  1. Non paywall version, but doesn't show the videos:https://www.printfriendly.com/p/g/KZ8dqS If you punch the direct link from the Athletic into 12ft.io, you can see the whole thing.
  2. Sounds great in theory but is pretty much negated by the fact that almost everything you described would be considered roughing the passer. If we had somebody like Bosa, or if Von Miller does indeed return to form (I think he'll mostly get there) then we would've been able to do this far more than we did. Finding a guy who is even close to what Bosa or TJ Watt is would make this team digustingly good.
  3. If Beane doesn't totally screw up this draft and if we can maybe for once in our freaking lives not be absolutely wrecked by injuries to start the playoffs, I think we at least get to the AFCCG this coming season. If our defense had only been wrecked with injuries instead of being absolutely wrecked with injuries, we would've been there this year. After seeing how awful the Ravens played, it's a bit heartbreaking to wonder what could've been if we had had maybe one less starter out on defense. The expectation for next season should once again be to at least make the AFCCG, full stop.
  4. Very possible he misses the majority of next season.
  5. Just got a news alert about this lol: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/tempers-flare-prior-to-afc-title-game-chiefs-travis-kelce-patrick-mahomes-toss-justin-tuckers-helmet-tee/?ftag=SPM-16-10abi8d
  6. If he hadn't acted like he did after that game, I probably wouldn't be as annoyed with the thought of him winning another Super Bowl. His behavior during and after that game was inexcusable, and for him to win it all yet again after that will leave a really bad taste in my mouth. Off the top of my head I genuinely can't recall another QB, let alone an absolute top tier star of a QB, behaving like that ever. It was giving Ron Artest vibes.
  7. There are only two possible reasons for this. Historically bad luck with key defensive injuries, or coaching. The answer could honestly be both of them. Luck evens out over a long enough time frame, but so many other things also change during that time frame that it might not be enough to get over our current Division Round hump, let alone win a Super Bowl. First priority is obviously managing our cap situation. Then I think that if by the trade deadline we are in contention for the #1 seed, I think we have to go all out in trying to get it. Sell the farm and take the risk. It's unfortunately obvious at this point that Beane could have been significantly more aggressive this past year at the deadline and acquired at least another receiver, and while that wouldn't have resolved our defensive woes, it's entirely possible it would have been enough to overcome them. If we had grabbed DHop or maybe even Henry, I think it's fair to say that we probably wouldn't have been screaming about dudes dropping balls the entire second half of the season. It's so damn frustrating to feel like between ownership, coaching, and player management there is always some aspect of this organization holding back and not willing to go balls to the wall to do absolutely ***** everything possible to win a championship. I can only hope that the pain and disappointment of this year has turned those gears a little bit more for Beane and McDermott.
  8. What's left? Panthers, Commanders, Seahawks? At least Belichick would be out of the AFC. Almost wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't take a coaching gig at all.
  9. Dude shouldn't have even been allowed to finish the regular season. Atrocious.
  10. I honestly wonder if somehow Lamar lays a total egg this Sunday if he could maybe not get it.
  11. At this point in my life, things like this are the biggest reason why devastating playoff losses really bum me out and leave me in a rough headspace for a few days. So many fans who have been waiting decades just to get one championship who won't be around when it does finally happen. Very much hope the NFC wins it all this year, particularly the Lions. If not them, it's been thirty years since the 49ers won it, so even that would give some solace to a good chunk of the fanbase who wasn't around in the mid 90s.
  12. Nah, barring him getting injured again I think he’s gonna be a force. Sucks he didn’t recover sooner but I’m expecting a big year out of him.
  13. God these videos and this thread depressed me. Genuinely makes it seem like our offense is running at like 65% of what it could be.
  14. I agree. I'm not opposed to trading him, although most everyone says it's impossible due to his cap impact. Not sure if there's any way to work around that, but I do believe he's replaceable for the right price.
  15. It really did seem like he was injured, but we haven't heard anything about that being the case yet. Extremely concerning if he in fact was healthy.
  16. On the flip side, he definitely knows what it's like to have elite talent at the WR position. Gabe is going to be gone, so they're going to have to do something.
  17. That's really awful. It bums me out so bad that the new stadium won't be ready until 2026.
