  1. Teams are only allowed 20 visits, so I doubt they would waste them to smokescreen. They are probably bringing in players that they really want and will e v a l signing capability and fit within the squad.
  2. Really? How many players have come out in support if him during his holdout? Even this offseason? When Evans was renegociating, there were players calling for it. When Losman was benched you have Evans at least complaining about it. I haven't seen anyone saying they think Peters is worth the 13 million and come out in support of him and his bloated contract
  3. Again, did you read what I said? What if it's Detroit, Cincy, Houston, Washington...? You're looking at the same group of quality team that the Bills have over that same timeframe. You're assuming it's only the Eagles. You're also assuming he won't give them a discount because te are a better squad. So if they send him to the eagles and he signs for the 8.5 million the Bills are offering currently what does that say? It says he doesn't like Buffalo.
  4. Why? Because you say so? What if its Detroit, Houston, Washington, Cincy, etc? You know the other bumbling teams like the Bills. Your argument ispretty inane. Just because someone is willing to pay huge bucks and a 1st round draft pick doesn't mean they are better evaluators, it means they are more desperate, stupid, or possibly better evaluators. But a trade doesn't automatically mean they are.
  5. SI Profile: BIO: Two-year starter and second-team all-conference selection as a junior after catching 21/218/4. Finished his sophomore season with 4/37/0 after spending the first half of his freshman campaign as a reserve defensive lineman. POSITIVES: Large, athletic tight end that stands out on the field. Blocks with leverage, strength and turns defenders from the play. Annihilates linebackers on the second level, gets movement from run blocks and effective when he stays with the action. Fluid releasing off the line into pass routes, runs well and displays soft hands. Gets vertical for the reception and makes the difficult catch in contorted positions. NEGATIVES: Not quick off the snap or explosive into blocks. Gets lazy and leans on opponents rather than blocking them. Lets the pass get into his frame. Not overly alert or a prospect that shows great wherewithal. ANALYSIS: A physical specimen with great natural gifts, Peters has the skills to be a dominant and complete tight end if not a very athletic left tackle. Will have trouble playing a position at 320 pounds and must shed weight but a prospect with a large upside. PROJECTION: Early Fourth Round THE HUDDLE REPORT: THE HUDDLE REPORT Jason Peters TE Arkansas Strengths Jason has very good size for his position and excellent speed. He has good hands and does well at the college level in the blocking game. Jason might be able to be used as an extra O-lineman in injury situations. He has excellent athletic talent for a kid his size, or any size for that matter. Needs to Improve Jason is overweight and immature. The scout’s politically correct word for this is “underachiever”. Bottom Line I bet some scout or coach is going to think that they can make this kid a left tackle because of his size and athletic talent. It’s just not going to happen. At this stage of his career, he doesn’t have the mental toughness to play that position or he just doesn’t want to. If he did, he would have played the LT position in college. Let’s face it, with this kid’s size and athletic talent, we should be talking about him as a first round pick, but we aren’t. Why? I’m mean really! He is big, tall, strong, can block, has good hands, is 320 lbs, and can run a 4.80 to a 4.90 in the forty. Someone please tell me why he would not be considered a first rounder! When you see this kid on the field and you watch somebody on the other team try to tackle him, it’s a joke. Is Jason still growing or is he just eating himself out of his potential? The big question is ‘When do you take this kid?’ There is a big difference between 3rd round money and 4th round money. Do you move to the dark side and take him in the third round - or earlier? This kid for me is normally a 4th rounder, but even I am tempted to be drawn to the dark side and take him in the third. He has tremendous potential and he is a good kid. Yes, he has a lot to learn, but does he have the work ethic to learn it? I say NO. NO to the third round and no to the dark side for me… it’s the 4th rd or nothing at all. I think!
  6. He is asking for 13.5 but in the Suly chat, Suly said it would probably take at least 12 million to sign him.
  7. He also implied Losman may not get a job in the NFL and he is outside the top 50 QB's in football. Peters is expecting 12+ million a year, and 10 million isn't going to get it done.
  8. and catching, and fumbling. But yeah other than that he ran real hard towards the called hole.
  9. I thought this was a major NO-NO when Bush considered it. Now it's okay?
  10. Stop looking out the tops of your bi-focals when using your computer.
  11. That option is only available in the HDDVD option. Bluray version of google earth is crippled and is the reason that won't work. Sorry fez, I had to do it.
  12. They should get married for the children. When he gets tired of the womans bitching, he should beat her up and choke her until she passes out. That's the Hollywood way.
  13. I personally don't agree, but it is less subjective than a bunch of homers who over estimate their players. I think Andre Johnson is probably 1st or 2nd in the league. Oh and yeah Roy Williams is a lot better than Evans. Probably top 5.

  15. But you're just assuming he can, and isn't afraid. I suspect maybe that maybe he could and maybe it isn't called, but maybe he also can't/won't. Just an FYI from an independant source , scout ranks him the 22 best WR in the league.
  16. Smith does it, harrison does as well. Again that is a huge set of routes that he is unwilling to do and makes him much easier to cover. It's also why having TO and last year even with Reed in there really makes the team better. Evans is good, but he is too limited in capability that he should never ever be considered great.
  17. As DML pointed out the Bills did just fine with Chambers starting.
  18. You're missing something. When Reed went down that's what got us in trouble. None of our receiver were capable of doing crossing patterns and middle routes, thus making it much easier to cover. Evans has some issues when people get physical with him even on the outside. Evans rarely goes over the middle and never near the LBers. He may do a deep middle route but that's not the same. It's also why we're eaier to pass rush against when reed was out. Other than RB's there was no checkdown receivers when Edwards was pressured.
  19. See you lost all credibility. Evans never goes across the middle.
  20. The great ones step up and overcome. IMO, he is Peerless Price version 2.0. A few upgrades, but not much else.
  21. Take the homer glasses off. Evans isn't that good.
  22. Yeah how'd NE do after Bledsoe left. That's two. Players come and go. At that level there really isn't much difference in talent between a pro bowl and a decent player. Coaching, schemes, and play calling have more to do with it than the actual player. How do you think Arizona was throwing for 300+ yards every single game with a "bad LT". It's because he really isn't as people here think (take off your homer glasses), and the play calling and other players made up for it. Stop think that Peters is worth the 13.5 million per year he is demanding. Ralph is a cheap bastard and if h pays that you won't even have the chance to try to address the other 4-5 holes we have, not including depth. We'll go with league minimums. Get rid of Peters and he becomes a burdon on someone elses cap and we have the chance to possibly fix more holes than it would open and if an average LT can be found for even half that cost then put it on the coaches to plan for ways to win.
  23. yes I have. it's racial.
