  1. Didn’t we see Allen literally do this last season? Vikings game, OT. Josh let them back in with the fumble and he opened up the drive with two (great runs) but had that total feel of “I’m fired up and I’m gonna win this whole thing.” Then, of course, threw the bad pick to lose it.
  2. Lmao people in that Tyrod debate used to say he doesn’t need to throw over the middle more because he’s already really good and our franchise QB. Were you one of those people? You draft a WR in the first because Diggs is no spring chicken and this is likely Davis’ last year in a Bills uni.
  3. Teams always love to trade away #1 picks for more picks in a weak draft.
  4. You got dunked on accusing him of making it up. It's a long offseason, just don't make it a trend lmao.
  5. Rare Einstein W. Common @NewEra L
  6. Ready for the lava take? McD is in trouble. How many defensive HC’s “take over playcalling” when things aren’t going great and they are trying to save their jobs?
  7. I know. He was was wrong. I answered his question.
  8. Yes I don’t think he will either but he may think he will.
  9. Or, third option, LJ is sitting out an entire year and hoping he can swing a Watson deal next season. Again, it can't.
  10. They can't and they wouldn't. No one is trading for Lamar without agreeing to a long-term deal. No one wanted to trade 2 firsts and give LJ that contract, obviously. And now, with the tag, they can't give any more than 2 firsts. Lamar will have to cave to get a team to trade for him. He lawst. No because there are deadlines to the contract. He has been tagged by NFL deadlines, regardless of when he actually puts pen to paper. NFL franchise tag deadline 2023 Date: Tuesday, March 7 If a team makes the decision to tag a player, they can still sign that player to a long-term extension. However, they would have only until 4 p.m. ET on July 15. At that point, players will be forced to play out the year on the tag. If they choose not to sign the tag, they will be ineligible to play for any other team for the entirety of the season. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-franchise-tags-values-deadlines-2023/ixapk2dwbgnaj3eth4hyoyrp
  11. Don't think so. The compensation can't exceed 2 firsts by the rules of the tag.
  12. Except Lamar revealing to the world that no one has wanted him at his price point for a month instead of 2 weeks. It's like telling potential employers you've been unemployed for 6 months when they ask what you've been doing the last two weeks.
  13. So what I'm reading is that teams can't outbid the transition tag 2 firsts for a QB as well. So the market is still 2 firsts and a fully GTD contract for LJ. Just like the last 3 weeks.
  14. Yes,technically. But players have no recourse but to sign or they just get no money and no year accrued.
  15. No no no, it’s so much worse. He demanded a trade a month ago. So to recap, super agent Lamar has: Not gotten any traction in a trade market for a month Not gotten any traction in a two first rounders and a fully guaranteed contract in 20 days Who are the Colts bidding against then? Lmao this dude is horrible.
  16. Lmao Lamar oh noes bb what are u doin https://twitter.com/adamschefter/status/1640365877315903496?s=46&t=GGNmxHtuMQWK-ZEccAMZsQ
  17. They colluded against him winning games because he questioned authority!
  18. We are just seeing the unstoppable force meet the immovable object. QB value has been a non-stop train for the last 20 years. It's gone up and up and up. Combine that with a young QB with a recent history of true greatness, a more recent history of injury concerns and weirdness and #1 in the NFL contract demands, and eventually, decision-makers in the NFL said, "it's not worth that." Allen and Mahomes are not stupid. They could have both asked for what Lamar did. They may have gotten it, they may not have. But what they definitely didn't want is this contract ugliness that will poison their national personas. How much is Mahomes making from State Farm? How much is Allen making from Gillette or whatever comes next? That's why Lamar is an idiot. If you are a superstar in the NFL, playing QB, you don't quibble over a couple million in guarantees. You sign endorsement deals and make hay while the sun shines.
  19. What do you mean they could trade him for 2 picks already? Who is negotiating with Lamar right now?
  20. The Raptors won because they traded for one of the best players in the NBA for one of the smallest “superstar” packages in recent NBA history. Based on the Sabres debacles over the years, I think Sean has one of the longest leashes in the NFL, personally. Whether he should or not is certainly a question
  21. Yeah after making him sit out a year lmao
  22. The Ravens don’t have to pay it. They are absolutely welcome to let Jackson languish under the tag pursuing an offer that isn’t coming, and then, next season, they can do it all again!
  23. Might as well trade Josh Allen away. He doesn’t guarantee anything either.
  24. @HappyDays deserves a lot of credit if this happens as basically the first dude with this idea. Beane probably was trolling TBD after the season ended and was like “yeah that makes sense!”
