Time for some help ...
-
Bill Cowher's wife didn't want to move to Buffalo ? Move the team to wherever the Cowhers live.
-
I'm sure the Hughes comments and the offense blowing last week's game affected the mentality of the defense. I know, they're pros and should still give 100%, but attitude is everything.
-
Cant wait to hear McD's presser ...
-
Why is Anderson slapping the ref's ass ?

Can't wait to watch the tape

I disagree. He got some much needed game experiance. You can see the physical ability. Also you can see the areas he needs to work on. At this point of the year Allen would just be playing and trying to make things happen for an offense that lacks play makers. The injury in my estimation is a blessing. He can watch and see what decisions Anderson makes and why. Pick up somethings and know how to better attack when he is back in there.
If Anderson's decisions are worth watching ... we're not talking Aaron Rodgers here.

Fairly certain he'd rather Josh Allen fail than be wrong. I am hopeful, but I don't have a lot of confidence McD has a clue about offense. Next offseason is critical in terms of putting folks around Josh to give him a chance to succeed.
Critical indeed - Josh needs an OL, better WRs and another RB.

None of these things matter without a quality QB.
We have one - give him a chance

Will leave this here ....

Jeez, why can’t buffalo have that play in the playbook ? I think Allen can heave one to a wide open guy like that
We don't have a receiver that can get "wide open'

No shaking Josh's right hand and pics or you weren't there.

My concern is if he needs a brace like that, how come he walked off the field on Sunday and went home bare-armed?
Docs probably didn't put it on until the swelling went down a bit.

I just can't say enough how much I believe this will be a blessing in disguise for Allen. It's entirely possible this elbow injury saves his career.
Josh was sinking out there and on the verge of losing his teammates' confidence as well as his own. He wasn't improving despite what some fans had deluded themselves into thinking. Now he gets to go back to the drawing board while he rehabs. He has time to go through his throws and identify where he was messing up mechanically. He can see all the opportunities he was missing with open receivers, how he could have manipulated the defense, where he had additional time in the pocket, etc. He'll get to watch another QB go through game prep and debrief. For the first time all year, he'll get to look backward and with the benefit of hindsight he'll improve moving forward.
By the time Allen comes back he'll be a better QB with a renewed appreciation for the opportunity life has thrown his way. He probably still won't be good enough, but he'll be much better prepared and with his confidence intact. He'll probably start to look like an NFL QB.
Is that before or after the Bills start looking like an NFL team ?

So we're back to what should have been the original plan with this team. Play the vet (McCarron->Anderson) until week 13 until the Bills are out of playoff contention and then get Allen reps weeks 14-17.

You forgot what Anderson looks like, huh?
I forgot what Fitz looked like until the beginning of this year.

And still need a QB. And nothing I have seen this year says anything different
Allen is a rookie with a crappy OL and average receivers at best. And Shady is on the downhill slide ...
Assuming Allen is OK ...

Ife he needs the surgery i dont see HOW the Bills cannot take a QB early in the draft.
Maybe cuz they need a RB, some WRs, and an OL

QBs today who passed for over 300 yards, include:
Jameis Winston
Mitch Trubisky
BROCK !@#$ING OSWEILER
Josh Allen, who actually played fairly well - had 80-something yards, including two longish pass plays that were called back because of stupid penalties.
It's called catch and run yardage, something the Bills' receivers don't seem to do well.

Peterman will be cut this week

The majority of posters on this board would have proclaimed Elway a total bust and called for a complete FO firing.
I had just moved to Colorado just before the 1983 season.
Elway was a "fawn in the headlights".
Josh Allen is NOT going to be a "game manager" type of QB.
Build a team around Allen not around the scrubs we got now on offense.
To be honest - 1984 was better but not fantastic. Allen will take time - McBeane needs to get him some help.

Don't think it's any coincidence that Benjamin's numbers have improved over the past couple of weeks with the trade deadline looming and now supposedly Dallas is keeping an eye on him. The thing with Allen last week makes ya wonder if he even wants to be here.
