I think we’re seeing the dreaded 30 year old wall with diggs. Dude has no separation. And he’s dropping balls.
He was lighting the league up the first 9 weeks or so. It’s unlikely he just randomly hit a wall.
There’s a pretty good chance he’s playing hurt… context clues seem to say so. His snap count the last 3 weeks has decreased around 25% from his season average (87% is season average and he’s around 62% since Philadelphia). There were a handful of early season games where the starters got pulled early too…

If Elam can't hang with the WRs the Pats are throwing out, then it's time to give up on him.
Seems like sound decision making 👍🏻

Bills fans were asking for Allen to be for vocal with his teammates when the team was struggling. But when another qb does it it’s a bad thing? Brady did all the time. It’s competitive passion.Yeah, I don’t think there’s a right answer to this.
Some people love Brady’s style of leadership. There’s nothing wrong with it in my opinion, but it’s not my preferred style. I actually love the way Josh approaches things and would prefer to play for a guy like him. That’s just my preference.
At the end of the day it comes down to that individual and them being their authentic self. Josh being more vocal, from what I understand, would be uncharacteristic for him. Which in turn, would have the opposite impact on his teammates when it is time to rally them. He’s a little more silent, he plays harder to get guys to play hard for him. If he does speak up, he usually goes after the other team, not his own team.
I don’t know enough about Mahomes, but what he’s doing now doesn’t seem to mesh with how he’s typically been/been perceived. I think that’s the issue.

In historical context we lacked a running back room, but we've stuck with the same philosophy where we rely on Allen to punch it in instead of RBs. There aren't a lot of teams int he NFL where a healthy #1 RB has 2 TDs on the season, are there?
It’s not Jalen Hurts scoring from about 2 yards out on average. Josh is scoring from about 7 yards out on average.
He’s not “punching it in” on QB sneaks like Brady or the Hurts tush push. He’s a legitimate threat to score from anywhere inside the 20.
Fine, penalize him for using his legs. We’ll just ignore the shovel passes from Mahomes, Tua and Purdy inside the 5 too.

Darnold ripping off a TD drive is just evidence a mildly competent QB can succeed in the Shanahan offense.

Purdy up to 12 turnovers on the season… his pass catchers lead the league in YAC.
Is he playing McCaffrey into the MVP with this putrid performance??

There are a lot of ways someone could argue that. First, we didn't lose Allen. We also had adequate depth, clearly, and we didn't lose our key players on the cusp of making the playoffs.
At any rate, currently, I'd take our talent on offense over that of any team in the AFC right now.
I agree, but I’d also attribute our slide between weeks 5 and 9 to not having Milano, Jones and White. Plus Oliver, Rousseau and Floyd at different points. Being down 6 starters on defense is not being overcome frequently.
I mean we lost to NE with Kendall Vickers playing DE.

There is for sure. Also, so are inuries. Consider, the Chargers were just without Herbert, Allen, and Bosa, three of the best at their positions in the league. ... and others. aka we're not the only team in the league to sustain key injuries.
Yeah, that’s fair. Everyone has key injuries for. We just had our key injuries occur in Week 4/5 not Week 14/15. Makes a huge difference when it’s 13 weeks instead of 3 without key starters.

Look at our offense against them.
Yeah, 24 plays for 176 yards and 14 points.
Where is the Chargers domination?

No doubt that his shoulder is hurting. The hail Mary a couple weeks ago. Last night to Diggs. Seems like a lot of sidearm throws. Maybe off-season surgery like Purdy had. Same injury I believe. Just push through it until after the Super Bowl.
Purdy had surgery on a torn UCL. That was the injury Josh suffered last year.

Oh you can make the playoffs, but that doesn't make you worthy of being a playoff team. Every year there's 1 or 2 teams that barely make it and then get blown out by the real teams. Joe Flacco and Gardner Minshew (it autocorrected his name to Grander he's so unpopular) have a better chance of making the playoffs than Josh Allen. They wouldn't fold to the Chargers backups
I mean, depending on where you look, Buffalo has the 5th best odds in the AFC?
Nobody “folded” to the Chargers backups. Big fat W for ya yesterday.

I guess the only two options for him in your mind is "Greatest player in the league" or "terrible". I guess it isn't enough that he's a top 5 QB that makes incredible plays and plays incredible games while also having terrible plays that drag down his potential. Oh well. You'll have to keep on blaming the refs for why he doesn't wint he Super Bowl every year and a league-wide conspiracy for him not being crowned the first active player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
You’re the gift that keeps on giving.

I guess he'll get to carry his runner-up to the runner-up MVP trophy at the Bills annual "at least we made the playoffs" parade in January.
Cool. We should probably just trade him honestly, he kind of sucks.

Diggs was wide open. Had his man beat badly. So I don’t mind the attempt. Execution has to be better though .What I have noticed is that he is missing his receivers short a lot this year whereas in years past he has often over thrown them.I mean that one was tough. He was rolling to his right and threw the ball back across his body to the other hash like 40-50 yards?
Can anyone else even do that?
Just now, BullBuchanan said:Allen still isn't anywhere near top 5 for MVP and he probably went back even further after his performance today. This thread was silly when it was started but each week it goes on approaches lunacy.
Sooo what happens when he finishes top 3?

D. Jones coming back is so underrated for Ed Oliver. He’s been balling on his own.
When we lost Milano, we lost our best defender. When we lost Jones, we lost our most important defender.
If he can manage to play at 75% of what he was doing before Jacksonville, uh oh AFC.

Agree but they are equally as bad as anyone too.
If we get the good version of the Bills then look out.
A bad version and we know the results.
This team has a low floor and a high ceiling. They are capable of missing the playoffs or winning it all.
Let's hope for the latter.
They may be inconsistent, but they’re not low floor. We’ve watched them bottom out this year and it resulted in 1 score losses that were entirely winnable.
That’s not low floor.

People who think the Bills can win the Superbowl this year will be disappointed. Take it one week at a time and enjoy the ride because it will end without a Lombardi. What team in the AFC looks significantly better and has been playing more consistent football this season?
I’m not saying they’re winning the whole damn thing, but they’re as dangerous as anyone, possibly more dangerous.

You're looking at just a few plays that do not compromise the full game. The first half the chargers dominated us on the field. We made mistakes, yes. But, our defense couldn't get off the field, our offense was sputtering, our special teams was aloof. All of this is a common team. These coaches we play sure do a great job psyching the teams up to play us: giants, jets I, chargers, and so many others.
We play without temperament, without swagger, we play like McDermott behaves and that is not the personality of the key players on this team, the leaders.
McDermott is not the coach for this team.
LA in 1st Half
14 Plays, 90 Yards in 6:40 (FG)
4 Plays, -2 Yards in 3:26 (Punt)
4 Plays, 27 Yards in 1:14 (TD)*
3 Plays, 7 yards in 1:31 (Punt)
7 Plays, 12 yards in 4:33 (Punt)
1 Play, 6 yards in 0:33 (HALF)
33 Plays, 140 Yards, 10 Points
*TD came off Deonte Harty fumble
The Bills ran 24 plays for 176 yards and 14 points.
What the ***** are you taking about?

If something is probable, there is a good chance that it will happen, but it is not certain. If there is a 90% chance of rain today, it is probable [=it is likely] that it will rain.
The scenario outlined above has less than a 3% chance of occurring and you use the word probable?
