  1. Disagree. The Bengals have been notoriously slow starters and had Burrow on one leg to start the year. KC has a propensity to play down to competition in the regular season. Both those teams have a track record of exactly what we have seen then boom. As much as people want to justify our play with this notion we are not in that boat. We have been a good regular season team and we have been a completely dominant DVOA defense over the last several years. Our defense has performed at the bottom of the league since Jacksonville. No question the worst run since the McDermott playoff era started. Just that alone is enough to say it’s different this time. We can’t just “figure it out” if our defense is bottom 20. Hasn’t worked out very well for them as a top 5 unit on bigger stages. It will be up to the offense to be 2021 dominant if we want to make a run this year. That or some drastic changes with a unit that is out critical starters. Worse than even last year.
  2. Raiders can cover with a TD....crazy
  3. Off the top turn buckle
  4. 25 or 45?
  5. Ya..I actually think over time they will unravel some of these parlay options. I I took under on Mahomes passing output and points on Denver. That is a correlated event to some degree. Certainly not perfect, but enough for somebody to potentially exploit those concepts more over time. I'm all but certain some combinations exist in this strategy with huge hit rates. Especially with even colleges being involved in this.
  6. I won't use him. Burned two of my tickets this year. Ya...I don't really entertain the horrific final leg loss. Parlays are built to take you out painfully.
  7. He's got that long stride glide. I have very long legs as well and it's very hard to judge how fast somebody is moving. Kincaid has that element but as an elite athlete. It's going to make it very hard for teams to match up with him. Smooth. Tell him
  8. Lions 363 yards to Vegas 110 Lions 20 FD's to Vegas 8 Somehow they're putting this -7 in jeopardy. Game could easily be 20 points or more.
  9. They're probably the best team at running the ball at 3rd and moderate distance as any I have seen. Nobody even tries it. They do it consistently and they will happily go on 4th down if they get half the yardage. They did it to us a few times on Thanksgiving.
  10. Ed was considered an elite DT prospect. Hell, he might have been the best college DT prospect in the last decade. He never really lived up to that billing in Houston but you saw the raw ability. I'm very happy he ended up turning the corner. Given how strongly the Bills felt about him, I think it's likely he turned the corner even sooner, it was just harder for us to see it at DT.
  11. 100% and between Detroit, Cleveland, and Buffalo how many Super Bowls? Something with Lake Erie?
  12. I'm a metro Detroit native. I can't have more than one team but I will certainly support them. Wayne county isn't exactly small, but yes, the fan base being loyal, tortured, blue collar, Ralph, the apparent snow treaty, older franchises, no Super Bowls. I would say we share a lot in common. If it isn't us, I would want it to be them.
  13. lmao! Love it! You guys look great!
  14. I don't know what triggered the feeling of reliving this carnage. Perhaps it was hearing people call the Baltimore/Cardinals game a bad beat. Which it surely was. As a devout degenerate of 20 years I have had them go both ways. I have lost on so many onside kicks it doesn't even qualify as a bas beat at this point. I have won and lost on pick sixes multiple times. I have PTSD over game ending laterals. In any event, I figured memorable battle wounds could be fun. Here is my most recent demise. It killed a 4 team parlay that was 16 to 1, three legs in the books. https://www.espn.com/college-football/playbyplay/_/gameId/401415269 I had Utah State +16.5 28-23 Boise State, Utah State is driving with 1:28 left. It's 4th and 9 on the Boise 14. A score and Utah State takes the lead. Interception Well, at least it's on the Boise 10 yard line. As good as a turnover on downs. Boise State hands it off on the 10. Loss of one. 2nd down, one minute left, TO Utah State. Next play, 91 yard Touchdown on a QB option Boise State 35, Utah State 23. So OK, I'm now alerted as I know what possibilities exist. Very unlikely ones sure, but they exist. How did we even get to this point I say to myself? Utah State was a play away from taking the lead seconds ago and at +16.5? Kickoff ensues. Tick..Tick...Tick. Incomplete, Incomplete, Sack, now under 30 seconds left. One more incompletion, one more anything that is not a house call and it's over. It's 4th and 17.... I see the score update flash on ESPN. Pick 6.... Boise State 42 - Utah State 23 Yup.... Some games you won't forget
  15. The Divisional game last year, I risked too much on the Bengals Moneyline. I did not find it to be worth the money. It impacted my enjoyment of the game (which obviously sucked, but it just felt off). I saw the opening line this week and again, felt like it was easy money. But I decided against it. I understand what you're saying. At the same time nothing wrong with just putting the team you love off limits even if you think you can make some money.

  17. I see the Bengals being in a very similar position as us. Namely a team just trying to figure it out. I don’t think it mattered for either of us as far as how we play. Both teams could have won or lost this week and still be desperate. We will get both teams best.
  18. These stats might have a loose correlation with hands but not much more. What they do show is both players doing a good job at converting targets into receptions. Which is impressive because running backs dominate this list. So to even show up as a TE or WR is very positive.
  19. I mean, we likely lose that game against an average team. Our offense is largely healthy and not dominating enough to make up for our depleted defense which is looking more bottom of the league. I would hope they would have been dominating enough to do so against that poor of a team. I feel like this win is fools gold. It's says a lot when you think you played really well and very well could have lost.
  20. I completely disagree on the choking narrative. What happened in 13 seconds? We didn't put players in the right position to be successful. What happened when we allow a punt return for a TD in week 1? What happened when we allow the Giants/Patriots final drives? What happened on the almost Hail Mary? It's all positioning players to be successful. Which is not easy and it's understandable when it doesn't happen every play or every game. But to your point, it feels like this is a chronic issue. As much as I have never been one to pile on McDermott, it does boil down to him. That is the common thread. We just don't make the right choices in key situations. In my mind a lot of it is our coaching staff playing not to lose. We are the definition of a team that plays not to lose late in games.
  21. I wish our fan base wasn’t this accurate on adjustments
  22. While simultaneously shrinking the amount of possessions we get on offense. IF we consider Henry I don't expect we will use him in this way. It would be as a result of the concerns we had when we went with 12 personal, namely no intermediate or short weapons.
  23. I mean, if it was true what exactly does it say about our process? We have an entire offseason to consider offense/RB and we don't (Harris/Murray). We lose impact players at all three levels on defense. Our question marks at RB heading into the season have actually performed pretty well. Our resolution is get a veteran Running Back on the franchise tag? This just isn't who we are. It's INTRIGUING but a lot of things you should never do are that. Move along.
