This guy in limited highlights looks like he could be serviceable as punt/kick returner and out of the backfield creating possible mismatches on a lb. Pretty good YAC. We’ll see.
Another budget Beane move, we didn’t break the bank. He’s injury prone for sure, but still a capable talent. My guess is that we keep the pitch count down with him and insert when needed & hope for the best. He did play 14 games last year.
And yet our offense didn’t appear to be the issue last season as far as production.
This squad needs to shore up the defense!!! Better defense last season, they were probably SB bound.
As far as I can tell Palmer had a nice season in 2022 catching 72 balls for 769 yards but a knee injury slowed his progress in 2023. Looks like for whatever reason he was not a primary target or focus with Harbaugh in 2024.
Palmer’s young and has showed promise and potential.
Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery.
My Dad taught me years back, negotiating 101; if you’re a buyer start low you can always go up, if you’re selling start high, you can always go down. You almost always settle.
We’ll see I think he’ll be back & it won’t be a $15m.
You’re late to the party with that take, i posted it numerous times during the in game thread.
The staffs use of Cook bordered on incompetence imo.
And yet he wasn’t all that effective either… give the guy running all over the field, catching passes and scoring ….
I posted this ad nauseam during and after the game. I despised the game plan, especially the first half. Cook was completely underutilized. He was running and catching well!
I don’t know why we didn’t ride him more in this game.
It was also obvious to me that we had the sugar-high version of Josh to open the game. More running a few dinks to settle him down would have been appropriate.
I don’t know wtf we were doing. It was a winnable game. In fact I was underwhelmed with the last two games. Maybe more game prep and less interview prep we get a different outcome!
