I agree. The only way to get the under 40s vaccinated is to provide an incentive. If some grandma dies of Covid bc of transmission from someone at a Bills game, Poloncarz wants no part of that I would assume, and that makes political sense I suppose.
The alternative I suppose is no fans at all until Covid is eliminated. Which will never happen,BTW (elimination of Covid). So, ....

Bills at Chiefs would be an awesome opening Sunday night game. Somehow the league will mess this up though and give this a 1PM time slot so they can schedule the Giants at the Cowboys instead. You know because that game is more important
its because Giants/Cowboys will draw about 5x the audience given the size of those fanbases. its all about the ad revenue and eyeballs my friend

there’ll be plenty on Stubhub and such if you miss out on the public onsale. Home opener will probably be more expensive than your standard year however, but aftermarket for the October games will likely be a little more reasonable. Plus, there’s always the ticket subforum on here...
ticket subforum? hmm. interesting

the home opener will be just electric this year... a normal 1pm start would be great against an AFC East opponent. Nice , full stadium. Magic , really. I kind of hope they open up on the road in some kind of road game to make the media happy, but come back for a traditional 1pm start at OP. Just sayin'. . I need to figure out how to get to a game in Sept or Oct. Haven't been in 5-6 years. any ideas?

that is a horrible conclusion you have there. A domed stadium will bring in way more revenue then just a bills game. Way more revenue then the current stadium from other events. If you build it they will come. We almost had a MLB team come here but not enough seats. You could create a dual purpose situation at the hopes of bringing other things then just football.
Just my opinion based on a set of market realities; revenue outside football won't be meaningful, or very relevant to what the PSL or ticket prices will be. new stadium, new pricing. simple as that.
MLB isn't coming and really big events likely will not generate meaningful revenue from such a small market , plus wrecking the football sightlines with a multi sport stadium won't happen.
A $billion stadium cannot possibly be a smart investment. Go the Lambeau route, just make what's there better. Keep the vibe, its what makes the fan/player/community experience what it is.
40 minutes ago, Greg S said:My PSL fee $5000 per seat ( I have 2 seats) which I am paying over 10 years ( $1000 per year) isn't close to being the most expensive. My seats are lower level (row 3) directly behind the goalpost. If you have seats lower level on the 50 you are looking at 50,000 PSL fee per seat as the most expensive. These seats go to corporations or extremely rich people. Buffalo is a different market than NYC/NJ so I doubt the Pegula's could charge what the Jets-Giants do but the cost will still go up bigtime. For Bills ticket holders enjoy the current stadium at decent prices for as long as possible.
even if Bills numbers are half of that, it is insanely expensive for 3/4 of the seats.. and I am sure all kinds of other events are held in the meadowlands to "offset" the costs (haha)

New stadiums aren't always better. As a long time Jets season ticket holder( I am a Bills fan though) I prefer Giants Stadium over MetLife. The only advantage MetLife offers is wider concourses and trips to the bathroom go much faster. That's it. What I was paying for at Giants Stadium was $1700 for everything. At MetLife its $3700 for everything including PSL fee. You know how they say **** runs down hill. Guess who is at the bottom of the hill. The Johnson's and the Mara's aren't paying for MetLife and the Pegula's won't be paying for a new stadium either.
so $3,700/8.5 home games per year (ignore preseason; they are joke) comes out to over $400 per game per seat? that is crazy expensive. that is what Bills fans will have to look forward to. So for a family of 4, that's almost $2,000 per game. No thanks.

Renovate the Ralph. A billion dollar stadium will drive ticket prices sky high and bring PSLs into the picture. the area cannot afford that, the whole vibe will change forever

Putting scrapbooks together of newspaper stories/photos in the late 60's (the Dan Darragh/Max Anderson/Dennis Shaw years)... in those marbly stiff black and white notebooks, scotch tape and newspaper articles..hand written captions. I barely remember them. I was maybe 11 or 12. Is that crazy or what?

Fins will be very good for many years to come. they are playing it smart.
No chasing shiny FA objects. if they draft well (and they have a good draft history) they will be right there for years.
AFC will be very very competitive ... Jets have a real coach now, will have a good QB, and have many pieces already. Pats get all their Covid guys back, plus added a pile of FAs, so they will come flying back as well.
Nothing will be easy in the AFCE. Last year is not a predictor of this year. Should be fun to watch. Go bills

I pay little attention to football in the offseason. so many other things to do. besides I've learned that every season stands on its own and maintaining a highly competitive roster year after year, solid coaching is what you want, then the season plays out how it plays out. Knowing the team will be highly competitive in every game no matter the opponent is what feels good to me. the wins just happen when you follow that process

I see tuas ceiling as top 15 being generous while joshs ceiling is 1. So, we will always be significantly better than them until they move on from tua.
"I see tuas ceiling as top 15 "
you guys were saying that about Josh after his rookie year as well

I think teams will sign their own. I don't believe teams will wait once they see the cap number. they will pre empt the process and grab the 1 year deal guys they like.

starting to wonder if Beane actually will draft Etienne if he falls to 30

This is a signing that has nothing but upside. Totally for this instead of an old ass Kerrigan/Addison type. Oh, and guess what? This guy would of led the Bills in sacks last year.
" would of led the Bills in sacks last year. " nuf said. good signing!

Clowney is reportedly a locker room cancer. Hard pass. This ain't Madden or Fantasy football, boys.
Grow your own. As said above: "Like @Rc2catch said above, our best hope is that Epenesa and Oliver take the next step in their development. Fortunately, I believe Star's return should help Oliver a lot in that regard and AJ will have his first NFL offseason/training camp to develop and figure out his playing weight."

dunno, with the Hollister/Allen combo (Wyoming) and the Sanders/Beasley connection (SMU) can we call the Buffalo Bill (Cody)'s pass game "Mustangs and Cowboys"?! It's all coming together.. go bills

Over the 2nd half of the season, it became increasingly apparent that Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL. If we ever get a running game....
balance, shmalance, its a passing league. light 'em up. the Bills bread and butter , their "fastball", as McD puts it, is the pass game.
We gonna call this pass game "Cowboys and Mustangs" !

Nice. The issue isn’t that he can’t create the space - the biggest issue that there is still uncertainty in the Cap levels for the next 2 years before the new media package takes place. He is being smart and saving it unless the perfect player or trade lines up that could really help ensure the future of the team.
The NFL has nearly 30 million in lost cap space per team to recoup after this year. The Cap would have dropped into the 150 million range and instead they agreed to 183. No one know exactly how much of the CAP will be pulled from next year after the pandemic to start to balance out the lost revenue.
If you make a general assumption that the Cap would have risen to the expected levels for this year - that would put the Cap at 212 million and if they recollect all 30 million lost - the Cap could stay flat at 182/183 million and the teams that kicked a bunch into next year suddenly have a lot more kicking to do.
If they split it over 2 years - the Cap could be 195 and basically back to what it was before the pandemic. This is all assuming that everything in stadium returns to normal. If there are issues and stadiums are reduced - that Cap could shrink. With the additional regular season game the Cap could rise - although they are losing a preseason game - which was free revenue.
The other issue is with our current roster - unless The Cap goes up toward 215 million - we are already getting up against it for next year and he has Josh and Edmunds contracts to deal with - both 5th year options that will get exercised. He will be using the restructures next year to gain the space and if he uses them this year - he already kicked some into next year and has to kick even more into the following year.
He is not afraid to do it, but eventually kicking the bonuses and salary forward gets you hamstrung until 2024 and the new media that will blow up the current Cap level and start things resetting. Don’t blow it all this year and make it hard to do things next year and cost yourself a shot in FA next year.
Beane is not just looking at 2021 - he is planning 2022 and 2023 to ensure he can keep the team together, improve it, and most important bring home a championship without losing your core.
"Beane is not just looking at 2021 - he is planning 2022 and 2023 to ensure he can keep the team together, improve it, and most important bring home a championship without losing your core." --- Agree, he is not going chase shiny objects and put himself in cap hell... he's just not going to do it... for example , he would trade a # 1 for Diggs, but would never give Golladay the deal the Giants just game him, just won't do it.. and the fan base needs to support that decision... go bills

He's certainly a good player. I don't really know what led to them trying to trade him/cutting him so I'd want to know what that's all about but assuming there's no major issue there, I wouldn't be surprised if he's out of our price range. If he's willing to take like $4 mil or less, I'd probably be interested.
never know.. lotta guys taking 1 year low price deals just to get to 2022

Pretty sure McBeanes will stick to their 3 year old process of continually improvjng the roster, position group by position group and position by position. Great example is punter. Did they really need to dump Corey B? No. But they found a guy more consistent with inside the 20 kicks .. marginally better.. so they swapped out for him. This is what the process is. They resist single shiny overpriced objects in favor of multiple incremental improvements.
Love it. Trust it.

Broncos were a pretty weak, beat up team when the Bills played them....especially on defense. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in analytics of that game. Now Josh's game winning (shb) drive against a solid Az. secondary, now that was impressive.
Just sayin'

Not sure on this. All I can say for sure is that for the first time in at least 20 years, I can say definitively, in April, that the Bills will be more than competitive against every team they play this coming season. No doubt. Not a team on the schedule that is an L. Nope. that feels amazing.
