  1. the over / under is 8 with today's roster based on how they exited the last quarter of the season; clearly it is 9 post-draft and FA as they are not losing anyone (other than Kyle) to FA this year who matters.  So its only gain in terms of next years roster vs the roster that performed well for the last 4 games.

I'd go play next years schedule with the current roster and probably win 8 games.  The only thing that happened bad this year was they needed about 3 or 4 more games to play....

Trust the Process.   Barring serious injuries to irreplaceable players like QB or half your o line  (which trashes any teams season) , next year is going to be great.

I can't remember when I last watched a Super Bowl halftime show. It's moot this year because I'm not even going to watch the game. After what happened to the Saints and with the Cheats involved, I have no interest at all. I'm looking forward to free agency and the draft.

    Agreed.

    Trust the Process.

I am all in on the Billies.

McBeanes are really building something real.   This is totally Bill-ievable now.

Well it’s 2 seasons down and I’m curious to know your thoughts on Sean McDermott as Bills HC.  I remember that McDermott’s approval rating was sky high after making their first playoff appearance in 17 years.

But after a 6-10 year do you still trust the process?  There has been some very negative comments about McDermott by members in this forums.

So let’s see Sean’s Approval rating as of now.

Trust the Process?   Now more than ever.

How many rookies can you have on a roster before the inexperience is detrimental to the team? This is a question I have when I see people advocating trading down for more picks.

more picks is always going to be good for a team that will always struggle in free agency.   the draft/locking guys up for 4-5 years is the key for a franchise in WNY

To draft a QB ahead of Denver.  Likely partners could be Miami, Cinci, Washington and Tenn.

Steelers,  NE and LA will need to draft one soon also. If they really like someone in this class, they may also bite.

nah, don't think so.  but hey , anything is possible

  6. Perhaps Robiske and Castillo being out and replaced by coaches better liked by potential free agent WRs and OL  is all part of the process.  Interesting how the coaches in charge of areas of greatest need in FA are let go and replaced well before free agency starts.   Trust the process.   McBeanes know what they are doing

Can't win with garbage human beings at critical positions and certainly can't win when the aholes take themselves out of the lineup. Selfishness is actually just a lack of maturity, which is unsurprising from a WR. Pretty hilarious the lack of humility from a 6th round pick from the MAC who is who he is because he has a QB to get him the ball. Classic ignorant arrogance. Hope Roethlisberger retires and that tool can't play the remainder of his career with some real bums at QB.

Love football, hate the NFL as an organization and I never root for players because of losers like this. Every week it's something with these immature babies.

Just another in a long list of players I root against and won't feel bad next time he gets lit up.

$$$.  root of all evil.  Give me Robert Foster.

Milano, White, Foster, T. Johnson and Jones aren't eligible this off-season for contract extensions.  Lawson isn't their "own guy" either. Poyer is signed through 2020 and Hyde through 2021.

I not sure i understand what "aren't eligible for extensions "means?  by contract?   They can't cut a 5 year contract with Tre White today?   I don't want that guy getting within 2 years of free agency..

Brandon Beane indicated that the Bills would be judicious in their approach to free agency this year and I think this is the right approach. They have "taken their medicine" and now have the ability to spend at will, but if they were to do that we would end up back in salary cap jail soon enough. The Bills just went through "bankruptcy" and their debts have mostly been discharged. Now what? Do you stick to a plan of spending wisely and staying in budget or do you go right back to overspending and put yourself in debt.

By all accounts, the 2019 free agent class lacks higher end talent and has limited depth. The market would indicate that average free agents will be significantly overpaid in such an environment. Some fans remember years ago when the Bills had some cap room and decided to spend a significant amount of it on Derrick Dockery and Langston Walker. This is an example of being desperate to just fill a hole and willing to pay much more than the player is warranted. A few bad contracts like that and we will be backed up against the wall on the cap in short order.

As it stands now, the Bills could be tempted to spend big on average talent but it is much better to take the judicious approach Beane has talked about. Players like Hughes and Mccoy will be free agents after the 2019 season. They will have to be resigned or replaced. Those are easier decisions given their age but what about players like Dion Dawkins, Matt Millano and even Zay Jones. They have 2 years left before they hit free agency. Jordan Poyer also has 2 years left before his contract expires and what about a big ticket player like Tre White. A decision will have to be made on him after the 2019 season as to give him the 5th year option. It's around this time that extension talks will begin to avoid the franchise tag. I'd like the Bills to roll over some of the cap savings rather than foolishly spend it on average talent this year. The Bills have an opportunity to keep the space and begin signing and rewarding their own talent. Talent that fits with the locker room and schemes we run. I believe this is what Beane has in mind so let's hope he is able to remain diligent and execute this vision.

totally agree.  re sign our own guys now.. don't wait until their contract expires , their agents will pull them out of Buffalo in a heartbeat.  Its happened too many times in past to count.

The night before our last regular season game and reality is starting to set in. Tomorrow will be the last bills game until September 2019.

While there's some excitement in the off season with the draft and free agency, it's nothing like the regular season. It's also a bit depressing, that not only is it the end for the bills, but the end of the regular season in general. Playoffs are always fun and exciting, but no more Sundays sitting on the couch from 1pm until 11pm(or whenever I decide to go to bed) watching football. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not ready to wait 9 months to see more Allen. Bummer. Will enjoy tomorrow as much as possible

you perhaps should develop some other things to do with your time

Here's what I think the cost of each FA will be for 2019

    Alexander 4 million

    Phillips - 3.5 Million

    Mills 2.5 Million

    Paradies - 9 Million

    Willians - 8 Million

    Foster - 7 Million

    Tyrell Williams - 10 million

    Yeldon - 5 Million

    James - 5 Million

    Barr - 12 Million

66 Million in 2019 Cap Space with 91 Million Cap Space

    Plenty to make these moves"

you need to figure in both the competitive premium plus the  "buffalo premium" required to offset most players natural reluctance to come to this place.   so add 40% to 50% to all these numbers,  a greater premium than that required to get over the hill Mario Williams to sign

As regards the Jests having more cap space than us, well they certainly do. Thing is, they have a lot less guys already under contract for next year, so we may well be in a better position than them.

Lets see... I'm a single milliionaire rock star professional athlete in my mid 20's.   I am choosing between NYC and WNY.   All else being equal, I'm going to NYC.

My guess is the Bills can get their O Line fixed in free agency to some degree as those guys are family types who may not care about the big city.  Skill positions?    Probably coming in the draft as draftees are stuck with the team that drafted them.
