Here’s the exact rule from the NFL rulebook at the time. NFL Rule 3, Section 22, Article 2, Note 2. When [an offensive] player is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. It was actually in the rule book until 2013. 100% the right call as Brady’s arm is going forward and then tucking in. Incomplete forward pass.

Did you also watch their game against the Eagles? People talk about this every year because he’s been in decline. It just hasn’t been as evident as this year. Brady’s arm isn’t scaring anyone who has watched his games. He can’t hit the deep ball and he’s missing throws that prime Brady could hit with his eyes closed and throwing behind his back.

I was also not happy they signed him for one year. I wonder if that was the Bills choice or Phillips. If it was Phillips choice it worked out very well. At this point we will have to see what he demands. I’d overpay him for 2-3 years but no more than that.

Never understood why everyone thinks the tuck rule is a Brady protection thing. It was directly in the rule book, in black and white. In fact, I think it was in there until around 2010. It was absolutely the correct ruling on the play. But a lot of people (not saying you, but a lot of people) think it was a rule made out of thin air to protect Brady. Brady’s intention is irrelevant with the interpretation of the rule. The correct interpretation was applied in that scenario.

Some of these NFL rules are just stupid. The uncovered on the end of the line ?‍♂️ What is the point of that rule. Just go with high school rules. Eligibility is based on number, that end would never be an eligible receiver, so no need to have him covered. You can still keep the NFL “reporting eligibility” thing. But none of these ticky-tack calls that are pointless like the uncovered at the end of the line.

Trubisky and Goff are completely average (or below average) QB’s.

Have you watched Baltimore play lately? Sure, they could come out and lay an egg, that is always possible. Barring that, they are going to toast the Bills. The Bills have had troubles stopping the run, Lamar is probably the best runner in the NFL at this point. It just so happens he is a decently efficient passer as well. Oh, and they have a guy named Ingram who is also a pretty darn good running back. In addition to that, they have a solid defense. Just a bad matchup all around. I have a very difficult time seeing the Bills coming out with a W. For my money, the Ravens are the best team in the NFL this season.

I don’t get the Duke Williams inactive either. He comes in his first game and plays like 60% (maybe even more) of the snaps. Then disappears because he becomes inactive. Weird situation in my opinion.

What’s worse is the Bills had a need at TE and passed on him ?‍♂️. Two hometown players (or at least big Buffalo ties) in recent memory that ended up being phenomenal. Mack and Gronk. Should have had them both.
