  1. because Al Gore want to sell snake oil solutions, not start a moving company. Much more money in spreadsheets and charts vs. actually working for a living.
  2. Money, and a chance to plug 3-4 obvious weaknesses, vs. keeping one questionable player with motivation and injury issues
  3. exactly. But when you have 5 holes and one player who acts like a spoiled 2 year old want 13.5 million per. And you could plug 3-4 holes with that same money, let me see what would I do??????
  4. Really, hmmm. Lets see the steelers lost, Alan Faneca. How'd they do again this year?
  5. So when did 7-9 become successful?
  6. Trent Edwards? He outplayed that super star first rounder. You knows what's sad about that? Edwards didn't play that good, which means.
  7. Bill, I disagree. If we create a hole at LT but fill the hole at LG, DE, LB and find a servicable LT then we have to do it. 13.5 million a year is more than Ralph will be happy with and he 'll just get cheap and not plug those other holes. If you're running a West Coast style offense the quick hitter and easy reads are what you need and your not going to get pressure off the edge in that style offense. So a super star LT (which you and I disagree that peters is) will not be required.
  8. Well we disagree. because i think if you overpay and way overpay for one position to someone who has shown he cares more about his status in the checkbook, then you do more damage to the team. If you can get a servicable LT, upgrade the interior of the line and get a pass rusing LB and DE, basically for the same money you would have for that selfish and mediocre playing LT at best, then you do it. Think about it. For the 13.5 million per year he wants you can get a good LG at 4 mill, a serviceable LT at 4 mill, a rookie DE at 4 million and a vet pass rushing LB at 1.5-2 million for the same cost, why wouldn't you.
  9. SO the Arizona Qb was hampered so much he only threw for close to 400 yards, 3 TD's IN THE SUPER BOWL, AGAINST PROBABLY THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE, but that Gandy guy was the reason Arizona lost. Wow, I wish our left tackle let players harrass our Qb's enough to get 400 yards per game. Do you even read what you write?
  10. No it wouldn't have. And abused you mean the only 2 sacks coming from a blitzing LB that wasn't Gandys responsibility?
  11. No they didn't. They lost it because of a great catch by the Pitts WR.
  12. Folks, neither Super Bowl team had a pro bowl LT. Who cares?
  13. You mean like when Trent fumbled the ball to give the Jets the victory. That Trent he is so stupid.
  14. Fitz and Johnson are by themselves better than any combo of WR's in the NFL. The fact this list starts Houstons combo at 6 tells you about how valid this list is. As the previous poster said, how's about we wait and see.
  15. Or sounding like a 6 year old girl when giving the play in the huddle.
  16. EIO, I can't remember where I read it, but recently they were saying while the one shelf in Anarctica is losing ice/calving, the other side is experiencing tremendous ice growth. This is where there are issues with the whole scientific everyone must agree with global warming. I don't know if it's conclusive or not, and I certainly don't know if man has any impact whatsoever. but the fact is what you brought up and the growing of ice shelves on the other side of anarctica points more towards of a shifting of the caps slightly rather than a overall global warming. If you could find a true independant set of research, it'd be better but too many are paid flunkies of the like of Al Gore who has experienced great personal gain in the amount of hundred of millions to their bank accounts. I think that the whole scientific community for the most part is a farse only giving the answers that will benefit them and their continued research.
  17. No I wouldn't. I don't go around asking guys for blow jobs. But you're into that so I guess you know all the hot spots.
  18. Can we please add a vet TE, pass rushing OLB, and another guard at least? Maybe a SS?
  19. Even the Bledsoe trade generated a a huge fan rally. This is small in comparision to some of the past signings.
  20. He's actually had dropsies issues for 2 seasons. My point was the guy does run all the routes including crossing patterns. Een if he drops a few it keeps him covered and the #1 Wr we haven't had since Moulds left. if it leaves a safety locked down and gets Evans open over top more often then this is a good pickup. It will help Evans who shown he has some serious flaws in his game. It will also help Hardy maybe learn to play the position the way it is supposed to be. A lot depends on Edwards arm and whether he can get it there or not.
  21. from scout.com: Last year was his 12th year in the league. He is a very good athlete with a great combination of size, strength and speed. He is effective on all types of routes. He has quick feet to avoid jams with good strength and hand use to deal with physical jams. He has very good speed and strength in the route stem and does not get bumped off his route easily. He does a good job getting in and out of breaks for his size. He can sink his hips to create separation. He's a crafty veteran who knows how to use his hands to push off when defensive backs sit at the top of routes. He has good speed to get vertical and he does a good job of tracking the deep ball and making over the shoulder adjustments. Owens has good awareness for the down markers to convert and move the chains. He has confidence in his strength to make the tough catch versus tight coverage. He doesn't always work back to the ball, but has good timing with the quarterback to utilize the separation at the top of comebacks. He shows very good body control to adjust. He can make hand and body adjustments look easy. He does a very good job of getting his feet down inbounds along the sideline and at the back of the end zone. He has long arms to make the tough catch outside the frame showing good concentration and ability to pluck. He will have streaks where his concentration can be suspect, but he rebounds at some point to make big plays. After the catch, he can avoid using quickness or use his strength to shake off tackles. He has good speed to finish, if he catches the ball in space. He does a very good job in the red zone because of his size and ability to adjust quickly to coverage. He and Tony Romo have a good understanding of how the other is going to react to defenses
  22. No cincy has more talent surrounding Coles than Buffalo would have.
  23. It's the first time we've had a complete WR since Moulds left. Enough of these smurfs and their sideline patterns (except Josh Reed who gets hurt). We need a complete WR who can run all the routes.
  24. Screw that lard butt. Two teams went to the Super Bowl without a pro bowl "farce" LT.
