focus better, than McD.
  5. Agreed. I think the Bills were implying that you shouldn’t need telepathy, the assignment is to read the leverage and select the corner route based on inside leverage. Just that Josh didn’t read it that way. Should not be hard to fix in practice, and that’s on Brady.
  6. Interesting. I felt, reading between the lines, that Josh, Brady and Gabe were implying it was Josh who made the wrong throw (the post instead of corner route) based on the inside leverage Gabe faced. (I don’t know enough to say myself, of course.) According to @HoofHearted as well, Gabe ran the play correctly and it was indeed on Josh.

  8. I think there are too many option routes in our offense in general… too many plays go wrong because of a WR reading it differently than Allen
  9. I’m gonna miss this guy and his fire, when he doesn’t play for us anymore. Happy Birthday 14
  10. He also tends to be his sharpest when the team needs it—like connecting with Smith deep to spark comebacks the last two weeks.
  11. We have surprisingly few significant upsets, when I think about it. Basically Dallas in 2019. Beating KC at Arrowhead in 2021 and 2022.
  12. Generally teams with an MVP are 12-4 or better. The worst record I can find is Adrian Peterson’s in 2012 when the Vikings finished 10-6. He rushed for 2000 yards that season.
  13. NE game in December 2020 The one with Diggs 3 TDs
  14. Did we have two or even three timeouts in that situation?
  15. Tanking when you are .500 or above feels crazy…
  16. Meanwhile, KC is 29-10!
  17. But right now we still have a chance to right the ship, win out and make the dance. If we lose the next one our chances are way down, and if we lose two we're out. Anyway, I think it's possible but yes, agree there is a low chance of McD getting canned during the season. But it's not zero. Have to admit, I just saw this post on @Italian Bills thread: I'd like to know Andy Reid and Sean McVay's record in these.
  18. This makes sense. And, if we lose to KC but then win out, we still have a roughly 50% chance of making the playoffs under Brady. Also that gives you four games to see how Brady does bringing home close games. Kinda crazy to think McDermott might be done after our next game or two... I do think it is possible.
  19. I honestly feel like I am numb to terrible losses because of the last 4 years. Losses that would drive a Chiefs or a Giants fan to jump out the nearest window make us Bills fans yawn and say, "Yeah. Happens."
  20. Great examples, thanks.
  21. I am not sure if Nick Effing Wright has any inside scoops!
  22. This cracked me up bad!
