Nope, Boise State or Louisiana Tech last draft. Forget which one. -
Anyone think Willis showed breakaway speed?
Mikie2times replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First defensive lineman are allowed to hold as long as he does not hold to allow a stunting defensive lineman a free path to the inside. As for the penalty on the Willis and the screen pass their was absolutely no hold on the part of Teague. If their was it was nothing that would warrant a flag (minimal holding that takes place on every play). As for the speed McGahee showed I think the announcers had a great point, possibly the only great point all day by them. Willis runs flat footed, running flat footed gives the illusion that a player is not running as fast as he is. I would know, I ran flat footed my whole life and was consistently not perceived as a fast player. When it came down to a race I was the fasted kid on the team by a wide margin. I don't know why exactly running flat footed gives that illusion, I just know it does. My guess would be because flat footed runners generally have short torsos and long legs. They tend to completely extend with their legs in slower motion and make up for it by taking longer strides. Shorter/taller toe runners take a short stride but use a much faster leg motion. So yes, Willis is fast, it will just be hard to really see it with his running style. -
Actually two out of your first three and number four need to happen. Remember their is two spots available.

the UNNOTICED play of the game
Mikie2times replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought the same thing, that play allowed the TD to follow. If we go in at halftime down ten I don't know if we win this game. That and his other plays earned him the game ball IMO. -
PICK CHARGERS!!!!

-Evans is turning into one of the most prolific rookie wide outs the Bills have had in recent memory. -Willis is showing how bright his future looks on a weekly basis, that future only gets better once he is 100% on that knee. -JP is a unknown but if he ends up becoming a player then this trio would be downright scary for at least half a decade.

How he snagged that is beyond me, definitely one of the best plays this year. TKO said he looked like a hard boiled egg rolling down the field LOL.

I agree, why not give Gramatica a chance? The guy has a howitzer for a leg and has proved clutch and reliable all the way up to this year. Kickers don't just fall off the map that quick unless its a mental block, maybe the change of scenery helps him overcome that. At the very least we will get a guy that can kickoff to the end zone and the same kind of production we have got from Lindell.

OK, IF we dont make the play-offs...

I really believe this to, to me the most difficult part of the equation is taking care of our end. Every year you see a couple of teams that look like a lock for the wild card in week 9-10. Then they start to lose, the teams that looked out of it catch up and usually one of those hot teams sneak in. Finish 10-6 and we make it....Like you the Cinci game also worries me, lets hope the Patriots crush their spirit next week in Foxboro. -
It doesn't matter how it goes down Dax, point is if they lose to New England and Finish 10-6 we beat them out. So they can have one more game just not the New England one.

Big Mike not been in all game?
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Jonas went out a play they had Smith in at LT, I was freaking out. When either big Mike or Jonas go down and Marcus comes in I dont give it a second thought, Price is a huge asset. -

More good news Three or More Clubs (Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-club format.) 1. Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2. The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tie breaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the three Wild-Card participants. Like I said, if the Jets finish 10-6 we 100% guaranteed go ahead of them if we finish with the same record and they lose to the Patriots. -

TO BREAK A TIE FOR THE WILD-CARD TEAM If it is necessary to break ties to determine the two Wild-Card clubs from each conference, the following steps will be taken. 1. If the tied clubs are from the same division, apply division tie breaker. 2. If the tied clubs are from different divisions, apply the following steps. -
Just go to secondary apparel stores online and you should have no problem finding one. By secondary I mean not BB.com, rumor has it BB.com sold out.

Martin Gramatica, no way he naturally looks like that

Willis has started 6 out of 11 games this season. If you took the averages of those 6 games and figured out how those stats would apply to a 16 game schedule it would look like this. Att 413.3 Game 25.8 Yds 1594.6 Game 99.6 TD 18.6 Game 1.16 Avg 3.86 Game 3.86 REC 32 Game 2 Yds 309.3 Game 19.3 TD 0 Game 0 Avg 9.6 Game 9.6 Willis says he's in the mid nineties in terms of his comeback. If thats the case, and given these possible stats, he would have basically had the best year of a Bills back since Thurman. I see plenty of things with Willis, it pretty much amounts to a huge amount of intangibles that most backs lack and some rare skills that allow him to be a great player even though he is not 100%. What is scary is if you watched him play at the U. I had the college football package back then and Willis then is not Willis now. Willis played much more aggressively in college, in a survival of the fittest type way Willis has changed his game from a hit the hole power/speed back to a patience/power back. If you watched him play in college you understand what he means about being 95%. The guy could flat out fly back then, it was all power and speed. In the long run his injury might have been a blessing in disguise. Basically it forced him to develop his secondary running skills in order to be effective. If he ever regains his sub 4.4 speed and combines it with his new found patience he will be a very scary player. If he can remain healthy the sky is the limit for this kid.

Lenny P says Shelton should go to Pro Bowl
Mikie2times replied to billsburgh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My vote goes to TD for comeback player of the year . But seriously, how many of these guys can he keep hitting on. Shelton, MaGee, Evans, Willis, Kelsey, Fast Freddy, and Baker. Many more if you wanted to get down to it. I used to hate on TD from time to time but his decisions seem to really be paying some dividends now. -

I agree and have said the same thing to many of my friends. I just want to get to the Pittsburgh game with something to play for. Half the board has said Pittsburgh will likely not be playing for anything and thats why we have a chance. It doesn't matter what Pittsburgh is playing for, I don't care who it is, if the Bills had one game to reach the playoffs in Buffalo I think they could beat anybody. The momentum this team would have going into that game would be unmeasurable. The weather, the fans, no team in the NFL would beat us on that day. We have to crawl to walk and walk to run, but if we get to 9-6, and the chips fall right, we make the playoffs. -

I think Holmes is done this season. I would be willing to bet if we finish 10-6 we make the playoffs. If Vegas set the lines it would probably be even money we make it at 10-6. The unthinkable is very possible as long as we take care of our end.
