Yeah, for at least the foreseeable future, that's the case. -

Outside of the damaged areas, I'd have to agree. I'll pay a bit more for gas and suck it up. Lots of people just lost everything. The least I can do is not whine about $1 more per gallon. This sucks - I *need* gas on the way home too. I'll need to sit in line with everyone else, I guess. -

Double Sh*t. Wife just called... she's trying to get gas because she's @ like 1/8th of a tank.... Every station she's passed has a line going out the driveway and down the street. Tells me there are police at stations keeping order. Hang on guys, here we go. We're metro Atlanta. The irritating thing... I'm sure we'll have enough gas here, this is the initial flood of what-if panic I'd argue. -

To abstract it out a little higher, anyone with much spiritual awareness at all, regardless of denomination, probably ranks possessions just above "termites." It's hard to rationalize when put under the strains that these folks have been, though. -

I agree with you. I would have left. I'd grab whatever I can that I might need, and the rest can rot for all I care. Not everyone thinks like that and I can fully understand why some people might risk it. Food, water, clothes, diapers... sure take it. But you know damn well some of these folks are stocking up on diamond rings and DVD players. -

New Orleans mayor says Katrina killed hundreds -- maybe thousands -- of people in city, Associated Press reports. More soon. This is so much worse than we realize, I believe. -

5. They know that authorities won't let them back in for months and don't want to leave everything they have to mother nature and the looters. (I would have personally high-tailed it the hell out) -
It's purely psychological- like $9.99 sounds better that $10.00 423815[/snapback] Not if you HATE PENNIES. After reading "http://www.drudgereport.com/flash2.htm", I'm officially ready for the suck to start.

Watch this guy get a straight beating

Yeah, but can you get a conceal permit for that? In most states that's probably kind of difficult (and I hear that even with the best holster, it chaffes like you wouldn't believe!). -

A .38? What, are you going to "piss them off to death?" Pick up a .454, the sight of that bore alone would send 'em running. =) -

I second that. No one else. In fact, they steal his crap after he goes down. I can't believe people have the ability to just brutally beat the crap out of each other for stupid reasons like that. I would have backed over him. -
I agree with every word you said, but I'm going to have to use that scratch and sniff analogy in the future and claim it as my own.

Or the XP! Game doesn't really "matter", no. But loosing still sucks no matter how you package it. End of the world? Of course not. Bit of a downer? Yeah, sure is. -Jeff

Buffalo needs to do this NOW!
mcjeff215 replied to BuffaloDynamite's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Screw that. Sunday Ticket = RJ! I'm sick of paying $200 a year to watch 3 games a weekend. I'm counting down the days until I can PPV the games I want to see without having to fork it over for games I'm not overly concerned about. And if that's not an option, The NFL + DTV = RJ. At least make it available to other providers, NFL. Now that Empire is gone, my satalite dish is just cable that goes out in the rain. -Jeff -
I like living in Atlanta. I go to Sabers/Bills when I can. A good 25% of the fans at those games are Buff.

Alpharetta, GA - Where to watch Bills
mcjeff215 replied to Bob in Mich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sidelines in Marietta? Barnacles in Duluth? I've lived here for 9 years in December and I never knew this... Heh, I've got the ticket anyways, I guess. Would be nice to watch it with a group of other fans, though! 16 miles is close. btw. I drive 32 one way to work (which is down from the previous job, which was 41 each way). -
Why not? A little Monday morning Drew bashing
mcjeff215 replied to smokinandjokin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had blocked those years out. Thanks. I honestly don't give a crap how he does. We're better off with who we have now. He's a good guy, I could care less if he doesn't loose a game all year. Well... they can loose the last one. To us. -Jeff -
Fukufuji follows NHL dream. Link

Oh.... oh the chants... oh... oh boy.... Remember how folks used to think "Bruuuuuuce" was "Booooooo?" Yeah. Completley off topic, but this OLN Deal... does this mean that freaking Direct TV will black out all of the NHL games that go over OLN and put that "order center ice" blurb at the bottom? Yeah. That pisses me off right there. -
If it makes you feel better, the Falcons post game report usually contains a "how to make your BMW look better than your neighbor's Mercedes" bit. Suck as it may, it's better than what I get now that Empire is no more. On my drives up north, I start tuning in 550 around Cincinatti. On a strong day, I get some home town radio around Columbus.

You're not going to fully remove a urine smell. Won't happen. The odor is going to get into the flooring below the carpet and your dog *will* smell that. Use the A&H or the Natures Miracle to kill the smell to your human nose. Your dog will always be able to pick up the smell, though. There are "odorless' products you can buy that are supposed to keep dogs from going there again. I've not tried them before, but I'd argue that nuking the smell to your nose and using one of those to keep the dog out would be the best approach. If it's just pet dander/naural smell, the N&M or the pet deodorizer ought to work fine. We've "friends" that run a kennel/train for a living, they've told us this a few times.

Sam Wyche- your star pupil is shining
mcjeff215 replied to buffalo mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I personally don't think so. It looked like he was holding on to it and biding his time because he just KNEW he could make "that big play." Looks like an honest screw up. It didn't look common though. Like I said, there were other situations where he realized the play was a bust and ate the down rather than a) running and risking injury b) forcing a turnover c) eating a sack. I'm feeling more and more confident with every down that he's under center. I really do think that by week one, he'll bring a good game. Hell, for each time he tossed that ball away yesterday, DB would have been planted firm on his behind. -Jeff -
Probably not going to happen. Give "Nature's Miracle" a try, that may work. The stuff is a bit pricey, but I found it works great. If they've pissed, that will *never* really go away, and they'll always piss there again. To cover up the smell of dog, I'd recommend leaving a dead carp under your couch. I promise you'll not smell the dog odor. -Jeff

Nah, he did a good job of throwing the thing away for the rest of the game if he needed to. I think we can just chalk that up to rookie-qb-syndrom. -Jeff
