Even more annoying that shipping prices is that last year before the opener, my dad and I arrived in Buffalo on Saturday. Before heading to Dannys, I decided that I wanted to pick up a throwback jersey from the pro-shop. Its 6-6:30 on the Saturday before the home opener and the pro-shop was closed. Ended up driving to one of the local malls and bought one at Dicks.

I've been talking about for a couple of years, and I've finally got the plans in place to get my Bills "Bandwagon" van/bus in motion. Making the trip from Cincy to WNY can be a challenge, especially when I currently drive a 2 door hatchback on a daily basis, so cargo & passenger room is very limited. At first, I was going to remodel a short bus, but I have found that they are in somewhat of high demand, so the pricing is outrageous. I can get a full sized school bus for a reasonable price, but who has the space to park one of those damn things (not to mention, it would get vandalized living in Bungle Country). I found (and should be purchasing very soon) a Dodge Ram cargo van - currently all white with no interior besides the two seats for the driver and passenger. Plans include: - All red paintjob with vinyl graphics (think 90's style helmet - thick white & blue "racing stripe" with charging bison on each side) - Custom bench seat to accomodate an extra 4-6 passengers. - Custom audio/video setup - audio by Sirius and/or small form factor PC - Generator on board, for extra juice for lighting, heating, etc. - At least 1 large flagpole As the buildup begins, I'll probably update this thread...soon with pictures (once I acquire the van). Wish me luck, and look for it soon... GO BILLS!

I'm no longer in need of an easy exit spot...definitely secure me one, but doesn't matter where. Looks like we'll be staying on Sunday night instead of driving right back, so we'll probably stick around and have another burger or two and a couple more beers.

The Lions broadcaster was doing the Bills offensive lineup during the first series of the game and said: "Willis McGahee was a thousand (1,000) yard rusher last year in his rookie season..."

Former Bengals player sues Cincinnati NFL.com wire reports CINCINNATI (Sept. 1, 2006) -- Former Cincinnati defensive tackle Matthias Askew filed a $50 million lawsuit against the city, accusing police officers of excessive force when they used a stun gun to subdue him while making an arrest in July. The suit contends Askew was falsely arrested and maliciously prosecuted. It asks that the police department's policy on the use of force be declared unconstitutional. The lawyer who filed the suit Aug. 31 in U.S. District Court is seeking class-action status to include others who have been shocked with Tasers. The 24-year-old player was acquitted last week on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to comply with an officer's order and obstructing justice. Police arrested Askew on July 22 after a dispute broke out over his illegally parked car. The 6-foot-5, 302-pound lineman struggled with officers trying to handcuff him and broke away before being shocked, police said. Askew, a fourth-round draft choice in 2004 from Michigan State, has been hampered by injuries and was cut by the Bengals on Aug. 15.
