Combined. The new bill has it 3500 for a 5 MPG change and 4500 for a 10 MPG change. Also, no cars older that 25 years and the car must have been registered and insured by you for the previous year in order to qualify. So no going to buy a clunker from the junk yard and trading in.

What I don't like is that they changed it so it applies only to cars/suv's that get less than 18 MPG. Originally it was written to upgrade any older vehicle that as long as the new car got 6 mpg or more per gallon. But with the change in wording, I can't use it.

Again, he is very similar to Mark Warner as that is how I see him. I guess you can get worse. Like I said Moran is an idiot and the other guy is supposed to appeal to the non-DC area folks. I know nothing about the other guy. he's supposed to be some suothern VA/SW Va politician that might appeal to those away from the beltway. Moran is a moron. He is related to Jom Moran (brother), the local criminal Alexandria mayor who ran for congress from jail and won. the same Jim Moran who beat a kid up in his sons day car because the kid said he liked his car and Moran felt threatened. The Moran family has gone off the reservation on double dealing and crookednmess so often they make Murtha look squeaky clean. Mcaullife will likely win. He is a business guy and is probably the most likeable by the populated area. I liken him to Warner. Typical says one thing, does another hypocrite.

I still disagree with the original premise however. I think it's a cop out and just another excuse for people to tear down religion first and the majority second. Too mnay people have heard it so much from the media that they believe it, even if it's not true. I mean give me a break, this country elected a black man with a pretty good majority. Blacks are only maybe 13% of the country, the rest of those votes came from somewhere. Certainly a large percent of those Christians who make up about 75% percent of this country must have voted for him. Racism is gone and has been gone for a while. Sure there are small pockets everywhere, but that goes both ways. Black to white, black to korean, white to black, white to asian,, etc.... that will always exist, but the percent of people truely racist is minor and the last election proved it. Cetainly not enough to sway anything except local electioons. And then it goes both ways, look at DC vs. say Utah.
