  1. I'm arguing that the tools are already there ready to be utilized, but people make a simple choice not to use them. It's textbook, basic lack of responsibility.
  2. That's exactly the point I was attempting to make. I guess I just did a bad job of it.
  3. What are you talking about? I have no idea what you're trying to convey to me. What I was talking about was the judge had just appointed a special master to look into Fox hiding evidence. I'm guessing that means that this will not happen now, even though it should, and it should probably be a crime, too To stop the special master from ever being appointed(as he's no longer needed)
  4. When I got home from work, I saw they had announced a special master looking into discovery claims. Then like 10 minutes later, I saw they settled. It looks like the special master was announced around noonish?
  5. They settled right after it was announced. That's why they settled almost immediately.
  6. Not buying the contraceptives thing, because they're readily available, and cheap compared to most entertainment. No on education, because usually both parents have been preaching to use it since puberty. It's a lack of personal responsibility plain and simple. The government already has TONS of programs, tax breaks, and social services dedicated to families. I don't think the right's major issue is increasing births, I think it's reducing abortions. I'm not going to discuss the issue of population. My point is that if they're going to advocate one way or the other, they should be responsible enough to address the problems with their positions.
  7. Special independent master to identify facts about our lying covered up by witholding the facts about us being liars? SETTLED!
  8. I try to stay out of the abortion issue, because I understand both sides perspectives. The part that chaps me is neither sides wants to talk about the responsibilities that go along with their positions. The left doesn't want to discuss personal responsibility for their actions, which resulted in the unwanted pregnancies. The right won't talk about home abortions, and millions of unwanted children.
  9. The justice system is crooked will be the reason they give for settling. Fox and their lawyers must be real geniuses to let all the discovery happen, then settle at the worst point humanly possible.
  10. In case you didn't read it, it says "in support of their classmate, who was shot twice in Kansas City after he rang the wrong doorbell while trying to pick up his younger siblings". I'm surmising that it has something to do with a racist murdering someone who shouldn't have owned a firearm(I know he could legally, that's the point).
  11. Cut Diggs? Never happening. The dead cap is more than his cap hit???
  12. I don't know. If it were me, I'd be worried that it being one in a million, yet a pretty standard tackle, that there might be something to it being a strange personal medical issue. At the same time, I'm super happy he is going to get to do what he loves, and make a good living doing it. Welcome back, Damar. Go get em!
  13. He was just kidding about lock her up. If she was indicted, Trump would have been non-stop tweeting about how unjust it was. I swear to God some people are just completely incapable of seeing hypocrisy.
  14. This is the real big news of the day. There's a reason he doesn't want them testifying.
  15. Would you still believe the case is flimsy if there's solid evidence that the hush payment was tied to the campaign? ie audio recording, etc? I'd also remind you that at one time Bragg had people resign, because he wasn't going to prosecute. There will be specific details coming soon, so maybe it's better to decide how "flimsy" something is after you get the actual facts/details. Doing so beforehand just makes you look as partisan as the people you're accusing.
  16. As tough as it is to listen to the smug, credential-less Jesse Watters, I'm trying to see if Fox could find someone who would accept cash to claim there was no crime. It's not happening. Heck, even Twitter is only sticking to the political aspects. Apparently, people are only interested in how this is either political, or how he can get out of it. The fact that a crime happened seems to be irrelevant to many.
  17. So you believe the federal election law is the law that Bragg is alluding to that he wouldn't say it was tied to? He has to put out specific findings within 15 days, so I guess we will know then.
  18. The DOJ should have taken this case, because they DO have a solid case that he paid the hush money to avoid the political fallout. I don't even think anyone who's super MAGA would discredit that notion. The problem with that is that politicians do this so often, and so much, that it would be obvious that Trump was the only one targeted. Who loses in this scenario? The voters. This is proof that the "weaponization of the DOJ" is actually the DOJ working against the people who's interest it's supposed to be protecting. I'll bet 90% of Americans are against NDA's, especially used in a way to protect candidates from information the people need to know to make an educated vote. I get most of these cases are hard to prove, but they have evidence that they were going to attempt to dupe the client into holding off until after the election to avoid payment. To me this is 'the smoking gun'.
  19. That's not why this is important, though. Trump's defense will try to claim the payment wasn't related to the election. This is proof otherwise. The question is how does a federal election relate to a state law.
  20. I think there's a point you guys are missing. They could have just went out, and arrested Trump, without saying a word. Doing it this way is actually doing him a solid.
  21. I think they realize that both sides are so firmly entrenched, that neither is even interested in that kind of theater anymore. At this point the media isn't swaying independents anymore. If there's anything political about it, it's probably that they want to keep Trump busy in court, rather than running a campaign. If that's true, then dirty politics just got dirtier. I really don't fear the rogue prosecutor thing, though. It won't do anyone's reputation any good to lose, and these rich politicians have stolen enough money from us to have a defense, that we could only dream of. No sympathy for them there, and it might be refreshing if they actually cared about getting caught and prosecuted.
  22. This just means that the script is already written, without any intent to focus on the actual charges and evidence. Very predictable. Heck, they could just read it tonight, because it's going to be exactly what he's already tweeted reiterated, plus a talking point or two that's been added. I seriously hope the judge puts a lid on the nonsense aspect of this fast.
  23. I'm thinking they didn't give it to Trump yet, because he'd leak it, and then accuse them of leaking it.
  24. That the process has an expiration date.
  25. If you're a casual fan, and really haven't been paying too much attention to free agency, then this guy really does bring you up to speed. Seems to be a pretty fair and honest opinion, too.
