When my wife was in labor, the doc told her she would only get one epidural, so he wanted her to hold off as long as possible. Well she decided say 6 in the evening. Along about 8, me putting on the straightest face, told her that the epidural was almost out. I thought she was going to kill me when she found out it wasn't. She still thinks I am a total ass for that one.

I had pot roast. Cooked slow in the oven for about 5 hours. Started with a ceasar salad. Had some licorice for dessert while watching Marley and Me.

Umm... no actually it's like his 5th contract. he was a FA signing. Then cut, signed to practice squad. Then signed off practice squad, then given a 5 year deal when he got the starting tackle gig. So he is trying for at least his 5th contract reneg in 5 seasons.

He sucked, yet he gave up no sacks to the defensive player of the year in the NFL. If I owned a team and he gave up no sacks to the NFL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR and allowed my Qb to throw for 400 yards, I'd be pretty !@#$ing happy with his performance.

That's your opinion. Of course if it wasn'tfor a great reception in the endzone, you'd be singing the praises and whining that Gandy was cut. Again, even if Peters is above average for a LT, which in my opinion he isn't, putting that much cap space in any one player is idiotic, and even more so for a guy who can't stay on the field for 16 games, and shown he can get a bad attitude and want a new contract at the blink of an eye.

He gave up no sacks and had 3 holding penalties. He also did well enough that his QB threw for 400 yards. Oh and did I mention he blocked well enough that they made the playoffs and went to the super bowl? What a concept. Of course Peters gave up the most sacks of all the LT's in the league and he only played in what 11 games maybe? that's pretty sad.

That I don't know. Too many variables. Who is available, costs, etc... I believe that you should be able to find a servicable LT in the 3-4 million range Using the 12.5 million he wants, could then upgrade LB, Guard, and TE even if only one starter and 2 depth players. For the same dollars you seriously upgrade 3 other positions and likely stay pat with someone who is more willing to work his ass off for 4 million over tube of goo.

And yet, the NFL seemed to think I was off by only one. 3 players in the AFC east were selected to the pro bowl in front of him. That is a fact. My viewsare pretty damn close to accurrate.

No, Peters was already overrated by most. I have never liked his play. He's good in catching that quick outside rusher, usually which is nice, but he's never gotten a push in the run game and even as strong as he is, tends to get manhandled by stronger DE's 50 pounds lighter. How he ever got voted to the pro bowl the first time, I have no clue. He's always been mediocre at best.

Two teams made it to the super bowl this season without a pro bowl LT. One won it with one of those non-pro bowl left tackles. the other was one of our own scrub cast offs. Sorry but it's nice to have a good LT but it isn't vital to pay half your salary cap to one lazy overrated tub of goo.

That's what they do in local government here. State law says they must post a maximum property tax rate, and what it would fund. usually about 20% higher than the previous year and really no chance of ever passing that high. Then people come and B word to the board about how much they are spending, why is the county employees all getting 20% pay raises, etc... Then they vote only bring it up by 3-5% and every bithes that the county is destroying schools by slashing funding 15-17%.
