KC just too damn good. faster, bigger , stronger, smarter. But in fairness they do this to everyone.

anyone have the lineup of "expert talking heads" game picks? Everything I've heard seems to indicate its at least 2 to 1 Chiefs. Good underdog fodder. Go Bills. This is perfect.

Remember when EJ Manuel "threw" Watkins into that ankle injury in the end zone? I was a bad throw, but come on man, Watkins was so brittle. So good to have traded him away to another team who can deal with that.

Agree. My view is that the Bills should light 'em up on Sunday, because KC will be doing the same thing. Shootout city coming (depending on the weather, which could change everything, but I digress.... )

Could be a family decision moreso than anything else. I doubt his family moved from New England (his wife is from there and he has three kids under 10) to, um, Detroit. Just a thought.

It underscores what we’ve been saying - the next hard part starts now (first hard part was getting a QB). Once Allen gets paid, they have to become more efficient at drafting and pro personnel. They’ve been good there - but they’ll need to be better than good if they want to stack rings. It’s so hard - the Saints have drafted so well and they won only once with Brees. You’ve got to really hit it out of the park in rounding out the roster when your QB is on a max deal.
IF they can get Josh to agree to have his new deal start after his 5th year, then their "SB window" with this roster lasts two more years (and gets you two more drafts to add talent). That is what you want; I do not know what is happening with his deal, but I believe pushing the giant cap hit out two years is possible. If anyone gets wind of what Josh's deal is looking like from this perspective, sing out. If the Giant Cap Hit is next year, then keeping this really cool team together is likely not possible.

If KC is healthy and it does not rain cats and dogs (which is the prediction), Bills will need to put up high 30's to come out on top. I'm thinkin 41 - 35 KC. Its all about who can get 3 or 4 stops. On a sloppy track with both teams healthy, KC for sure.
My heart says Bills, but my head says KC. We shall see. Go Bills ! Make me a liar.

I don't have anything against Marrone.
He had a contractual benefit that he used. He wanted the organization to join the 21st century and be rid of the clowns in brandon and whaley. He was right
Completely agree. Marrone called B-llSh-t on the situation, got no answer and pulled the ripcord and got out of disfunction city. My respect for him went up a few notches for having the brains to see the disfunction and put the opt out clause in his contract.

I need them to re-show the wildcard win over the Colts - it wasn't on my DVR when I returned from Hawaii
I'm sure both games will be replaying this week

He is the glue that holds the line together.
Dawkins, WIlliams and Mungo have been stellar all year. But Morse and Winters were the weak link. Once he moved in alongside Morse, suddenly the middle of the OL has looked so so solid. He has made Morse better no doubt. Allen has had all day to throw.
I'd keep all of em. Continuity is good on the Oline. And Ford will have a role when he returns since the Oline is always vulnerable to injuries.
If the Bills break the bank on Josh now, pretty sure can't keep them all. We need some cap space analysis on this board stat. Does anyone know what Beane is up against if he has to spend $40m of his cap on Allen next year? That is the real issue here.. cap management. This will be by far the largest off season issue.. how much of this roster can be kept?

Really depends to some degree on who they look to lose in FA . Its all about pass and defend the pass in this league, so pass rushers and O LIne could be key in the 1st for the Bills, depending on if Daryl Williams or Matt Milano are cap casualties, for example, due to Josh's monster contract trashing the Bills salary cap.
Running backs are pretty much a dime a dozen in todays NFL. Especially for this team.

Not a fan. No idea where it came from. But who cares, NFL fandom has become a bit of a circus show anyway. I focus on the game, not the fans.

Disagree. I say light 'em up. They'll be doing it to us. Time to take the gloves off.

Yeah, I'm a hundred years old so I remember it all. Bills were The Power in the AFC in the early 90's, plus the AFC was pretty weak at that time. So the Bills would blow through lighter-weight AFC teams (Phins, Raiders, Oilers, Chiefs) in the conference playoffs and then collide with bigger, stronger NFC teams with just as much firepower and meet their match. Eg. Redskins simply overpowered the Bills in the second of the 4 SBs.. wasn't. even a game. Parcells simply outcoached Levy in the first, played keepaway and won. Both of the Dallas games were won bc Bills turned the ball over like crazy and the Cowboys were bigger, stronger and beat up the Bills. The rules were different at the time and you could blow up WRs on crossing routes, etc. and the NFC teams did this. An oversimplification, for sure, go watch the games on YouTube, pretty interesting.
Anyway, today's game is more like a game of flag FB than is was then. Quickness and speed win out ultimately over big and bad. So Chiefs/Bills likely to be more of track meet than the last Bills/Chiefs. If Mahomes is 100%, this game will be great.

Excellent stuff Shaw, and thanks.
It seemed to take the broadcast commentators, a long time to figure out the wind was a problem, yet you could clearly see the flags were horizontal.
All part of the drought. Broadcasters haven't been in the stadium in Dec/Jan for 20 years. You forget. For all of us current or (me) former season ticket holders, every one knows the wind mostly roars from left to right the entire game, more and more the later in the season you get. I was explaining to my 20-something son how it works and by the end of the 3rd Q, he's like ".. righhhtttt, I get it now). Allen over throws by 10 yards going left to right, same thing for the Balt backup guy.. those were probably good balls without the wind. I've seen well struck right to left FG attempts miss for 40 years in that place in Dec/Jan. Bass expected his kick to get pushed right to left as it should have, but the wind laid down just when he hit it and it went straight. poor kickers.

TL,DR
Lookin like a team of destiny. Can't see 'em gettin past the Chiefs, but I've said that about 3 times this year and been wrong each time. Go Bills. Just enjoyin the ride at this point in the Process.

Still hard to imagine we get past the Chiefs, but hey they were not favored by most to get past the Ravens either. They were one near turnover from getting back into the last KC game. They will compete, that is for sure. go Bills.

I have never seen such roster moves in my life. Our coach and GM were pulling guys off the bench I'd never seen all season, and adjusted our D to stop their O.... Better than I have ever seen.
And wow is our team well coached. They are prepped for and executing in every single scenario. This is a SB team. I just hope we pull it off.
This is what sticking to the process of constant roster building and playing who is playing the best get you. The wins just happen.
