He is done, has been since week one.
Time for him to go.
Like this week. Bring in some grocery bagger.
Guaranteed the Bills wanted to trade him - no one wanted him at a 3rd or 4th rounderr

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I actually think Peterman will have a decent game and the Bills will lose a close one.

Yep and Bills are very high in the waiver order. I don’t expect them to claim him though with that contract. I could see them signing him afterward.
No one will sign him with that contract and he'll probably have his choice of where to go after he clears and if he still wants to play.
Rosen must've said "Mentor ? I don't need no stinkin mentor !"

Bradford has more than 4 years of experience so ordinarily he would not go on waivers but it's past mid-season so it applies.

The guy was a phenomenal athlete at one point - good at every sport he tried. Prolly could've played pro golf if he really wanted. But in any event, he's set for life.

Josh Rosen played a 1-6 team at home. Said 1-6 team has a bottom 5 defense. Crown him.
And he's got a future HOFer to throw to

lol OK
John, amazing at how many experts come out of the basement when Rosen has one good quarter against a 1-6 team.

I'm just pointing out that first round "project" QBs haven't worked out in the last almost 20 years. My guess is that that's likely a combo of their being drafted much too high for their actual talent level and for being put under pressure by being expected to start --and succeed -- too soon.
Fair enough but I'm in the camp that thinks he will succeed. And I think we've seen that all rookies QBs have their warts.

I was hoping that maybe Mayfield would fall because of his height, but Rosen was my second choice. My guess is that if Mayfield had been there at #7, McJackass would have passed on him, too, just as they did on Rosen. That's the Billsy thing to do. They passed on Russell Wilson back in 2012, too, because he was "too short".
Rosen led a great last drive which ended with a pretty TD pass ... and then tossed a pass to Larry Fitz for the 2 point conversion to make sure that the Cards didn't lose on a last second FG. I haven't watched much of Rosen, but he looked much improved over some of his previous outings.
As for Darnold and Mayfield, both struggled against tough, experienced defenses that can bring it against young, inexperienced QBs, which they did.
I hope that Allen can develop into a franchise QB, but I think he has two big strikes against him: he's a "project" QB and project QBs don't often pan out; and he literally has no support around him with suspect QB coaching, poor OL, and a non-NFL caliber WR corps. FTR, I can't think of a first QB drafted since 2000 who was described as a "project" who went on to become a franchise QB or better. The successful "projects" recently have come from below the first round, including Tom Brady, Tony Romo (UDFA), and Kirk Cousins.
What difference does it make in which round he was selected ? Get him an OL and some weapons and then give him a year or so. And then we'll see ...

Nice finish by Rosen. Didn't expect that considering the way he played the first 3+ quarters. Good for him. I remain unimpressed, but the fact that he looked pretty good in the 4th quarter STILL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ALLEN.
Rosen has Larry Fitzgerald

Rosen just LOOKS frail out there, especially compared to Allen. But I guess he’s at least still playing....
IIRC, he's already had two concussions. One more and he might be done. He does look frail.

Mayfield looks like the real deal--plus he's handicapped by the worst HC in NFL history.
What was the OP's point again?
Not today he didn't

The thing that sucks is he is obviously a NFL talent level player........
If he is truly living with his uncle....then what better place to monitor him but by family in Buffalo
John, the guy's 24 years old. What's Jim gonna do, watch him 24x7 ? From the looks of it, Jim is never home either. Chad needs to get treated for his issues and at this point probably thinks there's nothing wrong with him. I want him nowhere near Josh Allen even if it appears Josh is a really good kid.
Jim could do him the best favor by getting into rehab. Let him sit out for a year, clean up, and then beg for tryouts. Good news is he's got ability and my sign on somewhere next year.

I mean....not even as a practice squad player?
I would def sign him to the practice squad
No chance - this guy obviously has issues one of which is substance abuse. Don't want him around any Bills, including the practice squad. But wouldn't be surprised if Jimbo had already made some calls to management about his nephew.

For those of you that like to rip Allen after 5 games, let me leave this for ya. I'm sure I could find numerous other rookie abominations as well.
Not sure why anyone would expect more from the kid with a pathetic OL, limited targets, and a run oriented offense.

Flat brim is ridiculous, I agree plenz. On about any age. It looks acceptable on a 150 lbs something yr old with the skinny jeans because the skinny jeans are for more of a disaster than the hat.
The basic '47 caps are good enough for this old guy.

Exactly and most players don't live here in the off season anyways
