It may change a bit, but not entirely. I would imagine this mindset is ingrained in you from playing this sport for free for 16+ years. Old habits die hard and that is tough to brush off to the side. They all say the right things, and James Connor has softened the blow. But if the Steelers were not doing well rushing the ball this year you can bet that team would hate him. They wouldn’t say it publicly, but they would despise Le’Veon Bell.

People talk like this, but it isn’t really correct IMO. If you have ever played on a sports team or been involved in a team activity, you know it is nothing like going to the office 9-5. You go to battle with these guys. At least that is the attitude the true winners in sports tend to have. When you treat it like a job is when you fail to produce and do not meet your potential. Sports teams are nothing like a 9-5 job.

Super bowl preview November 19th?
PetermansRedemption replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could be a super bowl preview. I’m not sure the Rams can get through the Saints (Hell of an NFC championship shaping up). I don’t think the Patriots will be able to tame the Chiefs for the AFC though. -
The thing is, it wasn’t even remotely funny. Taking a page from his article, Peterman probably could go work for Goldman and become far more successful than that writer ever will be.

No way he obtains close to that after how this year shaped up. First, he proves that he is a me first player and will never put the team above all. Second, James Connor’s performances hurt Bell’s value. Connor proved that RB’s can be found in the draft and recycled. He also showed that the the Steeler’s OL was a big reason for Bell’s rushing totals. All it takes is one foolishness GM to overpay, but I think anyone with half a brain can see Bell isn’t worth anywhere near his ask.

Zay Jones and pass interference
PetermansRedemption replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what I was thinking. It is stupid, but it seems that he has not “earned it”. Other receivers cry for a flag and get one. Zay isn’t there yet. -
I think it was a completely fine move. Some people seem to forget that AJ was not good in the preseason. He likely would have played no better than Derek Anderson had he started. Which is probably the same train of thought Beane and McDermott had. If you can get any asset for a completely replaceable player, you do it.

Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
PetermansRedemption replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What we want Allen to retain from Peterman or Anderson from the past four weeks is precisely nothing. -
Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
PetermansRedemption replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If this will help him come along faster, I will be all for it. I’m just not sure the best way to go right now isn’t letting him sit for a little while. He has not been watching and learning the past 4 weeks, we want him to learn absolutely nothing from Peterman or Anderson. With Barkley we may have an average to slightly below average QB to learn from. Instead of the pure trash that is Peterman or Anderson. -
The Best Team in the NFL is......

So far, Saints. The way they are playing they seem nearly unbeatable. The playoffs this year will be fun. Saints, Chiefs and Rams are all heavy hitters. -
Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
PetermansRedemption replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
? let’s not pretend Allen was good. He averaged 150 yards per game started and has 2 TDS vs 5 INTS. Even counting his rushing TD’s he has 5 with 5 INTS. I want to see Allen succeed as much as the next guy, but he absolutely doesn’t give the Bills the best chance to win right now and can definitely learn from sitting behind an actual competent QB. -

The fact that people are seriously discussing benching the guy who just led the Bills to their best offensive output in forever is ludicrous to me. Allen has been far from impressive, it will not hurt him at all to sit and watch (and hopefully learn). If Barkley played like Peterman or Anderson then sure, start Allen. It would be going from the bottom of the barrel to an unknown at that point. Right now, Barkley has had one game as a Bill and thrived. There is absolutely zero reason to start Allen right now. It will not hurt him at all to sit and learn until Barkley falters. In all likelihood, he will sooner rather than later. -
Who's the worst team in the league now ?
PetermansRedemption replied to 1st&ten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Raiders for sure. I don’t think it’s particularly close either. They sealed their fate when they got blown up by an UDFA rookie playing for the 49ers.
