I seem to remember a lot of those reports on Losmna as well last year. How did that work out. He was worse than terrible, but even I admitted he should have started the whole year even if Holcomb was better.

No, what I said was is that Bennie was probably our best lineman the last 5 games of the year. I also said Peters did okay for what he was but he wasn't the all pro that every thought. He was barely adequate at best which for our line was pretty good. I agree Chris V sucks, but right now he is the best option we got at his position unless Gibson steps it up and keeps the weight off. Last year, Holcomb was by far our best QB. Right now Losman is, however, Losman still sucks. He is still making bonehead plays, inaccurate, throws off the back foot, etc... This has been commented on by several other people including Mikes writeup from last nights camp. But that said, with Gibson weight it is unlikely he can play RT, but Peters right now has digressed from last year and absolutely sucks. Stats don't tell the whole story, and he is get beat in every aspect of the game right now by both first and second stringers.

Not exactly sure why Gibson was brought in. However I hate to admit, but Peters has been terrible in the preseason, and more than just against Peppers. I understand that he is relatively new but it is his third year. He has to show something. Right now he has digressed tremendously from last year and last year he wasn't that hot, just adequate. Which for us meant he was one of our best. He has been beaten with speed, power and moves. So it isn't just footwork killing him, he has been almost non-chalant IMHO. Not sure what it is, but it seems like he almost doesn't care at times.

Even by that !@#$ed up reasoning, then consider at best they played 1/2 a game each game. Although we know it was less. That works out to 3 sacks a game which is 48 sacks on the year. Sorry by any calculation that's bad. Add to that, Cincys defense isn't one of the top 20 in the NFL doesn't help.

And there always seem to be an excuse. Sometimes you have to overcome, and that my friend has been our problem. A poor offense and a defense that cannot no longer recover from those bad positions. Well there are some good things coming from tonight. It looks like Evans can get open, it looks like Losman can at times make the throws, and Willis has the speed back. Kyle Williams seems to be able to hold his own on short yardage.

Allowing scoring on 3 out of 7 drives, and only a missed FG prevent 4 out of 7 is not the way to win games in defense.

And besides the four good plays on the run by Willis, and three passes over 20 yards it's a pretty sad performance. Actually what you want to see is the ability to stop your opponent, and actually sustain a drive. We have done neither.

From the stats it looks like all the sacks are coming from Gandy's side. Is he or Reyes getting scorched?
