  1. What you fail to understand, fanboy, is that next year - his 3rd - will apparently be Trent's first full season, so give him so time, ferchrissakes.
  2. It'd be great to see Cowher succeed where Donahoe failed.
  3. Cassel didn't seem to struggle at all. Wasn't afraid to throw it into the wind, either. Didn't do it often, but he completed crucial passes into the wind. Put 'em right where they needed to be. Had some zip on 'em too. Went 6 for 8. (Then again, he's from Northridge, CA so the cold weathe...oh, never mind.)
  4. His first full season was an improvement from his first season? How many first seasons does Trent get to have? Hmmm...this is all sounding vaguely familiar... (Actually, next season will be his first full season - unless he gets hurt again. )
  5. Actually, there would have been one name up there when he arrived - Simpson. Kemp went up during the year Carroll was here, though I'm not sure why Carroll found the Congressman so inspiring.
  6. It's hysterical, really - I'm certainly not a fan of the way either QB has performed, but the Trent guys so need to be right that any criticism of their boy evokes a kneejerk response with accusations of JP man-love. You criticize their boy Trent, and you're automatically a flaming lover of JP Losman. Something like this... "Gee, Trent looked shaky out there today! His play seems to be regressing, I wonder what's wrong?" "Oh yeah? You and the rest of JP's fanboys just can't accept the fact that Losman sucks and always will!" It's now become so comical that I pile on Trentie-boy on purpose, just to see how many nano-seconds pass before Bill, thebug, etc., fly into fits of apoplectic rage and unleash their homophobic insults, all while invoking the exact same excuses for Trent's boneheaded mishaps that they accuse JP's fans of making for him! (No tight end, no second WR, injuries, schitty weather, schitty coaching, schitty offensive coordinator, schitty offensive line, schitty play-calling...) Hey, wait...maybe it's our glove-wearing, injury-prone Trentie-boy that's schitty? 5...4...3...2...1...
  7. You may be right. Not that Peters is the big difference maker.
  8. Doubt we'll see Peters play another down in a Bills uniform.
  9. I won't renew my season tix, nor waste any money on any more road trips, but will tune in the road games on TV. Obviously, the home games won't be on the tube since they won't sell out.
  10. McGroder wasn't 'inducted' 'til '85 - how could his name have been on The Wall when Carroll coached here in '84? Link
  11. Holy schitt - have the Soviets invaded Afghanistan again??? Stupid freakin' Patriettes* fans. What a bunch of retahhhds.
  12. Um, because there was only one name on it? (O.J. Simpson)
  13. Good one, Bill! Of course, if it were truly a love affair, we'd be rejoicing - not grieving - for JP, since he's 'gone on to a better place'! Fact is, JP came into a bad organization, with bad management and dismal coaching. It never got better, and he ended up wasting the early part of his career here. Moving forward, I expect you and other Trentie fans will now pass off, as logical explanations for Edwards' struggles, the exact same circumstances that you deemed 'excuses' for JP's failures.
  14. No - I'm actually taking a circuitous route to get all the trentites to explain trentie's miserable performance, then compare those excuses to losman's situation. Seems to be working - the 'excuses' are nearly identical for both QBs.
  15. And he probably couldn't be happier. Now Trent fanboys can begin - and have already - making up excuses for why Edwards sucks so bad.
  16. Like the ones JP had when he played here?
  17. Of course not - clearly it was JP's fault.
  18. USC Song Girls or Jills? No contest Mmmm...Song Girls
  19. Why is it that Matt Cassel (from Northridge, CA) can play in the same weather that Trentie can't tolerate? Any excuses explanations, Trent-lickers? Did Belichick* maybe peel that section off the field house roof and spy on our Bills installing their 'game plan'?
  20. Thanks for yet another 'scoop', SKOOB, and for the picture of you in your slick ride - NOW everyone will have to believe you... SKOOBY
  21. actually, there are a few dozen folks that 'scooped' this way before tonite - either a great knack for predicting the obvious, or they have better 'inside sources' than you (and work for a better cab company)
  22. Maybe the cab company lets him take it home on weekends. That's his 'inside source' - cabbies overhear 'alot'.
  23. Yeah, but at least yours isn't a diecast from Franklin Mint, like Walter AKA SKOOBY Mitty's.
  24. That's a rumor I could buy into - Carroll got his NFL start here. I'd be surprised if he left USC, but I could see him doing well here as HC.
