Week 9, Bills v. Bengals - Predict the Score
DuckyBoys replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Home Alone the Burglars Revenge Bills 28 Bengals 17 Media on Monday says not surprised Bills won but say they still suck and will find a way to come up short and then proceed to make excuses for Burrow -
I think the Bills win because they play closer to their ceiling instead of showing up lackluster I bet they have been stewing on that Bengals playoff loss and come out to prove a point I'll be very disappointed if the Bills show up flat again. Will also be angry if McDermott coaches scared this week Just play to win and dont be afraid to take shots on both sides of the ball
-
nfl is week to week Think Bills fan suffering from recency bias which goes both ways Few few weeks ago people were looking past the Bengals Now its a foregone conclusion we have no shot All in your perspective
-
RT? cant chip w Knox/Davis/Kincaid forever to hide Spencer Brown Think he's had enough time to show what he is or isnt
-
we basically acquired a quality starting cb on a later round draft pick swap who instantly becomes the #1 corner on the roster Sounds like one of Beane's better moves
-
Beane out shaking the bushes seeing what might be available

Bills signing Fournette (for real this time)
DuckyBoys replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's a good fit Can pass protect and you can still check down the ball or hand him the ball on pass downs Bet he can still close out games running the ball as well -
Week 8 - Around the NFL (i.e. NOT a Bills thread please)
DuckyBoys replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall
think the extra days help the Bills for next week Browns lost, KC on their way Bills need to handle their business We can catch up w Miami with a series sweep -
depends on matchups and my interest waxes and wanes as the year moves along Might peep in on Pats Fins and try watch Cincy 49ers later Sunday and Monday night games look boring this week

Why is this team, and staff, so dumb?
DuckyBoys replied to Bermuda Triangle's topic in The Stadium Wall
the hail mary defense is on the coaching staff Clearly they are not teaching the situation properly and I agree insert two tall athletes with your dbs on the back end to knock the football down Its a microcosm of the dumb stuff this team continues to do on a regular almost weekly basis -
Fitzpatrick's veiled criticism of Dorsey?
DuckyBoys replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
did Dorsey go super conservative those last 4 drives all on his own or is he doing what McDermott instructed? -
Well his use of time outs and in game management is not good and his inability to get away certain tactics costs us games He has a relatively healthy offense yet makes them go conservative putting more pressure onto his defense which is missing a ton of key pieces I question how he handles personnel as well Always be in the back of my mind thanks to Natham Peterman He lacks the ability to grow and adapt McDermott is the same guy coaching this team like they were the 2017 team he inherited
-
yes the Bucs caught a ton of breaks/lucky bounces to have a shot at the ending but the Bills allowed it with bad play calls, lack of discipline on defense and taking their foot off the gas too soon All trademarks of McDermott
-
they need him for the post season was the plan If McDermott can get out of the way of the offense we just might make it there Maybe he makes a impact

Fitzpatrick's veiled criticism of Dorsey?
DuckyBoys replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
red zone play calls were once again mystifying That bubble screen almost was a pick 6 Why not qb sneak from under center or handoff on third and a foot? I wot blame Dorsey for 4th quarter Those calls has McDermott written all over them Play not to lose as always Some positives Nice to see answer to the blitz and bubble screens fast passing game got multiple guys involved Feel like they left at least 10 points off the board with some dumb nonsense -
win didn't inspire any confidence Honestly I have zero confidence in the Bills being able to overcome McDermott's nonsense Bucs game coming down to a hail mary seems ridiculous

10/26/23 Week #8 TNF GAMEDAY Bills vs Buccaneers Pregame Thread
DuckyBoys replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
panic in the streets on the bills message board -
Falcons should have blown the Bucs out 3 red zone fumbles from their qb otherwise its a total blowout Bucs also hurting Bills at home on short week
-
Problem with keeping McDermott is the defense is now old and he is going to continue to pile resources into it vs going balls out on offense. Safeties are old who even knows what we have at corner He is going to convince himself its easier to squeeze more from the offense by limiting mistakes vs opening up the offense Yeah we could certainly do worse but think the Bills need a new sense of direction and I dont think McDermott has it in himself to reinvent who he is and how he thinks they can reach their goals of a title
-
think he put too much into week 1's results Jets defense did the same thing to Mahomes and Hurts Did they too go into a shell? Put it out of your head and play your football
-
Devils advocate...what is Josh is the problem?
DuckyBoys replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Defensive head coach who wants to limit risk That is the problem No risk means boring predictable offense Funny thing is when the rubber meets the road and they are down on the scoreboard and time is running out he then expects them to shake the reigns off and play fast and loose We have the 2020's version of Schottenheimer running the show -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
DuckyBoys replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
defense has failed in the same manner over and over again Defending a lead they played scared and soft against Mac friggin Jones How do you again give up 40 yards on a screen pass ? That is on McDermott Not sure how many more failures he needs till he tries a different tactic like dictating to a offense what they can and cannot do -
In real life Josh Allen had an NFL average game yesterday.
DuckyBoys replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
can he be better? https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-qb.php or is it more realistic to ask the rest of the team to approach mediocre -
If you are the owner and you decide to get rid of one
DuckyBoys replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dorsey The ship doesnt right itself this season and at least make and win a playoff game then McClappy/Beane Enough is enough, stop wasting the Allen window Might be 20 years again once he's gone before we a qb again
