Actually almost any TE will look bad against a DLineman. Typically a TE well called to block is either going against a LB or helping chip on a DL. Rarely and especially in a power rush situation will a TE take a DL on 1 on 1. IMHO, that is more of either a missed block that Royals wasn't expected to take alone (hence read tackle f'ed up) or a bad blocking scheme by the coach. Also, wasn't Wimebly a 1st rounder?

Ummmm.... Why does one indivdual have to take the blame? Most of the blame sits squarely on the idots who were told time and again to get the hell out of there. Yet they stayed because they didn't want to leave their home, pet, favorite chia pet plate, whatever. Or they stuck around to loot. Ed, if you go to disney stay at the grand floridian, at the consierge (suite level). It really is about double what you would stay at the cheaper places and trust me it is f-c-ing amazing. The food, the service, etc.... Top notch.

I tend to agree to a point, only because of the hype and jaw jacking that he does. Just think back however to our previous guy, and I see someone who catches better, at least tries to block, and actually goes into passing patterns on occassion. The previous guy couldn't/wouldn't block and rarely set himself up to catch or even try to get open.

I think the defense made some mistakes but overall they played real well. I think you are heaping too much glory on the offense however. Yes it is the best they have looked all preseason, however the starters only scored 10 in 2 1/2 quarters. You don't win a lot with so few points. Second the oline is terrible which is a credit to JP. Mcgahee didn't do a lot. Too be honest we have to remember this is Cleveland who is also not a very good team. So I take the good with the bad and realize that we have a long way to go, but some players started to shine last night and others basically will be replaced as time permits. Afterall it is tough to revamp and entire team in one offseason.
