  1. If indeed we had the NFL's top special teams unit for 3rd time in 5 years, than it's clear that ST's are not a significant driver of playoff teams. Yawn...
  2. Very disturbing news for our 44th president.
  3. Kenwick, I can't argue with anything you've stated in the original post.
  4. I agree with you - I have not understood this either.
  5. The small print in Ralph's "cash to cap" states that COACHES salaries are included.
  6. Jauron and Hank Bullough are a tossup, but I'd give the edge to Jauron.
  7. What he said.
  8. Is it the OC and HC that didn't throw to Hardy, or was it the QB that didn't?
  9. Looked at NFL.com and buffalobills.com for "calendars" to indicate when the first day is, with no luck. Anybody know?
  10. I have never been very optimistic about the team staying in Buffalo after Ralph's passing, but I have to admit that the guy really defines himself by his loyalty to Buffalo. That gives me some hope that he may require his family to sell to owners who will agree to keep the team in WNY, at least for a specified period of time.
  11. I DO get to relive MY favorite day. Mine is the day that Jauron first told us how hard it is to win in the NFL.
  12. They were all so good, I just can't decide!
  13. But we have........continuity!
  14. What did you see on "the film" that leads you to the conclusion that there is poor communication between Jauron and Schonert?
  15. Marv pontificating about how a team should handle Super Bowl week. Funny. I'm sure Tomlin and Whisenhunt are paying close attention.
  16. Agree with this thread topic - rarely are our receivers hit in stride.
  17. The last time we brought in an over-the-hill player was when Donahoe acquired Drew Bledsoe on draft day. We all know how well that turned out. We ain't trading for any more over the hill players.
  18. I think Robert Royal is a Pro Bowl caliber TE. - signed, Marv Levy
  19. Once again.....I applaud THIS specific move. Just noting a trend that Ralph's circle is extremely tight ever since Donahoe left. It hasn't exactly worked. At some point you become so insulated that you close off your options.
  20. I applaud the move, I think it's a positive sign that they saw the wisdom of bringing in a fresh set of eyes, BUT does anybody else find it curious that the guy they grab just happens to have a history with the Bills? Think about it - what are the Bills' most recent front office moves/promotions? 1) Levy hire 2) Brandon/Modrak/Guy promotions 3) Nix acquisition It's almost like these days, if you are not a known commodity to Wilson you have ZERO chance of joining the front office.
  21. Does anybody know where we stand with the cap going into the 2009 season? Haven't heard from Clumping Platelets in awhile... Not that we will spend up to it - I don't believe we did last year.
  22. That statement takes me back to what clueless Kelsay said in response to Ralph Wilson's postseason statement that next year more assertive veteran leadership is needed on the team. From Chris Brown's blog: "For co-captain Chris Kelsay that struck a chord. Not so much in terms of how he and his co-captains have led this team, but in making every player on this team a leader of sorts so that accountability is more widespread. “I think it’s definitely more than just a couple of guys,” Kelsay said. ”I think you have to have entire units step up. Eleven starters step on the field every Sunday whether it’s offense, defense or special teams and in one way or another it’s time for everybody to realize that it’s time for all of us to each do our part so we’re better collectively as a whole.” He just doesn't get it. I guess he is made of teflon - comments and criticism apply to everyone else EXCEPT HIM!!
  23. My answer: Sorry Ralph, but the HOF is for winners only.
