I remember a game back in 92 or 93 (forget the year) where the Bills played the Jets at home and they were a 17 point favorite. Jets DE Dennis Byrd suffered a serious injury as he was almost paralyzed in a game the week before. Fortunately he was able to walk again. Anyway the Jets beat the Bills 24-17 so anything can happen.
A perfect outcome for this game is.
1. Bucs stomp the Pats
2. Bill is embarrassed
3. Brady gets sacked about 5 times and hit a dozen more so he gets beat up and bruised.
Carry on.
Looking at the schedule I see 4 tough games left and all on the road....KC, TEN, TB, NO. As for the other games the Bills should do very well. Definitely win most of them if not all.
For some reason the Jets usually give the Bills a tough time. Last year with Gase as the HC the Bills only won 27-17 and 18-10. The game at MetLife the Bills couldn't even get in the endzone. The Bills should sweep them again but I wouldn't be surprised if they are tough games.
I like both white on white throwback and regular. I like the white over blue and blue over white as well. The other uniform combos suck. Speaking of uniforms per the uniform gridiron database page the Texans already posted all white so the Bills will be in a dark colored jersey hoping its blue over white again. In the KC game the Bills already posted all whites (current) while the Chiefs posted the usual red over white look.
The only thing I don't like about the schedule is 3 of the 4 primetime games are on the road. I guess that is the league's way of sending the Pegula's a message about getting a new stadium.
Even though they won by 35 and 22 points the last two weeks I still wouldn't bet them to cover. I could see a situation where they are up big in the 4th and the Texans score a meaningless TD against the Bills backups to get under the spread.
Exactly. The Bills could probably beat the Texans with me as the QB. The real test will be at KC and TEN. A split in those games would be acceptable and have them at 4-2 assuming they take care of business this Sunday.
It will probably take a Super Bowl win for the fan culture to really change. Until the Bills win it all there will always be some doubt that something bad will happen even with the team good again.
