That's an nice part of the country. Wife's family is from there. If I had to pick somewhere other than Buffalo/WNY, I'd go there. I'm in Atlanta now. Take away the big city crap, it'd be a nice place to live. But since I can't do that, I guess the right answer is "it's work."

Used to do Karate Tournaments. Third in NYS bout 10 years back. Thought of picking it back up down here in ATL, but most of it that I've seen 'round here is simply aerobics with some roundhouse action. Big no on the team sports thing.

Yeah, it's Flash. Flash is one of those things that can really add to a site if used sparingly, but when it replaces the standard navigation structure, sucks. I don't mind it on entertainment sites so much as I do on information sites (perhaps you want to bookmark something and return again later?). I'm not much of a Korn fan, but their site is a great example of what not to do... www.korn.com. -Jeff

Not quite, your ticket... but, others have already covered that. Using this argument, I could go down to my nephew's boy scout meeting (private event) at the park up the street (built with taxpayer dollars) and shout whatever I want about the inept cub scout den leader.

It's a private organization dictating dress code and appearance guidelines to their employees. Head in to work tomorrow wearing a big "show me your breasts" shirt and use the "Land of the Free" argument on them when they show you the door before 8:30. Much like everyone said in the "signs" thread. Lame? Sure, whatever, but it has absolutely to do with freedom of speech, repressing expressionism, or anti-americanism. I think we're in agreement. Yes, it sucks. Yes, they should have been able to keep the signs. It's petty, lame, ridiculous, and moronic - all at the same time. I think it's a case of TD going on the defensive. I don't agree with it one bit, but they're well within the right to yank 'em. -Jeff

Fully legal and yes they can do that. "Freedom of Speech" doesn't grant you any right to walk into someone's place of business and call that someone a fool. Furthermore, it doesn't protect you should that someone retaliate and defend themselves within legal reason. Now, if Congress passed a law that kept you from saying that you think Tom Donahoe is a tool, then perhaps, there would be an issue. That said, I think it's a lame thing to do and sign is fine.
