  1. Play was still in progress, not a deadball foul. It's a spot foul and then the penalty. That is the result of the play, which made it 3-2.
  2. As I said, he had one really good gap fill early, and smacked Marouny, but he was non-existant otherwise. In fact he was getting beat in the passing game, which is supposed to be his specialty.
  3. I didn't see that block either. I am still wondering about the stopping of that play.
  4. The safeties got worked a lot in the 4th quarter on those long TE seam routes. That helped NE run the clock. In addition to our inability to stop the run.
  5. Okay. Thats fine. But neither is the other.
  6. I guess you didn't read what I have said. Overall Losman played okay in the first half. However, his accurracy was off on at least three plays where his players saved his ass. In addition, there was at least 3 other throws that he threw short or long that could have been more accurrate. Am I looking for perfection. NO. But the mishandling of the ball and the awareness of the endzone are bonehead plays. Other then that he did well. But he didn't do a thing to help us win, and he did minimize the mistakes over last year.
  7. Not unless he adds 20 pounds and doesn't get juked out of his jockstrap.
  8. Crowell, other then one good gap fill play, he was non-existant today. Plus he got burned in what is the main reason he's on the field. Pass coverage and speed.
  9. It was nice to see Witner get the pick. But overall they got worked by the TE's and were a non-factor in run support. Overall they looked like rookies and have a long way to go.
  10. Umm.. did you actually watch the game. If it wasn't for Reed having two pretty darn good catches, and Mcgahee really dancing on one play that would have been about 60 yards less and 2 less completions. He really wasn't that good today. But he wasn't horrible either. Also, he needs to hang onto the ball with two hands on the fakes or not get it so close to Shelton. That is his fault. The bad snap, so what. That explains one of the half dozen mishandles. Also he needs to step up on the endzone play instead of taking that sack for 2.
  11. Yeah dropping the ball a half dozen times, and poor accurracy helped a lot also. I don't blame Losman more then I do several others but he didn't do anything to help the cause today.
  12. Why? Royal did have an illegal block right in front of two refs, where the play was happening. Good call. Mcgahees knee was down. Actually bad spot for NE, it wasn't even that close. Good spot overall for the refs. I didn't see the illegal block on the Pick, but several folks said it was. Again good call refs. Only blowing it dead was fishy. Overall they did an okay job calling it correctly.
  13. What game did you watch. It happen just before the guy was tackling Price.
  14. Because he should have been cut and Gates kept.
  15. Losman looked okay for a most of the first half. However he still has the old looking good for a quarter syndrom. He struggled holding onto the ball all day, and really had poor accurracy on numerous balls. Reed saved him on a couple, and Mcgahee because of the great RAC saved him on a poor screen pass. Overall he looked better then last year, but he still has a llllloooooonnnnngggg way to go.
  16. It was an illegal block, right where the play was happening and right in front of 2 refs. That isn't why we lost the game. we couldn't stop the run, period. Our LBers on the edge couldn't get off blocks, fill the holes, and the safties were all terrible in supporting the run today. Period. On top of that the DL wasn't containing the blockers to keep them off the LBers. It was a team effort to lose.
  17. I saw at least 2 missed tackles on that play before it even got to the 3rd level. And the fact that a player gets juked by a rb in open field happens.
  18. Yeah after all the other 7 guys that got juked on that play don't count. Just wire.
  19. Homemade wings, and a Kirkland pizza that I picked up from Costco yesterday. Looked pretty good, we'll see.
  20. Depends on the TE. Now NE has several good ones, and believe it our not these guys are good because they beat most Safeties in the league in coverage. It isn't just Wire. What you want is him to keep stuff in front and look for the LB's to get underneath. Just remember with a TE sitting down, it is as much the LB as the safety.
  21. It always amazes me when we the fans think we know more then the coaches. Granted with meathead that probably was true, but as it has been said before, Wire has been retained by his 3rd coach now and that coach has enough confidence to start him. In fact so did his first coach, who has turned out to be a pretty good defensive coach in the league. I'll take their judgement.
  22. Put a little olive oil on the backing pan first. Don't know why but it makes them taste a little better. And no you can get "truely" crispy wings from frying, but you can get some pretty decent ones. I usually go at 425 for just over an hour. Better then most of the local wings places, just a pain in the ass to clean up, prepare, etc....
  23. Right or Wrong, he is the president who pushed through education reform for the first time in 50+ years. Something badly needed. Is NCLB the best thing ever, no, but it is a better implementation then the giving of funds to schools with no oversight or control and no criteria for keeping that funding. Now schools have to teach at least some basics and teachers have to be qualified.
  24. No, No, No..... Bush heard from this board that the "good democrats" had found out his plan and backed off a little. After all it is he and evil haliburton that control oil. Don't you know anything?
  25. What has Randy Moss done in a couple of years? What about Owens? How can you even compare? Also, not sure I agree that Ward is a 2nd tier. He's pretty damn great, good attitude and catches everything thrown his way.
