  1. Yeah, sorry 'bout that!
  2. Hypersensitivity. I'm surprised the news story didn't end with "the nationality of the dorm resident is unknown at this time." FEAR! BE SCARED!
  3. I was being facetious with the Kennedy comment. I'm trying to point out that your activist-rhetoric is getting a bit old, you're just reciting talking points from "The Majority Report" and "The Randy Rhodes Show." Not only that, it has no bearing on the topic and discussion at hand. To the quoted response, I've not touched on my personal beliefs as they have no bearing on the point I'm trying to get across. Trust me, your assumptions are off. -Jeff
  4. From what I gather, Ricin is fairly easy to produce. Probably some college kid's "guess what I can do" experiment.
  5. Then Ted Kennedy can introduce his Iran welfare plan and use funds garnished from the wages of rich Americans (over 52k annual income) to pay for food and healthcare for those we illegally bomb? Come on, can we stop with this crap today?
  6. I agree. I'm not 100% sure if it's calculated or not, but it sure looks to be working that way. Oh, and nice use of the term "double entendre", you get 100 points. -Jeff
  7. Looks a bit like someone just finished reading "AJAX in a Nutshell" and wanted to build something to me. It's a cool technology, but a lot of sites take it to the extreme. This is a bit of an exception because it's *supposed* to be an extreme. Problem stems from developers designing sites with a technology in mind rather than a true functionality goal. -Jeff
  8. I hear that a lot, but you know what? Here in GA, the stupid have paid for half of my college education and will pay for my daughter's Pre-K. So I hope they continue to play. Hell, I do sometimes. Not because I have any true belief I'll win, but it's just kinda fun. In short, if you're a B student or better in High School, college is free. Pre-K is free for everyone. There are some problems, but it's worked out well. When I was growing up in Buff, my mother worked at Georgia Pacific. They used to buy tickets every week. One time, we had the first FIVE numbers on the NYS Lotto correct... the 6th? We chose a FOURTEEN as opposed to a FIFTEEN. The split would have been about 4 and a half million each. We got about three hundred bucks.
  9. I find it interesting that they're not more "friendly" to possible abusive accounts. I guess its a result of the size.
  10. Yes, that's what the error said - verbatim!
  11. Just got this on a website I was visiting. Gotta love the customer service. Why? Because they're freaking Google, that's why. This is what I got on a site that's displaying Google ads. "ADSENSE ID ca-pub-8470893113446656 REPORTED FOR ABUSE. SAY BYE BYE TO YOUR MONEY."
  12. Yup good luck Mike!!! That said, it sure looks like they're doing what we've been crying for.
  13. Ha, I use that one at work all the time.
  14. The Nichols folks wanted me to go there when I was a kid, 'cept my blue-collar parents couldn't afford it. I kind of wonder if I'd be a cardio-thoracic surgeon if I had gone.
  15. Yeah DMC and the Beasties. Yup yup.
  16. Yeah, everyone knows and agrees with what he's about to get. The sad part is that he sees more value in hitting the bong than he does in the game. I hope he's booted. People like that make the NFL look like a joke. It's not that I care about the weed. For purposes of this discussion, legalize everything for all I care. It's like you said, he continues to use what his superiors have told him not to. -Jeff
  17. I agree with that in terms of what I personally like, but I really think that only the fringe cases can be called "noise." I am too, by the way. I only like a narrow band in each genre.
  18. Ha. That reminds me.... You can't touch this!
  19. See, that's what a few bad apples due to the genre. Same crap happens to the rappers. Get one 2-Live and it's game over. Get a Cannible Corpse and a Deicide or two and Metal is all noise. Like everything else in life, the vast majority is fine, it's the crap on the fringe that needs to be shipped off to a pacific island penal colony.
  20. Other. There are a few. I'm not a fan of rap in general, but there are a few folks that have left their mark... The Beasties and Run DMC come to mind.
  21. An extreme form of the genre that uses distorted guitars and a growling vocal style sometimes described as "cookie monster" vocals. Jeez guys, we all forgot about Death Metal! Let's not forget Buffalo's own Cannibal Corpse! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannibal_Corpse
  22. Other... if we're talking singing ability, I'd have to go with someone like James LaBrie. That man's got a hell of a voice on him. Out of the list you've provided, my vote would go to Ozz or Rose - more weight on "Front Man" than vocalist. When voting on that credential, James Hetfield rules all. Edit.. speaking Lemmy, there's also the "Gimmick Guys" as I call 'em. Anselmo, Mustaine, and the Type-O dude. Not the best singing voices, but damn unique, which makes them good in their own right. (Disclaimer: Gimmick in this sense is not a bad thing, nor is it a record company induced reason for sell out, it's just the name I've given it). -Jeff
  23. For $25, I'll tell you how to tunnel it through another machine.
