Teller is fine at LG. I think Dawkins should move to RT, sign a C and RG, draft a LT.

You didn't watch the games. Teller was worse than Ducasse and Miller.  He was terrible in pass protection.  He has tons of upside and I'm not saying he can't get better. But he just wasn't that good last year.

As for Dawkins I don't think anyone on this board knows.  He has played adequately at LT - great at times but like the entire line he had a down 2018.  Like others I don't think a move to LG is out of the question.  I suspect it comes down to FA and the draft.  If they draft a guy that can play LT and they only sign a true C in FA, then sure Dawkins might slide over to LG.  But assuming they let Mills walk any OT draft pick probably gets penciled in at RT.  Beane had better take the BPA OL in the draft in at least three rounds whether it is C/G/OT/TE.  They need multiple bodies and let it sort itself out in camp.

  2. Miller is an average G but he was better than Teller and Ducasse. Teller might get better.

The whole line is a mess. Dawkins regressed last year. There are too many holes to deal with in one year. Bringing Miller back on a reasonable 3 yr deal would be fine. Could they find a suitable replacement? Probably.

My hunch is they sign two linemen in FA and draft at least one more.  I'm not even sure they know if Dawkins is the answer at LT.

We are so lucky to have the coaches and GM we have.  Can't wait to see what they can do next season, after Free Agency, the draft, and Josh Allen's second year.

Unfortunately I only got the actual article to come up once....have to be a subscriber I guess.

That coach and that GM put together the 2019 roster. That coach started Peterman. Same coach that let Gilmore walk. Same GM that got rid of talent for cap space.

Past is prologue. I’m moving on and evaluating moves made going forward. But I’m not giving them a pass on prior decisions.

  4. The kid is only 20.  He looked great at times and lost at times.

Fact is at least two rookie linebackers outplayed him and the Bills gave up a 3rd round pick to move up 6 spots to get him.  The 3rd round pick could have been a C, TE, or WR.  Too much to move up 6 spots. But past is the past.

He seemed to get better as the season went along.

Again, he is only 20 and at this point looks like he could be the anchor on defense for years to come.

Wallace and Foster saved that draft along with Teller and T Johnson. It's Edmunds and Allen that worry me. I can't imagine Allen at #3. I can also see Edmunds going on day 2 or even day 3.

Teller was hot garbage at guard and no better than Ducasse. He just got the starts because Ducasse was terrible, expensive, and soon to be gone. But in no way was Teller better or even good.  His pass protection was awful and he really wasnt that good in the run game.

He probably gets the start if they sign C in FA. But if they decide to go with Bodine and sign a FA guard, my guess is Teller goes back to the bench.

And yet, his college stats were nothing to write home about.

In 2014, he was second on his team with 730 receiving yards  (# 8 in the SEC) and five TDs.   In 2015, he played only four games, catching 12 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.   That doesn't sound like a lot of experience against quality DBs, even if they were from the SEC...

His 2014 season was padded by a few cupcakes like Arkansas, Kansas State and Mississippi State, although he did have a good game against Alabama.

Kansas St finished 2014 ranked 18th.

Arkansas was 7-6 but only 2-6 in the SEC. Those two wins however were over LSU ranked #20, and Ole Miss ranked #8 at the time.  Add a 1 pt loss to #7 Alabama as well.  Mississippi St. was 10-3, 6-2 in SEC, and finished 11th in the AP poll and was ranked #1 overall at one point in the 2014 season.

The informed and more correct interpretation of his 2014 season would be he had his best games, many on the road, against some of the best teams in the country.

None of that means he can play in the NFL.

  7. No upside for cutting Clay.  Just keep him unless he retires. He is the best blocking TE on the team and probably can still catch 30 passes.

There is no good FA worth the money.  Use the cap space on OL and DL.  Draft OLB, TE, WR top 3 picks.

  8. Hogan has always been so overrated. But he did not get a single clean catchable ball in the SuperBowl.  Maybe that was him not getting separation, but Brady did him no favors either.  For as awful as Goff was, Brady was not much better.  The seam pass to Gronk was a good ball but even that one hung a little.  He put a few passes in the turf and the INT was a misread.

My conspiracy theory is that the belicheat/pats*** wanted the Rams over the Saints, so to make that happen, the refs let a blatant PI go that affected the outcome of the game.   Sets up a young inexperienced team vs the pats*** instead of an excellent veteran QB and head coach.  The Saints were robbed and have every right to be pissed.

Half the times edelman was open were due to his ability to push off and not get called for it.

You obviously did not watch the game. Edelman got open by design and quickness. The Rams did not get on him at the line. Most of his crossing routes came from the slot. He burnedeven their best corners with quickness and great route running.

There is nothing fictional about it.....GImore made a couple plays tonight that were legal...Made a couple plays that were illegal and also got burnt on plays that receivers didn't catch the ball..NOt a big deal.

    He's good.  that is all!

The only issue I had with todays game was that Goff went after Gilmore many times when usually the offensive plan is to stay away from him.

But Goff clearly showed his colours tonight .  He sucks...so who knows why he was throwing to where....

He’s much better than good. The greatest coach in NFL history thought he was great and signed him. But this board somehow is smarter.

And the refs don’t favor the Patriots.  They are just better. Better players. Better coaches.

Of course.  That's when the Tom Brady legend began.  They may have seven rings right now if Belichick doesn't hold Butler out for whatever reason againt the Eagles last year.  At least I don't have to hear about the first three-peat champions right now.

And only 5, if Pete Carroll lets Lynch run the ball.

I thought the first three Superbowls was more of a combination of the brilliance of Belichick and Brady.  Brady was more responsible for the Seahawks and Falcons, but Belichick was the main reason for this victory.  They made the high powered Rams look like the Derrick Anderson led Bills.

Yes the first Pats-Rams Superbowl is probably right behind the two I referenced.

Remember when Madden kept saying I can't beleive they are going for the win instead of playing for OT.

  13. Actually this was not the typical Belichick defensive gameplan.  He did that to KC by taking away Tyreek Hill. Belichick typically doesn't bring as much pressure as he did today.  He determined that LA had no skill player that could hurt them.  No tight end of RB out of the backfield.  So he blitzed and stunted an overmatched LA O-line and QB.

By mid second quarter Romo figured it out.  McVeigh should have gone no huddle to slow down the pass rush, rolled the pocket, called a middle screen, and maybe go amx protect and take a few shots deep.

LA probably wins if Goff makes any of three plays.  The deep middle shot to Cooks, hits the deep cross on 2nd and 20, or throws the INT ball 5 yards further downfield.

The Bills scored a point-a-minute in Super Bowl 25.  The problem was that they only had the ball for 19 minutes because the defense couldn't get off the field because of pathetic tackling and blown assignments.

Most overrated Bill of all time Darryl Talley crapped the bed multiple times in that game.
