  1. Somehow the thought of Miami fielding that call from Oakland and saying no thanks sticks in my mind. After all Rosen was the guy they were supposed to be shot in the a$$ over and they didn't bust a move on him either.
  2. Apparently the extent of their desire Arizona's desire was 1300 points. I think both QBs would have been waiting for you at 12. But what's the difference? It is clear that the Bills wanted this guy and didn't want to take the chance that someone else would take him. I might not like the result but you have to applaud them for not wanting the guy to get away. The same thing that - in my mind - lead them to overpaying for Allen landed them what I felt was a top 5 talent in Edmunds. Knife cuts both ways.
  3. so it's safe to say that if I look at your posts, I'll find that you haven't made up your mind on AJ McCarron or Nate Peterman ... right?
  4. You forgot to include [/sarcasmfont]. Here's two names that Buffalo Bills fans should remember: Tarik Glenn and Adam Meadows. You see, that's how a truly brilliant GM develops an organization through the draft. That's how you go to the HoF as a GM. You don't bring in projects, denude the team of talent and draft picks, watch the offensive line retire, and pick up bull **** WRs to supplement head cases. I need some time for mourning. I'll be cheering every Sunday and hoping this fine young man does us proud but tonight ... this turned out so close to being exactly what I thought would happen. So close.
  5. yes. Like Babe Ruth and Mike Hampton were both pitchers that could hit a little bit. Same type of pitcher. Except that Pat Mahomes got better every year in college and finished his career throwing for 5000 yards and 41 TD against 10 INTs while completing nearly 66% of his passes, after completing 64% as a SOPHOMORE. Oh yeah, and there's this little thing about Pat's bloodlines. Please, stop. I'm trying to like Josh Allen. Don't compare him to Pat Mahomes and get our hopes up. Let him be Josh Allen.
  6. Tell you what ... the Bills could have turned that draft pick into Martavius Bryant, kept the 22nd pick in the draft, and walked away with a future multiple Pro Bowl OL in Isaiah Wynn. Instead, Wynn is going to obliterate Bills players the way Logan Mankins did for years. Best offensive linemen in the draft, to the Patriots.
  7. Is there a better QB for Allen to back up than AJ McCarron - if he has issues with learning the NFL and learning about accuracy and learning to be a backup?
  8. See you Saturday. Don't wake up early either. Funny thing, in my mock I posted here that I had them moving to 7th for a QB and to 16th for a LBer. Not these guys though.
  9. OK. I changed my mind. Welcome to the Mafia, Josh. We got a whole lotta projectable talent tonight.
  10. On the bright side, he's probably the only QB in this draft that could possibly out live our offensive line.
  11. I'm sorry ... it is the absolute height of stupidity to trade 2 #2s for a guy nobody in their right mind wanted. Certainly not at 7.
  12. my only consolation is that Rosen won't play for the Phins or worse yet ... the Patriots. I thought for sure Belichek was going to bust that move to 10.
  13. we can move up here with 12, 53, 65 and a 2nd or 3rd round 2019 pick
  14. Two teams without a lot of pics: Tampa and Chicago.
  15. No way Indy makes a trade out to the Bills - maybe to SF but not us
  16. Nelson likely go to Indy ... Tampa has got to be the target for the trade.
