  1. I get it man. In a perfect world maybe that’s a feasible and equitable solution. It absolutely will not happen. If you want to start that pressure campaign on the league though, please do I’ll upvote it I guess.
  2. Right? It’s funny some want to correct a grave injustice to one guy by doing an injustice to another guy, who absolutely earned his job and his extension.
  3. well one reason might be Araiza isn’t interested in coming back to the Bills after cutting him over this stuff. You’ll never know the full story and even if the Bills were amenable to doing it he might just say no. He’s pretty much exonerated at this point. He’ll have other suitors.
  4. and that’s fine - you’re obviously more excited about punters than I ever could be. look, the kid got railroaded. It sucks. I’m sure Beane is reading the same **** tonight and extremely mad at all the same people we are mad at. He should get another chance in the NFL (which I think he will, given he signed and then backed out of the Mexican league deal right around the time this meeting between the prosecutors and the (edit: ALLEGED) victim happened.) And who knows, maybe he ends up back on the Bills one day.
  5. I’m not following did I say the underlined?
  6. I mean he’s just a punter and they’re expendable. Again, just business. I couldn’t care less who the punter is. It has minuscule affect on their chances in the long run. Beyond the team though, yes I hope Araiza is able to get some sort of vindication beyond this prosecution report. Whether it be through a countersuit or something else I believe he deserves that at least. But the Bills don’t owe him squat.
  7. not going to get all into this for a 3rd time but he technically did not engage in statutory rape based on the fact she was 17 alone. Or at least he was not guilty of it.
  8. YES! thank you. You finally got it. Everything else is a lie. It’s a form of entertainment nothing more.
  9. yeah I think that’s BS too. This should be as widely reported as the initial story was. That has nothing to do with the Bills and owing Araiza “due process” - that has a specific legal definition (not cultural) and doesn’t apply to the Bills. All of your statements on this I agree with. Not his, sorry.
  10. yes it was a terrible injustice done to him by a professional organization that did not want to deal with that **** and had no obligation to deal with it. the only one truly at fault here is the accuser who made it up. There’s no need to nail him to multiple crosses.
  11. Not when there is legitimate, competing business interests at stake. The Buffalo Bills are not in the business of ensuring Matt Araiza gets “his day in court” or whatever without penalty by keeping him employed. The Buffalo Bills are in the business of making money and (hopefully) winning games.
  12. You think the other owners are seriously going to entertain giving the Bills a roster exemption to carry a second punter?
  13. Jesus this is ridiculous even from you. They didn’t cave to “fan irrationality” they made the right call at the time for the team. In no way does having a rostered player on the roster with rape allegations hanging over him help the locker room. And now you want them to cut the established punter who did fine for them last season and re-sign this guy just because? He’ll get another chance. no NFL team is subject to due process obligations, you nonce. You should stop
  14. One of the things that gave me pause initially and thought looked bad for Araiza was the fact that this accuser did do something that many actual rape victims unfortunately do not do - go in immediately (next day) and get a rape kit done. That, combined with all these prosecutor findings (which I do not doubt at all), just doesn’t add up to me, unless she was attempting some actual malicious s***.
  15. Is this full 200 page transcript floating around somewhere, or was it just leaked to press and the reporters pulled details?
  16. besides the accuser herself, yeah those BMB women should be the first to say something publicly. Hard to expect an actual apology, but maybe an acknowledgment? I wouldn’t hold my breath though.
  17. you’re suggesting the team has revised its timeline. They have not. While it‘s entirely possible they run into delays during construction, they have not in any way implied they are already looking to shifting opening to 2027. If you have links to other sources reporting otherwise, please share them. Because the Buffalo News story doesn’t say what you think it says.
  18. that’s absolutely not what it means. Substantial completion (July 2026) means it’s ready to be open and used. The March 2027 date is full build out - all the auxiliary things will be done by then.
  19. For someone pretending to engage in “mature discussion” or however you put it, you’re awfully defensive and dismissive of counterpoints. Do you have a rebuttal for St or are you going to just do this childish stuff until this thread mercifully dies?
  20. Exactly. London Fletcher was 5’9” 240. He played 16 years.
  21. Hammer said on twitter a while back that he was told no private lot holders would be affected. Obviously things can change, but according to him they should be all good.
  22. yes taking a 1st team all-pro and switching his position is certainly an “adult” idea. As is using infantile phrasing like “hear me out.”
  23. anyone that starts their idea with “hear me out” gets a nope sorry. Just post your hair brained idea straight out. No need for the preamble.
  24. Jets are more of a threat to the Bills currently anyways so, uh, thanks Bill?
