I mean if he fell to 34, AND we got Hopkins for a 5th, I'd be ecstatic.

If the price for Dhop is too high, then that would be a mistake, too. It may even be a mistake if the price is right, considering the kicking the can down the road. That's why I'm for trading up to like 22 if Johnston is there. The only risk is that he's not an NFL'er, but we have film that shows it's likely not the case. As I said before every guy selected in the draft is a crap shoot, so that's not even a legit argument vs the risk of giving up assets and paying an aging receiver with future cap space, with PED and injury issues. Plus there's a factor that we forget about, and that's actual money. Daddy Warbucks is only going to spend so much actual cash. The notion that he's not looking at the books, because he trusts them to build him a winner is silly. Even the most devoted owner has an actual cash budget. That first round rookie, who might be a star, is going to cost less thru the next 4 years, than Dhop is going to cost next year.

The window only closes quickly if we assume that new star QB's keep entering the league like they did in that last spurt. By year 5, all teams have cap issues. I'm not seeing that happening myself. Imho, Mahomes and Allen are the class of the NFL, and the other top guys are somewhat overrated. We didn't lose because we weren't good enough, we lost because 13 seconds of ridiculously mismanaged football.

If it's our third, then I agree. Maybe after wheeling and dealing, Beane ends up with a low 4th they'd accept. I wouldn't be shocked if it was only a 5th or 6th, because of the Houston trade compensation. He surely has much less value now than he had then. Like not even close.

You'd think if Dee wanted to go to the Bills, and no one else blew the Cards socks off, they'd do him a solid. You might want to note my previous posts on accepting the ramifications, or taking responsibility for the consequences of your stance on abortion. What's your stance on millions of unwanted children, other than then unrealistic adoption approach. Is wanting to have a plan to secure for their well being not part of a good policy?? What are you talking about? I have no idea what you're trying to convey to me. What I was talking about was the judge had just appointed a special master to look into Fox hiding evidence. I'm guessing that means that this will not happen now, even though it should, and it should probably be a crime, too To stop the special master from ever being appointed(as he's no longer needed)

They settled right after it was announced. That's why they settled almost immediately.

Not buying the contraceptives thing, because they're readily available, and cheap compared to most entertainment. No on education, because usually both parents have been preaching to use it since puberty. It's a lack of personal responsibility plain and simple. The government already has TONS of programs, tax breaks, and social services dedicated to families. I don't think the right's major issue is increasing births, I think it's reducing abortions. I'm not going to discuss the issue of population. My point is that if they're going to advocate one way or the other, they should be responsible enough to address the problems with their positions.

I try to stay out of the abortion issue, because I understand both sides perspectives. The part that chaps me is neither sides wants to talk about the responsibilities that go along with their positions. The left doesn't want to discuss personal responsibility for their actions, which resulted in the unwanted pregnancies. The right won't talk about home abortions, and millions of unwanted children.

The justice system is crooked will be the reason they give for settling. Fox and their lawyers must be real geniuses to let all the discovery happen, then settle at the worst point humanly possible.

In case you didn't read it, it says "in support of their classmate, who was shot twice in Kansas City after he rang the wrong doorbell while trying to pick up his younger siblings".
