  1. Well, for the title of this thread...the MVP race between Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson is no longer even close at this point. Lamar Jackson stats through 13 games: 109.2 QBR, 2677 Pass Yds, 28 Pass TDs, 6 INTs, 1017 Rush Yds, 7 Rush TDs, 3694 Total yds, 35 Total TDs Russell Wilson stats through 13 games: 107.2 QBR, 3422 Pass Yds, 26 Pass TDs, 5 INTs, 312 Rush Yds, 3 Rush TDs, 3734 Total yds, 29 Total TDs Total yardage and QBR is about even, but Lamar is ahead by 6 total TDs, plus the fact that Lamar went into Russell's own house and beat him. People love to ignore stats. He is simply the front runner because he has the best overall stats so far this season.
  2. San Francisco GM was dumb to let personal feelings get in the way when he fired Jim Harbaugh and the entire coaching staff. Rex fired him in week 2 of a season after the offense scores 31 pts....? Those 2 cases were completely out of Greg Roman's control.
  3. Great, great game yesterday. Great defensive battle on both sides today. Your offense had the right idea against a blitz heavy defense, make them pay with some deep shots. They were there, but Josh just missed them, and I think that was ultimately the deciding factor in the end. The Patriots look just about done. Their offense isn't getting any better and their D is starting to show some cracks.
  4. Ingram is good, but as a Ravens fan, I gotta get a mention in with our other bulldozer running back, Gus, the Bus! edwards who is 238. The usual running load is Ingram at 15-20 carries, and Gus Edwards at 10-15 carries who is also averaging 5 yards a carry. We have started to mix in our rookie RB, Justice Hill, who is a straight speed back (I think he runs a 4.3).
  5. Hey, we both feel great about our teams. Here's to a great game come Sunday, and wouldn't it be cool if this is the start of a rivalry like Brady/Manning for the next decade or so?
  6. Faker Baker sucks. He has 2 great wide receivers in Odell Beckham and Landry and 2 great RBs in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, but ranks near the bottom in most QB stats.
  7. Hell, I'll take a ravens loss if that means New England ends up being a wildcard. You can have the 1 seed, lol.
  8. I keep hearing the same narrative that jackson is a one-read, then run QB...so seeing is believing. He leads the league in TD passes from empty set formations... https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/defenses-are-basically-powerless-to-stop-lamar-jackson-in-empty-formations/ar-BBXqWhK Both QBs have bright futures and BOTH can play from inside the pocket, so even if they lose their abilities to run, they will still have successful careers.
  9. Alright, looking at film on the Bills Defense, it definitely looks like they could be one of the most, if not the most disciplined defenses and that is what it will take to at least slow down the Ravens offense. You have to keep Lamar in front of you and wait for help so your team can gang tackle him; don't try to tackle him one-on-one in the open field. I like my Ravens in this one, but I think the Pats lose to KC and then to you guys.
  10. We'll certainly see come this Sunday. The Patriots have a VERY good secondary and couldn't slow down the Ravens. That game could have been way more lopsided if the Ravens didn't gift the Patriots a muffed punt when we had a 17-0 lead. Patriots score and then the Ravens proceeded to gift them with another short field right after that and they still won by 17. The Rams were also playing great D for a stretch of a few games and have Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey and got absolutely smoked.
  11. I'm going by how they have played since the Marcus Peters trade. That defense has gone through a lot of personnel changes since that Cleveland debacle. 2 new Middle Linebackers, 2 new Defensive Lineman, 1 new DE, a different starting safety, and Jimmy Smith coming back from injury.
  12. The Raven's D caught fire once we traded for Marcus Peters. At the same time, our other starting CB Jimmy Smith came back from injury. The scary thing is Marlon Humphrey is our #1 corner, Jimmy Smith #2, and Marcus Peters #3. We basically have 3 #1 corner's, plus Earl Thomas roaming back there. Also, a major surprise is our 6th round pick safety, Chuck Clark who has been a major upgrade over Tony Jefferson. Having that strong of a secondary is what allows the Ravens the freedom to blitz on over 50% of their defensive snaps. The one weakness the Ravens do have, like the article pointed out, is runs along the edge. Our defensive ends are good at setting the edge, but we struggle against teams that have a good fullback and good blocking tight end, like the 49ers have. Do the bills have a good blocking tight end or fullback?
  13. 45-10 Ravens. Lamar throws for 3 TDs, runs for 2 more and gets himself benched again in the 4th quarter for the 5th time this year. Ravens have the best secondary in football. To put things in perspective...Marcus Peters is our #3 corner. Marlon Humphrey is our #1 and Jimmy Smith is our #2. Josh Allen gets coverage sacked 6 or 7 times.
  14. Lamar is a true dual-threat and is simply not a 1 read qb. This will give you a clue as to how good Jackson really is. In a lot of Baldy's breakdowns, you can see Lamar throwing to his 3rd and 4th read for some of his touchdowns. He truly looks to throw first. If he immediately takes off and runs, more likely than not, it was a designed QB run. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=lamar+jackson+baldy+breakdown
  15. No, Lamar cannot be stopped. Just pray for rain.
